Nairobi's Best After Work Hangout Spot to RELAX

Welcome to the brand new Wine & Bottle here in Yari. So the restaurant just opened about a month ago and it's very nice. It's fairly big as well. It's divided basically in two different areas. At the bottom you have kind of the restaurant and cafe and on the second floor you have the bar with a very nice view. I have one question for you. What is the best pizza on the menu? The best pizza on the menu. According to you, your taste. I'm gonna order one of those. Thank you very much. Cheers. It's the second restaurant in a row that we filmed during a massive rainstorm. So just switch those mic and hopefully the audio is fine. So we just placed our order and for the mains of course we're gonna get the barbecue pizza because the pizza YOLO downstairs said that it's the best pizza and Tracy and I, we do love a good pizza. And the other one is gonna be a steak because one I love steak and second because the waiter said that it's the best option. They have super good music here and I didn't realize but they have happy hour. Buy one, get one. So I just ordered one but they brought me two whiskey sours. Very nice. I'm gonna sing all night. So why do I fake a microphone? I have one. So for our starters, we have the butter prawns and then we also have a crispy bruschetta which has cheese on it which is different for bruschetta. So that looks really good. Very good guys. And let's try the bruschetta. They're different because normally bruschetta, bruschetta, bruschetta or bruschetta? You let me know. They don't have cheese so that adds a lot of flavor and normally like the bottom is crispy but the bread is actually like fresh and soft. It's a different texture but I like it. That is very good but Dave is right in the sense of it's a little bit not typical but still flavor is fantastic. Now the shrimp for me. The flavor is really good. The only thing is the ratio shrimp and vegetable is a little bit off. There's not a lot of shrimp but a lot of vegetables but the flavor is really really nice. So when Dave was going around doing his footage they mentioned that the barbecue pizza was the best pizza that they had. I personally love barbecue pizza so of course that's the one I chose. Looks really good. Flavor is really good too. Now let me taste this pizza for myself. That's nice. Here's the thing. Normally I don't like barbecue pizza but this one is good because they didn't replace the tomato sauce with barbecue sauce. It's still tomato sauce with a little bit of barbecue sauce over it. This steak is massive. I got a t-bone. It looks amazing but first the fries. I lost it. Nice. Nicely seasoned. Very hot and crispy. Delicious. They taste like mcdonald fries but just a bit thicker. And that's a really good thing. It's amazing. First bite of t-bone. Nice meat. Well seasoned. Nicely cooked. Medium. Really good. They're also winning because they have our favorite hot sauce. We put this on literally everything. Something else I have to say. Most food items on the menu are actually very very reasonably priced. My massive t-bone with vegetables and fries which are delicious by the way. Only 22.50 Kenyan shillings which is really good for like the quality of the meat and especially when considering you're in a restaurant. I mean nothing wrong with that. I feel like I didn't give you guys a bathroom tour in a while. So you know the black tile on the wall on the floor. Metal urinal. I like the style. It's nice. So I'm not sure what to get. Sorry the menu's on my phone. For dessert we only our deal is we get one and we share. We can't have two. Sometimes I just bring two anyway but we only ask for one. Between the date pudding or the chocolate brownie with chocolate ice cream. I don't know what to get. For a dessert what one's better? The date cake or the death by chocolate? So it turns out they didn't have any of the options that I wanted but they had a new option that wasn't on the menu. A salted caramel cake. So we're gonna try that. At least that first bite tastes like salted caramel and it's not dry. We'll see how it is when it gets closer to the end. Okay Kenya don't get mad at me but a lot of cakes in Kenya are a little bit drier. This one is actually nice and moist. Well we're done with another delicious meal and we'll be back. I like this place. Yeah so the way I would categorize this place is like you want comfort food. You've had a long day of work and you want to come here. At least for us like this is the place that we would come. And don't forget they have happy hours as well. Yeah. Highlight would definitely be I love the bruschetta. I know it's simple but I really enjoy them. And the pizza. I love the pizza. Get a pizza. The pizza. The pizza. But your fries too for me. I know it sounds really weird but the fries were like perfectly done. Yeah and once again like the prices are reasonable. Yeah. The service is good. The only thing I'm going to say if you look the reviews online they just opened. Okay so give them a chance. Yeah. There's a lot of negative reviews right now on Google because they're saying that the service is slow. We've had a little bit of hit and miss but they just opened less than four weeks ago. So let them run a little bit and I'm sure it's going to get better because the food, the ambiance, the music. The music is the best. We were dancing all night. Yeah and also they have another location in Westlands as well. Yeah. So anyway we're going to go back home because it's past our bedtime and until next time see you guys in the next one.
