UD ALMERÍA 0 - 0 ATHLETIC CLUB | RESUMEN LALIGA EA SPORTS | J24 | 2023-2024

In the La Liga table, they're in the semi-finals of the Cup 2. But tonight, the job must be done at Almeria. The home fans turning out in force once again under the floodlights. On to the head of Iñaki Williams. That's a neat ball too, from Unai Gomez. Shot from outside the area, first chance of the game, gathered by Max Gou. And there the cameras capturing new Almeria signing. Ramazani with Lobby, it's the 1-2. And the shots! And it's spilled by Unai Simone, and Uri has to help him out. But there is a flag up. First top-four finish in a decade. They have a corner here, it's Berenguer. And that is a terrific strike, that was Warren Maximiliano. Alibre again picking up some clever positions, just drifting in and out the lines. And here's Villalibre! And that is into the chest of Maximiliano, Gallas at the second attempt. Well, he hit the targets. It's in the middle, and that is an absolutely brilliant save from Maximiliano. How he kept that out from Lobby. That's another ball in, this should be the opener. It's in, it's Lothar who gets the contact. But doesn't get the angle to really test Unai Simone. He has Adrian Barba available too, that should be another. Three-kick. And a yellow. And a second yellow. And how that changes the game. Ramazzani commits a silly mistake. On this near side of the area from Mignacchi to Amatz. And there's a header, it's off the post from Raul Garcia. He doesn't need anything to create danger with his head. One of the best headers of the ball in the last decade. Trying to get the ball away, it's two-by-two. And it's Melero and Merenzi. Here's Melero, Merenzi to win it. Merenzi's hit the crossbar. That's a golden chance for Almeria, one minute from the end of normal time. To send the powerhorse into rapture. Here's Gerrard, Almeria. Can break, it's four against two. Play allowed to continue again, it's Melero. Still Melero, what can he do? Still Melero, Melero goes on, he's brought down. Referee says nothing there, and that should be it. And Almeria have had, what, three counterattacks in this absorbing encounter to an end. Matchday 24 concludes in La Liga EA Sports with Almeria still without a win in 23-24. They have given it their all.
