Am I the asshole for not sharing my fries?

My husband, 28 male, and I, 28 male, went to a local burger place this weekend for lunch after running errands.
He chose a cheeseburger and a milkshake, without fries, while I went for a combo with fries and a soda.
After confirming his order one last time, I paid for both meals.
When our food was ready and I brought it to the table, he almost instantly started grabbing some of my fries.
I told him to knock it off, but he kept taking fries, insisting he was only taking a few.
Frustrated, I swiftly purchased a small fry for him.
He muttered, Jesus, and asked me why I couldn't have just shared.
I explained that I wanted a full portion of large fries,
and he argued that it was fine since he was only taking a couple.
However, judging from my past experiences, he tended to consume half of my plate quite often.
I didn't talk to him the entire car ride home,
and now he's even angry at me for giving him the cold shoulder.
