Manchester United vs Manchester City 3-1 - All Goals & Highlights - FA Cup 2024

But today, this is Manchester. The atmosphere is absolutely terrific inside Wembley Stadium. Well played, the Football Association, they always put on a good show. Prematch has been entertaining, hacking play, with Marcus Rashford leading the way. He scored the winner when these two last met in January. The owner of refereeing, the game goes to Paul Tierney. It's the red of Manchester. And there's a good try. Oh, incredible. From the start. Going to open up. Couldn't have been a worse start for him. But he can't. And that's just run too far. Kevin De Bruyne delivers. And that's heading goalwards and only just wide. De Gea was absolutely motionless. Planted past the post by Roderick. De Bruyne puts it in, but straight onto the head of Lindelof. Here's Grealish. He's lining up the shot, but he's not caught it properly. Scud Brentford last weekend. The only defeat that City have suffered in their last 26 matches, but they weren't. It's not the worst for Wembley. Grealish has got out of it nicely. Haaland. There's Gundogan. And there's Haaland. This season has just been incredible. Working work. Here's Haaland being made to work. But being held onto all the time by De Bruyne. Never quite on balance there. Turns Varane. And then he has a go. And it wasn't far away from dipping under. There's a moment there where Casemiro's looking at De Gea and saying, just give me the ball. On the edge of the box. He wants the responsibility. You have to really stretch his legs to keep that in. It's a good effort. Casemiro. Rashford with the delicate header. Needed a little bit more on it. And now De Silva finds him again. De Bruyne's shot. Had it covered. But it did not miss by much. No, he did. He had it covered. Penalty Manchester United. They have a way back. And Jack Grealish has a question to ask. United are back tens on target. Well, it's as cool as you like. From Bruno Fernandes. He'll be arguing that it wasn't a penalty. Jack Grealish. Once it was given. Silva knocked down to Kevin De Bruyne. His chip is too high. Bernardo Silva. Now it's played in and headed away. Casemiro's stones. He tried to pull it back for Haaland. De Bruyne is there. Fred saw him off. Gundogan wants a penalty. De Bruyne too. Eriksen Fernandes is handily placed out of the box. Rashford goes into the box. David Coutts having a good look at this one as well. And he really ought to have got it on target. Well, the fans were chanting Casemiro. Knowing how dangerous he is in the box. And he causes the issues at the near post just there. Luke Shaw stops the run of Bernardo Silva. Shaw is down. Really good defending from Luke Shaw. And a rough of a run is taken away. Sancho can't get it through. Grealish. Tripped. There's another one. And Grealish has been caught again. He was going to take it. Too high for Haaland. 1-1. In the 142nd FA Cup Final. Germain, we could go. Good run by Jadon Sancho. De Bruyne. And Lindelof. It's behind Haaland. Fred. Fred has kicked City. Gundogan. He got it. Not quite so much of a cracker. Backbomb. Drifts into the corner. ...for his team. The City have their lead back. Well, you can see it. ...trying to double up for the day. He might have had the chance to shoot. There's Wan-Bissaka. John Storms. Fred's challenged. Did he get a bit of a play? He missed it again. He does look for somebody else. He's looked back across. Gundogan. Too high for Haaland. 2-0. Back in towards goal. Storms. Storms has gone for it. ...to shove in the back two before being... Now, Radford. Well worth a goal. That flew. Gundogan wants it back. Gundogan's got it back. And now Grealish again. And here... Oh, Garnaccio. And Garnaccio is not far wide at all. ...not for sure. ...tried to play it across to Bruno Fernandes. City just scrambled it away. It's not going to work. Garnaccio. Stepping over the ball. But he didn't throw. Storms off the centre. Fernandes. And here's Grealish. And he moved across in front of Fred. And Fred finally is going to get a yellow card. And he's... Here's Bernardo Silva. And it's just missed by Manu Akanji, who was lurking with intent. I'll tell you what. He's a big header here. Foden. Fred across him. Haaland through. And it's bounced off him and wide. Well, the 1v1 message wasn't taken on because the one he's meant to be watching nearly went through and scored. ...at this dangerous point. And here's Garnaccio, who's making a positive difference. Foden out of control. Runs away from Casemiro. He's a late cross. He pulls it just too high. It's a shame for Grealish, who has moved across from left back to stop Foden finishing this off. Garnaccio. Garnaccio into the mix-up. That's all for today. We'll see you next time.
