LUXURY ROAD TRIP IN SWITZERLAND IN WINTER

We've just arrived in Switzerland and have an incredible week ahead. We'll be heading off on a magical road trip, stopping off at Lausanne, Saas Bay and Zermatt. It's a great time to visit. We'll be exploring the beauty of Lake Geneva, hiking up in the snowy mountains of the Swiss Alps and taking on one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. Along the way we'll be enjoying stays with Preferred Hotels, the world's largest independent hotel brand, representing over 750 hotels, resorts and residences across 85 countries. This trip is guaranteed to make you want to visit Switzerland. We've just caught the train from Zermatt to Gornergrat and this journey is known as one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. When you get to the top you have this epic view of the Matterhorn. You can't come to Switzerland without eating your body weight in cheese, so tonight it's fondue night. We're in the beautiful village of Saas Bay and we're heading off on a bit of a snowy hike. I can't wait to get up into the mountains. The landscapes here are absolutely stunning. We have left the hotel to explore all of Zernhaster Upper, but it's pretty nippy today, so a quick van show to warm up with.
