Religion 7. Religion is not a practice.
Although religion embraces practices,
in reality, religion is not a practice.
We cannot unify religion into a practice.
Even the ancient religions were not practices.
If it is a practice,
the ancients called it by the name of practice,
we do not need to give birth to a new word
as religion to refer to it.
Practice is the work of one's own self,
an individual,
not related to any organization
or anyone outside it.
The practitioner is the self-improvement
of one's personality,
to raise one's self-esteem
to a higher level.
The purpose is to achieve life-changing,
Religion is not like that at all.
It is the problem of a group of people,
of an organization with a clear doctrine.
Although it also aims to improve
the personality of human beings,
it has never improved the personality
of the practitioner himself,
but to improve the personality
of other people,
of other objects,
is to improve the personality of human beings in society.
This is the first thing that makes us sure
that religion is not a practice.
To improve the personality of oneself,
the practitioner requires the practitioner
to look inwardly at himself,
inwardly to see himself clearly
Religion is not like that.
It aims to change other people,
so it looks outwardly, outwardly.
Looking at the object is the top of religion,
as a human being outside society
to carry out religious activities.
With two completely opposite views,
ancient religion aimed to put
human beings into religion,
to make human beings survive in religion,
to carry out survival activities
around God and religion.
Meanwhile, practice with an inward look
has made the practitioner achieve the result
of putting oneself into meditation,
making oneself achieve a change
in spirit and body,
making the spiritual life purified
and in a high state,
the body is refined and healthy.
Although the religious practitioner
wears the clothes of the practitioner,
their effort is to put it on others,
to put it on objects,
to find a way to activate,
to lead the object according to the purpose
according to the desire of the religious practitioner.
This is not a practice at all,
not a practice,
so religion is not a practice.
At the same time,
the most basic and ultimate purpose
that the practice is aimed at
is to make people become gods.
From Buddha Thich Kha, Lao Tzu
to Jesus, Allah, Buddha Ajita, etc.
are all aimed at this purpose.
They all make people believe in them,
practice and practice according to them
to achieve the ultimate goal of becoming gods.
This is the highest and only purpose
of the practice.
Religion in essence has no purpose.
Although religion is formed on the basis
of Buddha Thich Kha, Lao Tzu or Jesus,
they all have no purpose
to make people become gods.
Religion simply aims to satisfy
people's faith in the gods
who have successfully practiced.
Religion is formed by people
so it only satisfies people's problems.
It encourages people to be good people,
it satisfies people's desire
to worship Buddha,
it satisfies people's desire
to stand in front of Buddha.
Religion has no purpose
to make people become gods.
This is also a relatively easy problem
to affirm that religion is not a practice.
In the practice,
people do not act out of society.
Ancient practitioners
all went to places where people lived
to practice.
They only got in touch with society
during meditation.
But the practice of meditation
was not done by people in society.
They did it for themselves,
for the pride of themselves
in the practice.
Meditation is to eliminate
the kind of human nature that still exists
in the human body.
It is for the purpose of self-cultivation
and self-cultivation
to make oneself flourish
in the process of meditation.
Therefore, meditation is very difficult
to achieve the purpose of expanding
and spreading in the public,
in the human society.
On the contrary,
the activities of religion
are continuously directed
towards the human society.
They propagate the teachings,
they teach,
they organize memorials, etc.
They are all directed towards the human society.
Each activity of religion
is carried out extensively.
The purpose of the propagation
is to collect information,
to attract people to religion,
to make religion expand and flourish.
Therefore, we see that Western religions
are transmitted to the East.
That is also why Buddhism is known
by the Westerners.
The practice of meditation is not like that.
It does not organize a form of propaganda.
It is passed on because people like it.
It is only transmitted in the form of
people transmitting people,
Only a few people know about meditation,
believe in meditation,
and silently practice meditation.
As soon as people believe in meditation,
they will immediately enter a state of
silent self-improvement,
no longer directed towards society.
Therefore, in ancient religions,
the practice of meditation is separated
from the practice of religion,
so that these two activities exist independently,
not related to each other,
even when they are in the same religion.
Although ancient religions
kept meditation inside,
religion is still not meditation.
