Hi, I'm Vanessa and welcome to Community Natural Foods.
Today we are going to be making a coconut yogurt using a probiotic from Genuine Health
to use as a culture.
So what you're going to do is you're going to take your high fat.
This one is 20% coconut cream.
You're going to put it in the fridge overnight so that it hardens.
And you're going to scoop.
Oh my gosh, this is so hard.
You're going to scoop the cream out.
Alright, once their coconut fat has kind of softened up, you are going to take a tablet
of the probiotic from Genuine Health.
You're going to open it up.
It's an easy thing to do.
You're going to pour it in.
And you're going to need four of these in there.
If you just pull up using your nails, the top part just pops off.
Once you have the probiotic in there, you're going to stir it together.
And then you're going to leave this somewhere warm so you can leave it on top of your fridge
or in an oven.
Just make sure you don't cook in your oven while this is in there, obviously.
And leave it covered for at least 12 hours and it will start to kind of thicken up and
have kind of a tangy taste to it.
So let that rest and culture overnight and we will be back with a nice looking yogurt
for you.
Alright, so when your yogurt is finished, it's going to thicken up.
You can kind of see how it's moving here.
It will be gelatinous.
If it starts smelling really off or changes color, throw it out.
It's not good.
Do not eat it.
At this point that the fermentation has happened, then you can start adding in flavors.
So if you want to add some vanilla extract or some maple syrup to sweeten it or any kind
of fruit, that's what you can do there.
You're going to stir it up.
Give it a little whisk up.
So you're going to whisk it up.
You're going to add your flavoring.
And you can keep it in an airtight mason jar in your fridge for up to seven days and enjoy
it with some granola, some fresh fruits, add it to a smoothie or whatever it is that you'd
like to do with it.
And that's how you make your own coconut yogurt using the Genuine Health probiotics.
So I hope you enjoyed the recipe.

Thank you.
