(Laliga 2023/2024): Highlights ATHLETIC CLUB - VILLARREAL

It is party time in Bilbao, a week after winning the... ...not centrally, both brothers playing at the same time. It's Uri with the shot from long range, clawed away by Filip Jorgensen, and then cleared further by... knocks it back for Baena, Parejo calling for it, instead it's Comasani, now Gerard Moreno onto his left foot. How will their stamina be? We didn't talk about... Will they be absolutely buzzing with so much euphoria? And it's against the post, he puts it in, but it's not going to count because nobody got a touch, so it's no goal and Gerard Moreno... ...constructive a try at least. Now the free kick is a poor one, blazed over the crossbar from Gurutheta. Marcos... The cross is good, Gurutheta's finish wasn't, and it hit... If you give a penalty for that... There's no argument. So hold on for a point, or maybe even more. Uri driving inside, good ball, Sancet strikes it, saved by Jorgensen. Great body shape. So many red and whites forward, and Nico Williams goes down. That one's different, Andy. For my taste, that's a penalty. Pedrata grabbing him. Imminently. Here's Herrera. 20 minutes played in the second half, the cross coming in, Gurutheta heads down, and Sancet, what a finish! That is a piece of magic from Athletic Club. Sancet with the volley, thumping it into the bottom corner after the precise header down. Things happen, Baena back to Guedes, wants to shoot, does shoot, it's a powerful one, batted away by Uznai Simon. A vicious hit when it's struck properly, and they gave him too much room. Here's Elias, excellent run, it falls out for Baena, good block, another chance, Parejo! When they talk about making your body bigger, it's when you do it deliberately. He's doing it as part of a block, not a penalty, but they're going to give it. Baena in his career from the penalty spot. Dani Parejo, to equalise, and he does! It is a perfect penalty, crunched into the top left corner, and Villarreal get themselves back on level terms. Dani Parejo from the spot, and you can hear what the Athletic Club... A highly eventful, highly entertaining game, seized a point apiece at the end of it. Ernesto Valverde and Marcelino, high five, and that man would be very frustrated, denied by a controversial late penalty, brilliantly put away by Dani Parejo.
