Medvedev Takes On Borges; Hurkacz vs Cobolli; Zhang, Sonego & More Feature | Halle Highlights Day 1

This time he gets it. Very good start for the Portuguese player. Handed back on a plate there from Borges, so... Big booming strike on the forehand side. But it could go there, Medvedev, but that is... Good anticipation. You could just see him, couldn't you, just sneaking over. Oh, well, that is a classy point from both players. Medvedev, the court coverage, but... Wow. He was determined to finish in style. That opening set. Oh, glorious. Lovely touch. It is Daniel Medvedev who gets the win with a chuckle at the end there. Oh, yes. Well, that'll do nicely. Oh, what a great return. It does. Great return. Sometimes they even land in. Yeah, well done. That's a superb pick-up. Oh, the touch on display again. Right when he needed it the most. To go into. Nice speed. Good wheels from Kabaly on that occasion. Got him again. He's guessing right. Oh, just over the top. Oh, he's made it. That'll do it. Not his tightest match, but he'll take it. Tough challenge from Flavio Kabaly. Oh, that's through the gate. What a touch that is. Seen a couple of really good drop shots so far in this encounter. That's very clean indeed. Did not need it. Oh, wow. The best of the bunch we've seen. Oh, wow. Might be the one. That's a high-quality finish there from Jacques. Match on grass. It's very good from Jacques. Anticipating the right place to be. That's just about evaded. Lovely. Carefully dealt with. That's a terrific tussle. And it's Jacques Gijet who gets the win here against Opner. A whole host of bright points for Kepfer in that opening service game. Nicely finished. Great way to finish off the opening sets. Oh, that felt good. You could hear it off the rackets. The sound that it made. He hit that so sweetly. Nicely done. And there is another break of serve. In fact, Kepfer actually slipped over at the back of the court. Oh, it's sitting up nicely. Kepfer has seen the ball so, so well. Oh, dear. We saw that look that he gave. And that's it. That's it. Dominic Kepfer. Close to victory. I think he's a little shocked actually. I think everyone is. Well, disappointment for Ojele Yassine. But great for Dominic Kepfer.
