We'll start off with the fact that Aaron Judge has gotten too good for real life baseball.
He's now ascended into an alternate cartoon reality, a Paw Patrol reality, before he ever
even reached a World Series reality.
I'm going to be honest, I'd be kind of pissed if I were Judge.
Of all the cartoons to join, Paw Patrol?
I mean, that's fun, but if we're talking cartoons, man, I'd rather become a baseball
character in a regular show or something.
Man, I miss that show.
Anyway, Judge just hits homers literally every day now.
It's actually insane.
He's 22 away from his own record from two years ago, and any other hitter in baseball
would be questionable as if he can do it again.
Hit 23 homers in the next two months to beat it, but Judge?
It seems so doable.
I'm not going to go as far as to say I'd be shocked if he doesn't get to 63, but I also
wouldn't be surprised if he does.
Judge keeps smashing, same with Soto, and the rest of the lineup just continues to forget
how to play baseball.
Not jazz, you gotta like jazz, but Glaber tours his Yankee career from this point on.
Seems like it's going to last as long as… nevermind, I'm not going to continue that
joke, but the Yankees haven't seemed very keen on Torres being a Yankee long-term after
this year, and it's really because of situations like these where he's settling on singles
because he watched the ball, getting thrown out of home on a play I feel like most guys
get home safe easily, and he's also just, you know, simply been bad.
I mean, the Yankees probably would have been better off starting the game with Torres benched
rather than in the middle of it.
They may be better off giving a shot to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
He did say he'd be the homerun hitting guy if he played baseball.
If you were a baseball player, what position do you think you would play?
I think I would be the one who does the homeruns.
Easy.
I would do a homerun every game.
So watch out, PAW Patrol.
The Orioles have really fallen down to earth for a bit now, almost getting swept by the
Marlins, which is the equivalent to an actual Oriole almost getting eaten by an actual Marlin.
You might as well just chalk it up at that point and call it a career.
Like I don't know how incompetent you have to be as any kind of bird to almost be eaten
by a freaking fish, but now that they're in Cleveland, the human Orioles also seem
to be forgetting how to be competent on a baseball field.
Like doing things as embarrassing as this pickoff attempt by Kyle Leahy.
Their new addition from the deadline, the non-controversial Trevor, did not leave a
good first impression, giving up five runs on six hits, one being a homer, walked three
hitters.
Well good thing the Orioles only gave up a couple good pretty promising players for him,
but it doesn't just stop at the pitching.
Things like this are also happening.
Plays that look like I'm controlling as the Orioles playing MLB The Show.
I didn't realize this was even possible.
Royce Lewis is another guy who could challenge Judge for his homerun abilities just like
Zatan Zyaburkas, but unlike Anshkashvili, Lewis actually plays baseball.
He just can't leave his house without pulling a Peter Griffin.
Dude's more injured than the Allstate commercial guy.
He hits a homerun every game he plays in.
It's not even like he looks like a homerun power hitting machine, but he just lines them
all out like it's nothing.
Every game, basically.
Hopefully he doesn't take a weird step any time soon, put him in an Iron Man suit and
call it a day.
In an incredibly shocking fashion, I'm sorry, I think you're going to need a second to make
sure you're sitting down for this one.
The Chicago White Sox lost.
I know.
The Padres are on the come up, by the way.
The Dodgers recently got bamboozled there.
They were up 5-0 early before the daddies made it interesting and for whatever reason
Blake Trinen turned into batting practice.
Then Clayton Kershaw got roughed up harder than a predator in prison, but unlike that
scenario, this was more rare considering it was the first start in Kershaw's career that
he didn't record a single strikeout.
Not one.
He had a streak of 423 consecutive starts with a strikeout, an MLB record that the Padres
just told to F off.
The Dodgers just don't look great right now.
They need Mookie Fast and for guys to just stay healthy.
It's also pretty obvious they shouldn't treat the division like they have it in the
bag.
Brent Rooker is a monster, by the way.
Too bad he's stuck at the DMV, I mean the A's organization.
Shohei Otani hits a 3 run bomb at the Coliseum as the Dodgers lose to the A's.
Hey, I guess you can take the Shohei out of Anaheim, but you can't take the Anaheim
out of Shohei.
Speaking of Anaheim, another lost year of Mike Trout is now happening.
That sucked.
He's still a pure hall of famer, but my god what a depressing last few years it's
been.
Maybe I'll make a whole video on this.
Let me know if you want that.
In today's edition of Say Something Nice About the Rockies, well this one's pretty
easy.
They won.
And they did so by beating a team that's hot right now in the Padres.
They deserved it.
Those boys went out and played some ball.
Shoutout to them.
The Snakes, just like the Padres, have been dangerous lately, giving the Hollywood people
reasons to sweat.
Not because they found the next Harvey Weinstein, not yet, but just cause the Dodgers are seeing
their division lead shrink and shrink.
The D-Bags led the game off in Pittsburgh with a 5 spot in the first inning that included
back to back to back home runs you could argue was actually back to back to back to
back home runs because before the 3 in a row, Corbin Carroll led the game off with a Little
League homer.
They'd end up winning a close one with Josh Bell being the MVP of the night, or Marte,
one of the two.
I mean the D-Bags have actually been great.
They had a crazy July that included Eugenio Suarez hitting 10 home runs, Jock Peterson
is quietly having a great season, you can tell Marte is an MVP candidate, things are
looking good in Arizona.
And to remind you all, since I know everyone forgot, this team made the World Series last
year.
Don't sleep.
Speaking of sleep, that's definitely not something you do while on crack.
And speaking of crack, who's on crack more, Britney Spears, your average yacht captain,
or baseball?
I'm going to go with baseball with Britney as a close second.
The Astros made the dumbest trade of all time recently, at least seemingly, trading away
three young players, some highly regarded prospects for Yusei Kikuchi who was a rental
with a career ERA north of 4 and a half.
Dana Brown probably was on crack making this trade, but whatever the case may be, baseball
pulled a prank on all of us in Kikuchi's first start, with it starting just how you
would expect it to, by giving up a double and a home run with the literal first two
hitters of the game.
After that, only one more hit, no more runs, 11 strikeouts with 8 of them coming in a row,
some bipolar ass start that is.
The Royals continue to be awesome, Bobby Wood Jr. is legitimately the best hitter in baseball
right now outside of Aaron Judge.
So if Aaron Judge didn't exist, he would be the best.
So if Aaron Judge was dead, Bobby would be the best.
So if Bobby Wood Jr. killed Aaron Judge himself with his bare hands, I think you get the point
by now.
But murder is bad, don't try at home, but try doing what Bobby and the Royals have been
doing, which is hitting and winning.
The 47 year old Salvador Perez continues to have a nice year, having fun per usual.
The Tigers continue to be the most lackluster team ever.
Like honest to god, has that team been relevant once this year, this decade?
Other than all the talks about who they might trade, even the Javi Baez slander isn't
even fun anymore.
Okay, we get it, he swings at every pitch and provides less value to the team than my
little sister, haha.
He was cute the first couple of years, but now it's just an overdone joke, find a new
bit Baez.
The oldest active player in Major League Baseball history was recently traded to the Rangers
and was not good.
Rafael Devers was very happy, going deep in the heart of Texas, haha, am I right?
Also, someone check in on the Rangers announcer.
And he gets the Astros out front early.
Ayo, what the fu-
The Seattle Mariners did what?
Against the Phillies?
The freaking gnome also seems to be projecting, considering he's gotten hit in the face
before with a baseball, and now he's hitting home run balls that hit fans in the face.
Bring a glove, loser.
I'm just kidding, I hope he's okay.
My god, and Bryce Harper, by the way, has all of a sudden started to hit like Tim Tebow.
The Phillies, like the Orioles, have also come a little back down to earth.
Seems like a weird recent trend going on between all the first place teams.
Speaking of the Phillies, the Braves are starting to make things interesting.
Ronald Azunia Jr. is doing the damn thing.
Jorge Soler is back where he belongs doing his thing.
Atlanta's general manager, Double A, may be on to something.
The 2021 vibes may be what brings down Philly after all.
The Angels taunting Jose Iglesias by playing his song, Oh My God, after he grounds out
even though the team is down 5-1 in the 9th inning is the most Angels thing ever.
Blake Snell might win the 2024 Steve Rogers award.
He started off looking like an absolute buffoon, having a delayed spring training, getting
rocked his first few times out, only to then become the best pitcher in baseball again,
kinda like he was last year.
Snell has always been known to not last a while.
No, not in that way, get your mind out of the gutter, you freak.
He's always been known to not last a while in games, baseball games, only going 5 or
6 innings even on his best days, and the first time in Snell's career that he went at least
8 innings, he goes 9 innings and throws a no-hitter before he pulled a trump and survived
an assassination attempt.
It's locked in.
It's cold.
Got him.
Please do.
You don't do it.
They hit me in the head with the dang lid.
Shout out Tyler Fitzgerald too, the Giants rookie who's been hitting home runs like
his life depends on it.
At one point going 5 games in a row with one, he's hit 9 in his last 14 games, Barry Bonds
is a proud man right now.
Hopefully not because Fitzgerald listened to what needle he should use.
Hopefully it's just because he's hitting home runs.
Okay, hope you enjoyed this video, see you soon, bye.
