Summer in europe☆ (good eats and things to do in italy and south of france!)

Good morning, it is our second day here. We are in Florence right now. Yesterday after we got off the flight, Samson and I headed straight to see two wedding venues, which it's going to be in a separate video. I'm going to be making like a wedding series video. So that is super exciting and I will be showing you guys the venues that we toured. I'm really excited to show you guys because the two venues we toured, they were both pretty great and it's making me very excited for like wedding planning and all that. But today is more of a chiller day. We are just going to spend majority of the day in Florence and then we are going to Tuscany where we were yesterday to look at one more venue. Just got ready and we're just going to walk around Florence. We got breakfast already this morning because the hotel had like free breakfast, so that was really nice. But I'm really excited to get a gelato in Florence. We decided to sit down and get something to eat. I'm going to get margarita pizza, pasta and an apple spritz. I kind of have to. Are you going to get one? Apple spritz. More wine? Apple spritz for me. Thank you. Let's get some gelato. Green Victoria. Let's go. Where are you going to get to? They have sorbet. I'm thinking coconut. Oh, or the panna cotta. That might be yummy. Oh, actually I'm going to get the coffee. I think the coffee will be good. Hi. Can I get one scoop of the coffee? Sorbet or fragola? Fragola. We just returned our car. We're back at the airport. We're buying tickets for the train to go to the train station that's going to go to Rome. So we're going to head to Rome today. It's an hour and a half train ride. We've got all our suitcases. We have too much. I'm sweating. I'm responsible for the little one. It's that one. It's the one that's taller than me. All these people. We've got a good appointment in Boston. Alright. We're at the Trevi Fountain. There is a million people here. I kind of gave up on taking a photo. I knew it wasn't a possibility, but I wanted to try. I tried to rent a Vespa, but we actually need a motorcycle license in order to rent it. I wanted to rent it to come here because if you know, you know, the Lizzie McGuire movie, he doesn't get it. But the girlies will. We got our coins and we are going to toss it. Right hand, left shoulder. Do I have to make a wish? Like a birthday wish? I think so. Alright, cheers. You're not doing anything. I'm drinking. Oh, okay. Ready? I already threw it. We just spent the afternoon walking around the city. It's so beautiful here. And we just saw the sunset. It was so nice. We attempted to make a TikTok. It's Mr. Samson over here. He said my angles were not good, but I'm going to put the video here and you guys tell me. I met a guy on the train and I got off with him in Vienna. We're still there. I think they're decent. I think they're pretty good. I feel like the photos I take are flattering. Yeah, the angle I took was flattering. No, it's not. Yes, it was good. You looked very handsome. A lot of pasta. He said he's going to drink the water. He's thirsty. You should cup it from your hand. So you're not... It's like the one you get at the restaurant. Okay, so yeah, that's probably what they gave us. Yummy? Your turn. Freshly. Wash your face. Why are you running? It's free. I feel like I'm not right for you. We landed in Nice. We're on our way to the place where we're staying, which is like a villa, I think. And it's in Provence. It's about a two-hour drive from Nice to Provence. And we came across this beautiful, beautiful beach. There's a boardwalk over there. So I think we might check that out. And then look at these beautiful mountains in the back. So, so pretty here. I think this is my favorite place that we've been this trip. So pretty here. And there's also not that many people. Yeah, this feels very homey and quaint. So pretty. Samson found his store. Hello. We looked at two venues today. And now it's already almost dinner time. It's almost eight. So we came back to the area that we're staying in, which is the city of Aix-en-Provence. And we're going to find some food to eat. What do you want to eat? We saw a tapas place yesterday. They had onion rings. And chicken nuggets. Would you want that? No. We didn't come all the way out here for that. That's true. What should we get today? We randomly found this restaurant called The Sing First. The food actually looks really, really good. So pretty here at night. We got some live music through Restaurant Sound. So we're just enjoying the night here. Tomorrow we are going to be heading to Saint-Tropez. We are going to... What is that place called? The Gorge? Verdun Gorge. We rented a kayak. It's so pretty in the photos. And we're going to kayak along it. I think our reservation is for two or three hours. It's quite a lot of kayaking. Quite a lot of kayaking for you, actually. Because I don't do much. I'm going to have to carry you again. Yeah. But it's really pretty. So I think it'll be a really nice experience. Thank you. And some gyoza we got. Why did we get gyoza? Oh, they have like, look. They have like little shrimp tails in the back. Look who got a burger. You got a burger yesterday. Who's going to eat it straight out of that? How is it? Pretty nice. Ceviche. That's really good. That's fire. Don't you wish that was you? Yeah, I do. I'd be chilling. She's not really pedaling. I am pedaling. I'm going so fast. Wow, super fast. See? Look how fast. Look at the wind blowing in our hair. You're not doing it. I am. I'm going so fast. We are at Noto. Just got a burrata. It's huge. And they have live music here. We're overlooking the water, which is really, really nice. Right over here. What? These are huge. Good. It'll be full. Can I get some, please? Good morning. We are still in Saint-Tropez, and we're walking around now, looking at some of the local shops before heading to Nice. I love all the little flowers in the alleyway. Okay. We just found the cutest store in Saint-Tropez. I'm going to try on this little yellow dress. Oh my god, it's so cute. And also this little gingham set. Gingham set. This store is so, so, so cute. On our way to Nice right now. About an hour away. I wish we had more time in Saint-Tropez because we only had really just like one day. It's actually really nice that we rented a car because I feel like we were able to go to multiple cities. I think what most people do is they have like a base city and they take the train from there and do like day trips, which I think is also really convenient because in some of these cities, it's really hard to find parking. Also, I feel like driving is a little scary, especially if you're not a great driver. Like Samson's a pretty good driver and he thinks these roads are really curvy and narrow. And we're going through the mountain and we're just literally going like this side to side. So it is a little bit scary. Once we get to Nice, we're going to check into our hotel and we're going to just walk around and explore a little bit. If we do decide to have our wedding here, I feel like it would be so nice to come back and be able to stay in each city for longer. For our wedding, we'll know which places we want to go and spend a little bit more time there. Provence is definitely one of our favorites. Well, maybe that's because we had more time in Provence. So many cities that are like hidden gems that I feel like we just haven't had a chance to see, but hopefully next time. We just arrived and we are going to try to eat at this restaurant. It's so cool. Don't have a reservation, but this whole area is so beautiful. It doesn't look like there's that many tables being seated right now. So I think we'll be able to eat there even just for like a drink or something would be so nice. So you have a reservation? We do have. You're welcome. We got so lucky. Enjoy your dinner. Take your time. Enjoy the food. Enjoy your tea. We got so, so lucky with this table. They sat us literally right by the water. But this beautiful view. We got really lucky for some reason. I think it's because we came a little bit earlier. It was only like 6.30ish. But I will say, if you guys are in Nice and you want to try this restaurant, obviously just make a reservation. Definitely get a spot where you can try your luck and walk in a little bit earlier too. This is what it's looking like. Look at that. So pretty. This beach, I believe it's called Cote d'Aize. But it's south of France. Literally in awe. People are just swimming here and living their best lives. Guys, I don't know how we ended up here. But we are in London. Our flight got cancelled for a day. So we're stuck here for a day. Add another city onto our list of European destinations. Unexpected city.
