#AntiqueClock With its history dating back to the 1600s, the minute repeater is arguably watchmaking's most romantic complication. And today no maker produces more storied and special minute repeaters than Patek Philippe. Recently we had the amazing opportunity to go hands-on with nine, yes NINE, modern Patek Philippe minute repeaters side-by-side in a sound proof chamber - and of course we had to film and record everything for you.
Patek Philippe started in 1839 and the first minute repeater was made in 1845.
We have here nine minute repeaters, which is the complete collection of our products.
Nine minute repeaters at the same place, in the same time, which is quite amazing for Patek.
And I believe that it never happened before.
This reference here is a 5539, this is a tourbillon in white gold.
The reference 7000, the first minute repeater made for ladies.
The sound is a little bit different than the men's minute repeater.
The sound is more elegant and I would say pristine.
This reference here is the 5104.
It's the same self-winding movement that you have in the ladies' minute repeater,
but you have a perpetual calendar with it.
This watch is a 5207 rose gold with tourbillon.
And here we have the reference 5213 in white gold with a perpetual calendar retrograde.
And here we have a reference 5078 made of platinum with a black dial and Roman number.
This is a reference 5074P, it's in platinum.
It's a perpetual calendar, automatic movement.
This is reference 5307, it's a platinum dial as well.
This has 40 baguette diamonds around the bezel.
It has an instantaneous perpetual calendar with tourbillon escapement.
This is reference 5216, it has a retrograde perpetual calendar and also has a tourbillon escapement.
