Hello everyone, I'm Winnie.
I'm Brenda.
Today is the second episode of Life List.
Today we're going to learn about Tim Ferriss.
We actually saw a video on YouTube
from a friend in Mainland China,
called One A-Pen,
a video he shared.
He shared Tim Ferriss' 5-Minute Diary.
Tim Ferriss is a 4-hour workweek author.
In his 5-Minute Diary,
he mentioned that
he asked himself these 5 questions a day,
asking 3 questions in the morning,
and asking 2 questions at the end of the day.
Yes, that can help a lot of people
who don't know what to write in their diaries.
We don't have the habit of writing diaries,
but we can't say that we don't.
We used to write diaries in our videos,
and now we write diaries in our posts.
This is also a form of writing a diary.
That's true.
This 5-Minute Diary,
because it's from morning to night,
we recorded a whole day's journey
to ask ourselves these questions.
The first 3 questions
can be asked after waking up in the morning.
After waking up today,
we went to 7-Eleven to buy a cup of coffee
and came to the park.
Let's ask ourselves the first question.
The first question is,
3 things I'm grateful for.
After waking up today,
what do you feel grateful for?
We were just starting to challenge
the 5am project.
We're currently on the 9.30am project.
Yes.
Did you successfully wake up today?
I woke up on the 9.30am.
You woke up safe and sound.
After waking up,
I found myself with a great blanket.
I slept on a great mattress
with great material.
That's right.
I felt very happy.
After waking up,
someone made us a cup of coffee
that was so good.
And there was such a great environment
to film with us.
I'm grateful.
I'm really grateful.
Look, there are so many geese here.
They're not afraid of water.
Yes.
It's really great here.
The second question is,
3 things I can do today
to make today better.
That is to complete
the things I have planned.
What things?
The first thing I want to do today
is to write a novel.
The second thing is,
I might start to sort out
the video files in our camera.
Then I'll edit the next video.
The third thing is,
I want to practice piano
I think I can go to the library later.
I'll draw over there
and edit a video.
I'm filming a video now.
I'm very happy.
And then,
I can go eat delicious food.
I think I'll have a great day today.
Yes.
The third question is,
self-affirmation.
List three things
about me.
Before we start today,
get to know yourself first.
The first one should be
a curious person.
This is self-affirmation.
Curiosity makes my life
become very interesting.
I'm not saying that my life
becomes very fancy.
It makes my inner world
become very rich and interesting.
I'll see what everyone is doing.
I might not be able to do it.
But I think it's fun.
I'm thinking about what kind of person I am.
How about we talk about ourselves first
and then talk about each other.
Oh, that's good.
Okay.
The second thing is,
I'm a person who is
quick-witted and
doesn't fall into the frame.
I just change it into what I want.
Although I might want to become
a person who knows more
or a person who is more understanding.
But at this stage,
we are still on the path of learning.
Being able to do
what I can do,
I think it's enough.
I think I'm a person
who has a clear mind.
Are you sure?
I'm a person who doesn't have
too many thoughts.
I'm a calm person.
And I think I like this kind of person.
I said I have a clear mind.
I'm not saying that I'm very smart.
I'm just saying that
now that I've got rid of some
impurities,
my mind becomes very clear.
It's like the space in the house is very clear.
It's that kind of feeling.
This is also what I've always wanted.
What kind of person do I want to be?
I want to be a person
who doesn't have anything in his mind.
Just don't get affected too easily.
Yes, and don't think too much.
Okay.
These are the top three questions
in Tim Ferriss' 5-Minute Diary.
We've just finished answering them.
Next, we'll start
living today's life.
And when it's time to go to bed,
we'll share
the last two questions with you.
We've just finished filming four videos.
We're going to the library now.
See you later.
Okay.
Let's go to the library.
After filming the video,
let's live a better life today.
We're going to sleep soon.
Before we go to bed,
we'll answer
the last two questions
The fourth question is
The first thing we did was
filming four videos in the park.
That's great.
And we also saw a person
pushing a three-dog toy car.
It's super cute.
Super cute.
It's very therapeutic.
And then we started drawing and writing
in the library.
We've been writing all day.
I'm so happy.
And then we went to eat
super delicious salad.
That's right.
Everything was amazing.
And then we bought
Seven's coffee.
It's delicious.
We went to buy
Yong Lin's pastry today.
It's delicious.
And it's open until 10 p.m.
That's right.
When you want to eat,
you can buy it at any time.
That's right.
I'm so grateful.
And now there's a quilt.
The quilt is awesome.
Amazing.
Let's see what the fifth question is.
Okay.
What else can I do to make today better?
In other words,
do you have any regrets today?
Or what do you think
can be better?
I think it's okay.
It's pretty good today.
Yeah, it's actually pretty good.
Let's keep it that way.
Keep breathing.
You still have to observe and breathe at any time and place.
Pull yourself back to the moment.
I think it's great to be able to edit videos.
And then there's a job I can do.
It's really a blessing to be able to create.
That's right.
That's great.
Thank you.
Okay, so that's five questions in total.
Let's review them again.
The first one is
three things I'm grateful for.
The second one is
three things I can do today
to make today better.
The third one is self-confirmation.
What kind of person am I?
List three things.
The fourth one is
three amazing things that happened today.
The last one is
what else can I do today
to make today better?
Just spend five minutes every day
asking yourself these questions.
I think the biggest feeling
these five questions give me
is that it will make people
more grateful for this whole day.
Yeah.
I think the first, third, and fourth questions
are to keep yourself in a positive state.
The second question is
to focus on what you have to do today.
The fifth question is
to review
if there's anything you can adjust or improve today.
Maybe you can do better tomorrow.
Because sometimes what you want to do
and what you actually do are a little different.
So if you keep checking
and adjusting and improving,
you will be more and more suitable
for the goals you set every day.
That's it for this episode of
The 1000 Days of Life.
See you in the next episode.
Bye-bye.
Good night.
