(Bundesliga 2023/2024): Highlights Union Berlin - Freiburg

Let's come to Djokovic and Aronson and GOES HANDS! There is a check here for handball. Union Berlin penalty. Here we see the incident. The arm is away from the body there from Makengo. Is that going to be deemed a natural position by Freiburg's standing centre-back here? Breath-baited decision. Union penalty! Yellow card as well here for Makengo for Freiburg. For Union Berlin, step-up Josip Joranovic from the penalty spot. Joranovic! Oh, saved by Atubolu! Pushed away by Atubolu. For both clubs' ambitions this season, how big a moment might that be? Makes the save. It's Aronson. Aronson for Vitessen! Here's Aronson. Aronson still. And Hollerberg! Cue cacophony. Cue chaos in Koepernick. A roar of relief. As much of a celebration. Weishaupt for Freiburg. And Grifo's cross for Dohan! A goal to have Koepernick quaking. In strike's final minutes, as Freiburg coach, his team land a huge body blow on Union Berlin. On the ball, in here by Trimmel. Met there by Gregorich. Now, referee says penalty. Wow! Eggerstein here, two hands on with Duque. Trimmel's ball into the penalty area, and there Eggerstein, manhandling, wrestling Duque. Union's season all comes down to this. Kevin Volland! Again turned away. Alhambra! Not us! A goal which for now takes relegation off the table. For Union Berlin. And Yannick Herberer! Full time. Union Berlin are safe for another year in the Bundesliga. But my word, this was left late.
