Located in the East Village, right across the street from Tompkins Square Park, we have Tompkins Square Bagel. This district of Manhattan is one of my favorites. From the park to the street art, this is a young urban area to hang out in and enjoy a delicious New York City bagel. If you're in New York City, you need to get a classic New York City bagel, which is why I highly recommend Tompkins Square Bagel. They hand make all their bagels right in the back, so they are so fresh. We're about to get the lox with cream cheese, which is a staple New York City item, so let's go get this bread. They hand make all of their bagels fresh every single morning, so I can guarantee you this place will not disappoint. I am so excited to show you guys where we are heading next, which is right here at Katz Deli. I almost got hit by a car. Katz is one of the only remaining Jewish delis from over a hundred years ago, and it's been in a bunch of movies that really helped popularize it and make it a staple that you must visit and eat at if you're in New York City. So loud! Let's go to Katz. Katz is one of the places on this list that you have most likely heard of, and there's a reason for that. Founded in 1888 by Eastern European Jews who migrated to New York and brought their culture and recipes with them. Even over a hundred years later, Katz is still passed down within the family and pride themselves on not really changing much and keeping their traditions. For one, their meat is so tender that it must be cut by hand. It is to die for. So if you come to Katz, you must get the pastrami on rye and also with the deli mustard. This is also a massive sandwich, so Chris and I honestly just split one, he's gonna have half. Chris, take your first bite ever of your first Katz Deli sandwich. What'd you think? Insanely good. There's a reason why everyone will come to New York just to come to Katz Deli. Alright, guys, it is freezing out today, but we are here at the Canal Street Market in Chinatown and we are about to get some ice cold bubble tea. Bubble tea, Brett needs his fix, and Boba Guys, they're from San Francisco and now they have a couple locations here in New York, but they are the best place to go to to get bubble tea here in New York City, and I'm gonna show you guys their specialty Boba drink. It's my favorite. If you are feeling something more exotic, then I do totally recommend this. This is the strawberry matcha latte that just combining both of those two things and then also I have oat milk in here just makes it so incredibly delicious. And Boba Guys, I love them because they have the best Boba. I love it so much that whenever I come here, I'll get a cup of water with Boba in it. Just for the extra Boba. It's so good. That's good. Now for this next place, this is somewhere that I've come many times. We are in the East Village on 9th Street between First Avenue and Avenue A, about to go to Superiority Burger. This is home to one of the best burgers overall in New York City, but even home to the Impossible Burger, so it's a vegan burger. You can't tell the difference, and it just tastes absolutely delicious. Now there is a bigger burger that you can get, but we just went with the standard Superiority Burger, and it is a little small, but I promise you that every single bite of this burger is gonna be worth every penny. Wow. It really is this like magical warm feeling on that first bite. They have like the delicious sauce, just the burger is so good, the bun, everything about this burger is worth trying. Have you ever had an Impossible Burger? Never. Never? Never. Alright, here you go, Superiority Burger. Let's see if you can tell. How good is that first bite? It's magical. Really, really good. What you said, the sauce, also very unique. It's a good sauce. Now the reason why I did want to go with the small burger from Superiority Burger is because if you go just half a block away, I am now gonna show you guys one of the most delicious slices of pizza that I have ever had. This place is so good. So I recommend getting the small Superiority Burger and then getting some pizza from Village Square Pizza. What's up, Joe? Good to see you two days in a row. But now I'm telling all my friends about your place. Yeah. It was so good. I will take one of these. Can we get the famous Mike's Honey too, please? On it? Yeah. I'm so excited right now. Look at that. Sweet, sweet honey. Sweet and spicy honey. I'm going back tomorrow again. Another day after that. This is so good. Good? Dude, honey on pizza? You should be doing this. If you're not, forget pineapple on pizza. Honey on pizza. Located in Chinatown is New York City's first dim sum spot, Nam Wah. This restaurant is located in Chinatown's Bloody Bend, which was once a street known for its high gang activity. It was also known as Murder Alley. Now this street is a bustling tourist attraction with bright lights, restaurants, and even a good spot to get a cheap haircut. If you guys have seen previous videos, you know that I have featured Nam Wah before, but it is personally one of my favorite restaurants in the entire city. It has delicious food and also is Chinatown's oldest dim sum spot that is about to turn 100 years old this year. So Nam Wah, happy early birthday. Now the literal translation of dim sum to English is a little bit apart. And when Nam Wah first opened almost 100 years ago, it was just a tea parlor since back then it wasn't acceptable for Chinese restaurants to have tea and food. But after they made a decision that it would be best for the brand of Nam Wah to serve tea and also dim sum. So that's when this became the first ever dim sum parlor in New York City. You think since Nam Wah sponsors basketball teams, they'll sponsor a video? Nam Wah? You get my photo right here with the YouTube channel? Dude, what is that? One of my favorite things and something that Nam Wah is known for are the rice rolls and the shrimp dumplings. Highly recommend it. They make it so good here and they just smother it in so much sauce. Alright Chris, moment of truth. Let's see what you think your first time at Nam Wah. That is so interesting. Rice? Wow. One of the most notorious street vendors in all of the city, we have Halal Guys. This started off by three Egyptians who only sold hot dogs to taxi drivers. But the taxi drivers didn't find this filling enough, so they decided to take it back to the roots of chicken over rice. This first really only gained attraction to Middle Easterners, but now this has become a phenomenon where locals and tourists will wait in line for hours. They still operate out of their OG location on 53rd and 7th, but now have branched out to over 200 locations internationally. Yes? Can I just get the chicken? Chicken rice or chicken sandwich? Chicken rice. White sauce, hot sauce? Both. So I'm about to try the official Halal Guys chicken and rice meal. They are also very generous with this sauce. You have to get the white sauce and the red sauce. That is a total flavor bomb. I feel like there's just so much going on in your mouth right now. I've had plenty of other Halal food trucks throughout the city, but nothing that even compares to this. Also, for $9, you get a hefty meal. I feel like Chris, we should just split this. This is huge! I'm not sharing, dude. All mine. Okay, even though it is winter right now and freezing out, we are about to show you guys one of the best ice cream places in New York City. Now, me personally, I've never had this before, but Chris over here is saying that this is the best ice cream in New York City, and we must have it. This is it right here, April Hills. What else can you tell us about it, Pac-Man? It was just founded in 2011 by this one couple in Brooklyn, and mainly the purpose of the ice cream shop was to bring a local spot for people to just come together and enjoy ice cream. It ended up being more than that because it is, in my opinion, one of the best scoops of ice cream you can get in Manhattan, and now there are stores, I think there's four or five locations in New York, so we're at the one in Chelsea, and we're gonna go have the best scoop of ice cream. And hopefully you guys heard any of that with New York City sirens in the background, but yeah, let's go eat this ice cream. Ready? You cold as an Australian? Yeah, let's go. It's really cold, so naturally, we eat ice cream. The best ice cream in Manhattan. Yeah? The inside of it. Oh, the inside. Alright. I'm biased. I trust you guys. Yeah. What is the best flavor? What's the go-to one? Signature flavor is the Chelsea Morton. Okay. Can I try both of those? Chris, you did a phenomenal job. Ample Hill, this is some amazing ice cream. I do highly recommend this, even this location here at Chelsea. The employees are super friendly, and they recommended that we had to try the Ooey Gooey, which is this creamy cream cheese vanilla with butter cake. And then also, this flavor is only here at the Chelsea location. This is the Chelsea Morton, and this has rainbow cookies in it with another vanilla, and it's just absolutely delicious, unlike anything I've ever tried before. And they said that the Chelsea Morton actually came from a song by a famous artist that they wrote on this apartment, so this is a cool story to everything here at this store, and I do definitely recommend this. And try the Ooey Gooey. You know it's good when Oprah recommends it. Now, all of these 10 places I have personally been to before, but this one, I wanted to include a taco place, and I didn't know of one that was just extravagant and just more extraordinary. But I have my friend Abraham here. Abraham knows New York City restaurants better than anyone I know, so he tried taking me to this place once before, but the line was out the door, which is a good sign. Yes. But here we are going to, what's the name of the place? Los Tacos No. 1. I guess they're the No. 1 taco place. That's where I got it from. This is efficiency at its finest. I'm impressed. Thank you. So far, the atmosphere of this place is really cool. It feels like we're in this Mexican cantina in the middle of New York City. And we also found out that this place was actually founded by three friends who were from Southern California and Mexico, and they wanted to bring that part of tacos to the East Coast. Abraham, let's try this taco that you rave is the best taco in New York City. Feels nice and soft. Got some guacamole. That is good. You never let me down, Abraham. This place is No. 1 for a reason. Now, last but not least, I've saved the best for last. This is something you have to try if you are in New York City. This is the Pizza on Pizza at Vinny's here in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. And they literally, instead of pepperonis or other toppings, they put mini pizzas on the pizza. So, we are about to go try this out. I cannot wait. Let's do this. It's because of the tap water. So, to elaborate, New York City has some of the best tap water, and so the dough a lot of the time is used, like when it's getting mixed, like you add water to it. So, they say that the cleanness and freshness of the tap water And the sauce. Makes the dough and the sauce taste so good. All right, boys. Here we go. Pizza on pizza. That is Vinny himself, and he's the one that came up with this idea. This pizza on pizza. Best idea ever. Kudos to Vinny. We have so much pizza.
