The CX-60 SUV, which is about to debut in Taiwan for the first time, is the first hybrid power car launched by Mazda.
This car also marks the first step in the development of high-end cars in the Taiwan market.
However, the competition in this segment is not easy.
One of the strong competitors is the Lexus NX350h, which was launched in 2022.
This five-seater car is equipped with a lot of advanced technology,
including the hybrid power system verified by Mazda.
How is the comparison and competition of this high-end hybrid power SUV segment in Taiwan?
In terms of body size, Mazda CX-60 has more space and different luxury configuration advantages.
The size of this SUV is 4740mm long, 2134mm wide, 1680mm high, and 2870mm wide.
On the other hand, the size of Lexus NX350h is slightly smaller, 4660mm long, 1865mm wide,
1670mm high, and 2690mm wide.
In terms of safety, the advantage of Mazda CX-60 is the multi-side safety bag.
Other functions include ABS, brake assist, electronic brake distribution, parking sensor, rear camera, and vehicle stability control.
All of these are combined with the start-up assist system, dynamic stability control system, and traction control system.
Although the number is not as much as the competitors,
the NX350h has 10 safety bags, which is the largest number compared to the competitors.
In addition, Lexus also equipped this SUV with ABS, brake assist, electronic brake distribution, parking sensor, rear camera, and vehicle stability control.
When several competitors choose to reduce the amount of engine exhaust, Mazda actually increased the engine size.
The performance is impressive.
The CX-60 is equipped with a 3.3-liter 6-cylinder EN Skyactiv-G turbocharged engine.
Combined with a 48-valve hybrid power system and an 8-speed automatic transmission,
it can produce up to 284 horsepower and 45.8 kg-m torque.
On the other hand, the Lexus NX350h has a smaller engine, a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 259-valve battery.
Due to the automatic hybrid power transmission CVT transmission system,
this SUV can produce up to 240 horsepower and 270 kg-m torque.
In terms of price, Mazda CX-6 is not yet announced for sale,
but it is estimated that the price of the Lexus NX350h will reach more than NT$2.07 million, around NT$1.8 million.
In conclusion, these two cars have advantages in luxury SUV competition.
Mazda CX-60 is excellent in terms of interior space and wide range of safety features,
while Lexus NX350h benefits from the proven energy-saving hybrid power technology from Fengtian.
The choice between the two depends on the individual preferences and needs of the consumer.
