hey dri armer J here from dri armer
j.com I don't know about you but I'm
tired of cheap let's say it crappy gas
cans that don't work really well when
you're fueling uh they don't vent well
uh they glug glug glug uh they're
inconvenient where their handle
placement is and all that I found a
great solution in Shure can stay tuned
I'm going to tell you about these great
fueling
[Music]
systems hey dirt farmer J from dirt
farmer J
I love it when we find a product that
really solves an issue um not too long
ago I was at a fueling station a gas
station and I noticed a young man in the
next Bay over filling up several of
these fuel cans he and his family were
heading on out for a weekend of camping
and he was filling up all the fuel cans
and I looked at one of these cans I said
what is that that looks really cool he
said something to the effect of this is
a sh can which that is absolutely what
the name of it is it's the best gas can
I've ever used it's very durable it's a
lifetime type of purchase and it solves
all the big problems that sometimes gas
cans have I love it well that was enough
for me to keep looking for just be aware
of them then not too long ago I'm going
to tell you a little story just stay
with me for a moment before we get to
the review CU I think this is important
for us to know as consumers a scam site
targeted this company shuran Sheran is a
us-based company they've developed an
incredible concept and you'll agree with
me after I show you all the things
they've done in these fuel cans but this
scam site was posting all over social
media at too good to believe there you
go because they're not true prices and
they have essentially lifted all of
Shan's digital app assets including
demonstrations at try shows uh this
company has actually been featured on
Shark Tank uh and so forth they just
lifted it off wholesale did another site
and then get people to go to that site
where they take their money all day long
but either don't deliver anything at all
or send some cheap knockoff or some
substitute um the name of the company do
not give these people one cent of
business they've ripped off
everybody else's hard work but the name
of the website is Bor asses.com
[Laughter]
you serious now how in the world did
they come up with that name but that's
literally what it is b a
[Music]
as or Bor asses.com uh and you'll see
the logos for Shir can and all that and
them trying to get your money so guys as
consumers when when something is too
cheap it's because it's not real and we
need to take it seriously when a company
and there are all sorts of in the United
States have taken the time uh and all
the prototyping to develop a great brand
to gra develop a great product to uh get
this out on the market and then just
someone steps in wholesale and I'm also
going to call out Facebook on this
because Facebook runs these ads all day
long and sure can and I've talked to
their management team LOD several
complaints all to no avail I wrote
personally to um complaints in nothing
happened it seems like about now there's
some things that are starting to happen
where it's redirecting back but this is
too little too late we need to honor
honest entrepreneurs give them their due
respect and get these scammers off as
quickly as we can soap box put away
let's look at a great product these
these products are made entirely in the
United States um the headquarters of
this company is in a great the great
state of Utah and these are all
manufactured in Tennessee all of
American Parts um so these are heavy
duty cans now this can over here is also
made in the US by Blitz uh it's more of
an economy can and I've had to put an
aftermarket snout or spout on it and a
little venting on it to get this to work
correctly
uh and it works okay uh but this can is
vastly superior number one much thicker
Mill plastic on it number two it's self
venting so while as this can or others
like it if I had uh the cap closed on it
and it gets warm just from ambient
temperature or let's suppose I've got it
in an area where I'm fueling out in the
field and this the sunlight hits it
you've all had it happen the can
balloons out from pressure inside for
vapor pressure these cans self vent and
stop that from having vent off that gas
vapor to keep the system safe the other
thing that is really important about
these cans is they have fire suppression
in them so let's suppose uh somehow you
are dispensing fuel through the spout a
spark occurs a flame occurs there's
systems built into this to stop the
flame from coming back up into the can
for a massive fire and to keep you as
the user safe I think that's a really
good way to do it the other thing that
is really good about this is anti-splash
back so when you see right here when you
go to dispense gas into this at the
service station you have a cap that is
really strong that is opened up and if
you look close inside you'll see that
there is a diaphragm so to speak that
something like uh in a waste a food
waste disposer where you have like a
baffle there that's where the port of
the gas dispenser nozzle goes in to fill
this up and it stops splashback and
keeps it very very clean there's another
great thing that I really like about
this product and that is to turn on and
off and to eliminate there is no glug
glug glug glug that occurs here because
when you pull down this trigger on the
top and there's actually like a little
throttle so you can kind of set it at a
a high flow or choke it way back the gas
is dispensed down here or they actually
have these for kerosene and they also
have them for diesel and they also have
label sets that can be applied here so
let's suppose that using ethanol free
gas or something like that for your
outdoor power equipment you can label
the fuel can exactly the way you want it
now the way this is dispensed is you're
simply going to take this pop it down
and now notice what's happening here
it's in center of gravity with me
holding on to the can right here and we
have gasoline in about that much in this
particular can but now if I squeeze that
it's going to come out down here so
we'll just show you a sample real quick
when you do receive your fuel can it is
uh tied with the throttle so to speak or
the dispenser uh cable tied down and
right on there is a a placard that says
please remove zip top
uh before filling so this says it holds
the valve open right now but for
shipping purposes they don't want that
hanging out there open so to secure it
it's cable tied down here ready to go
you're going to clip that cable tie as
we have on the 2 and 1/2 gallon this is
the 5 gallon so we have the 2 and 1/2
gallon unit now as I said there's
gasoline in it notice I'm not opening
any kind of vent anywhere it's an
all-in-one right here so what I'm going
to do is I'm going to take this swivel
it down take off the cap on the end and
I'm just going to use this shop
measuring cup here to show you gas being
dispensed okay I'm going to squeeze this
down you're going to take the little
throttle control if you want to call it
that pull it back uh and when you do
we're going to start pressing down boy
you can see I can and I can lower the
flow way down like that or I can open it
up wide and look at no glug glug glug
whatsoever now when it's done it's
draining off the remaining fuel to make
sure you empty this out you're simply
going to tip the can this way to get any
remaining gas out of the valve body
right here or the swivel body okay and
now that we've done that we're going to
go ahead and put this back
[Music]
on put it back and the fuel can is ready
to go until the next time
now we've had a couple people mention on
some of the forums I went up and did a
lot of reviews on these cans before I
talked to our friends there at Shan and
uh somebody wrote and said I'm really
concerned about the seals in this with
this thing uh lets loose here and you've
got this in a let's say garden shed or
an equipment shed and you get a pool of
gasoline and the vapors ignite bye-bye
equipment shed and a lot of expensive
equipment ain't going to happen and here
let me tell you why there's a double
seal system in here using viton you can
look it up it's an
industrial um sealant material that
these gaskets are put in there there's a
pair of them here um that are used in
all the fuel systems in automobiles
trucks uh all of those areas this is a
tested material that they've put in here
this can has passed all the
certifications for OSHA for the min
um industry as well you can go up to
their website at Shan
usa.com and take a look at what's
available now these cans are not cheap
nor should they be these are great
lifetime cans very durable great um
features you're going to expect to pay
something like uh at the time of filming
these were about $45 to $49 for2 and2
it's $59 for this uh available both uh
in gas like it is right here uh diesel
or kerosene and in another episode uh
you can watch for and when we produce it
I'll put it in the links Down Below in
the description they've also introduced
a great water can system with a
convenient spet on the end that's great
for camping so you can do some quick
wash up or wash up in the face or for
culinary water for helping cook and all
that great campside assess
these guys have really figured it out
and I'm glad after I saw the scam site
was able to get in contact with him and
say we'd like to help you do battle back
with that they were very kind to send
these on to us and said you say what you
really think and I have a good fuel can
and a quality set of jumper cables
should be in every vehicle but
connecting up those cables is another
matter check out this video where we
show you the right and safe way to do
that job and while you're at it check
out this other video that YouTube has
chosen from our catalog that they think
you're going to love and we think you're
going to like it too until the next time
