Prince Edward Island is the smallest but most charming province in whole of Canada. A small island in the Maritimes region located on the East Coast of Canada known for its beaches, campgrounds, seafood and of course potatoes!

So we drove with the family from Halifax to Twin Shores Camping Area where Tracey's parents parked their trailer for the week. We put our tent on the ground and headed straight the the beach to enjoy some quality time with the nieces and nephews.
But PEI has so much more to offer then just the campground and because I am personally a kid as well, I was so happy to go to Sandspit Amusement Park in Cavendish Beach. We all had a lot of fun riding the go-karts, roller coaster, bumper cars and more. We highly suggest you stay until the sun goes down so you can see all the light come on.
Charlottetown, the capital of Prince Edward Island is also worth visiting when traveling to the province. This is your typical small Canadian town filled with charm, restaurant and small boutiques. Don't forget to have some ice cream at Cow's Ice Cream which is to some people the best ice cream in the world.
Finally, for our last night in P.E.I. the entire family to the beach in Twin Shores campground for a fantastic sunset and seafood dinner. We got some lobster and muscles, cooked them right in ocean water and on the beach before all sitting down together and watching the sunset.

So we just made it to Prince Edward Island,
the smallest but most charming province in Canada,
also known as the potato province.
So not is it just known for potatoes,
but it's known for their beaches and camping as well.
So camping is what I grew up doing.
So I love it.
So every year family comes over, but we're not just camping.
We're going to go into Charlottetown.
We're potentially going to go to an amusement park.
Yeah, it's going to be a fun time with the fam jam
for the next few days.
And you're invited.
On the golf cart.
Annalise, are you even allowed to drive?
Yeah, she's 16.
So we actually just arrived.
We haven't set anything up.
But everyone's at the beach, and I want to go to the beach.
So we're going to the beach.
The funny part about beaches in Canada
is that most people go to the beach,
but they don't actually go in the water,
because the water is freezing almost year round.
We'll see if we're brave enough today.
Hello.
How's the beach?
Good.
Good?
Want to take these?
Water check.
Tracy already made a weird face.
Oh, it is freezing.
Remember that time in Portugal?
That's insane.
How?
Oh, man.
So while I was digging a hole with the kids,
because I'm also a kid, Tracy went up and made some sandwiches.
You have the whole wheat.
I have this part.
That's nice.
I don't got the whole.
I know.
It'll have to be on that chip.
Good sandwich.
Thanks.
There's an old, old gentleman walking around
with a metal detector.
And I was talking to him.
I was like, what is the craziest thing you've ever found?
Like, the most valuable is left.
He's like, I keep finding Eiffel.
I was like, that's pretty good.
Yeah.
So we're all nice and showered from the beach.
So I figured it would be a good time
to show you around our campsite.
We are actually at Twin Shores here in PEI.
So we have my parents' flamping trailer,
is what I'm going to call it.
Because they have air conditioning inside, even.
And then we have our picnic table.
We have all the nieces and nephews here.
And there will be another tent here shortly.
We just don't have it up yet.
But it's coming.
This is where we're going to be sleeping, right there.
So tonight, for supper, the family
is roughing it with some beautiful steak, potatoes,
salad, onions, all the good stuff.
Camping!
How's your camping steak?
Really good.
Those are really good steaks, Al.
Oh, look at you.
It's not that bad after all, isn't it?
That has been three weeks in the making,
trying to convince Joel to eat a little piece of onion.
He did it.
And it wasn't too bad.
Good morning.
Slept pretty good for camping.
So just finished breakfast.
We are going to pretty much do the same things as yesterday.
We're just going to ride around on our bikes, go to the beach.
So instead of showing you a repeat,
we're going to pick you back up for this evening,
where we're going to do something a little different.
Are you sometimes dissatisfied with your bicycle?
Well, this is why I changed mine for the Highboy EX6,
the only electric bike you'll ever need.
This e-bike can go up to 40 kilometers an hour!
With 120 kilometer range, and only takes seven to eight hours
to charge.
It's my turn to try it, mister.
Not yet.
So you can either use a full throttle or pedal assist
to make it go.
And what makes it great is they even have fat tires on it
for any terrain.
Bye!
Wait, that way or that way?
I don't know.
We lost Tracy.
She's too fast.
Tracy!
So if you ever wanted to purchase an e-bike,
we cannot suggest this one enough.
It is the Highboy EX6 step through, and lucky for you,
today we have a little discount code for you.
So we're going to put their link in the description.
Don't forget to use DMEX6 at checkout for your discount.
And otherwise, a big thank you to Highboy
for sponsoring this video.
And don't worry, you'll see more of this little baby
in the rest of the video as well.
Welcome to the Cavendish Boardwalk.
It's like a bunch of restaurants and shops.
Apparently, it is the best place to get some shark crocs,
which everyone wants right now.
I'm probably not going to get a pair.
And you can also get cow's ice cream,
which is the best ice cream in Prince Edward Island.
In the Maritimes.
Fair enough.
I'm not sharing.
This is a very good ice cream.
How is it?
Ice cream review?
I mean, unbelievable.
That's it.
Ice cream review.
Really good.
That's it?
Best ice cream in the world.
There we go.
Correction, cow's ice cream is not only the best ice cream
in the Maritime provinces of Canada.
Apparently, it's the best ice cream in the world.
It's on the sign.
If it's on the sign, it's true.
So I would say whenever you're in the Maritimes,
specifically PEI, cow's is a must.
Wow, I didn't realize it was right here.
We just left the boardwalk and we're heading to the next spot,
which is Sand Spits Amusement Park.
Is that right, Nancy?
So as you guys know, I'm a big fan of theme park.
This is a really, really tiny local theme park.
But you know what?
It's going to be fun.
Tris, have you been here before?
No, I have not.
Driven by, I've been to Sand Spits.
First time.
You girls are so brave.
Thank you.
Such a thrill ride.
Yeah.
Such a thrill.
You love going at some place.
That was a bit of a rough track.
But you know what?
You got to give her in the corner and around every angle
and do what you got to do.
And, uh, and, uh...
Say something, Tracy.
Okay, Annalise, you're back up.
That's right.
What?
What are we doing?
Going on Ferris wheel.
There you go.
You're very good at vlogging.
It's a fam jam Ferris wheel this time.
Everyone who has tickets is going.
Ready to go up?
Going.
And then down?
And then up again?
And then down?
And probably up again?
Yeah, probably.
And then down?
Yeah.
Woohoo!
Scary.
Woohoo!
I'm still stuck in it.
I'm stuck.
Oh, and we're staying here all night, I guess.
That was not that bad.
That did not scare me at all.
Time to go on a cyclone with this guy.
Yeah.
With this guy.
Oh, my goodness.
Hands up.
Oh, yeah.
Are we doing this?
Tracy, what's up with you?
It's your turn now.
I'm a videographer.
Oh, yeah, okay.
Yeah.
Taking a little break for some pizza down the road.
Now, we're going to go do one ride that the entire family
has been waiting for.
The water bumper boat.
Yes, you can.
Run, hurry up.
You're going to miss the boat.
When we were at the table, my nephew ran to me,
he's like, David, David, can I do it with you?
And then as soon as mommy arrived,
I don't know what he's doing with mommy now.
Have fun.
I'll find another kid.
Got her anyway.
I'm literally drenched.
Refreshing.
That was pretty cool.
Yeah, that's painful.
Yeah.
Did you get bounced?
My favorite is the bumper boat.
Yeah.
That was pretty bumpy.
Extra bumpy.
You're going to show us how it's done?
Yeah.
Don't watch.
Just cut this out of the video if I miss.
Come on, now.
So close.
I'm going to win you something.
Yeah.
To say the least, we are exhausted.
That was quite a busy day and hot.
It was super hot.
It was only supposed to be in the 20s,
but with the humidex and stuff,
it was like 35.
And we've done stuff all day.
Yeah.
I'm tired.
I enjoyed the ice cream and the roller coaster.
You?
I enjoyed the ice cream and the Ferris wheel.
It was a good time.
And tomorrow, it starts all over again.
Good night.
Good morning.
Slept pretty well.
The sun is already shining.
I think it's going to be another beautiful day
here in PDI.
So David has gone for a run on the beach
and I'm going to get myself ready
and I think we're going to go into Charlottetown.
So that's like the main city here in PDI.
I think we're going to go in there for a couple hours,
see what we can get up to.
I honestly don't know what to expect.
We've been there once,
but I don't really remember it.
So right now, we are on our way to Charlottetown,
which, fun fact, is the capital of Prince Edward Island.
And another fun fact,
there's only two cities in Prince Edward Island,
which is Charlottetown, the capital,
and then...
Somerset.
Somerset, which is not the capital.
But probably the name you know the most from PDI is Cavendish,
which there's like a big old country music festival here.
So it's not considered a city there, but a town.
Another fun fact, because I'm on a roll,
the province of PDI actually has 231 islands
with the main island where we are,
with most of everything and everyone that is on is here.
I don't think...
Is there anyone living on the other islands?
I don't know, actually.
Probably.
Maybe we'll visit one day.
Who knows?
But now, we are kind of in the downtown area.
We're going to find some food.
We're going to go to the boardwalk and see what's up with PDI.
We haven't been here for a while.
Tracy got distracted by a little tourist trap,
but now we are looking for a place to eat.
So we just made it to the Charlottetown waterfront.
I would call it like that.
There are a ton of fish jumping right there.
Oh, yeah.
And basically, it's similar to what we have back home in Halifax,
like a bunch of little restaurants and little shops.
So we're going to find a bite here.
Tracy would really like another cow's ice cream for dessert.
It's so good.
We'll see about that.
But it's a very, very cute area.
It's not super big, but it's worth visiting.
So there's a couple of restaurants down here on a little floating dock.
It's super cute.
So I think we're going to find something to eat down here.
Can I get one of the mozzarella?
Cheers?
Cheers.
I am so intrigued on this.
It's a strawberry shortcake sour.
I just have a normal Pizzler, but they're both from a local brewery.
Is it nice?
Very nice.
Otherwise, we ordered some pizzas, which is not necessarily the thing you should do.
You literally need to come here for seafood like mussels.
They produce like over 80% of mussels in all of Canada here.
So like definitely go for that.
And the lobster is also delicious.
I highly recommend a lobster roll.
The only thing is tonight we're doing a fan party with lobster and mussels.
So I just didn't want to eat that twice.
So I'm sure you've already said that, but I think we should link our old P.E.I. video down below.
Oh, I actually didn't.
Fun fact.
The first ever travel vlog that we've done away from our hometown was actually here in P.E.I.
In this exact spot.
Right here, sitting in these two chairs, eating a lobster roll.
We will pull that recommendation on from the lobster roll.
The best lobster roll that we found on our research.
This was back about six years ago.
It's actually right there in the corner.
The Chip Shack.
The first one we come onto this floating dock, and it is loaded with lobster.
Did you see Baby David and Tracy from four years ago?
Check it out.
That looks pretty good.
I mean, it's not seafood.
So we're back where we said that we wouldn't come back.
Two cups.
Tracy didn't finish her pizza just to eat an ice cream afterwards.
The cow is good secured.
Oh no, it's dripping.
Already.
Oh, it is good.
But not as much caramel as what you ate on yours last time.
Very good.
Time for another fun fact about PEI.
No matter where you are on the island, because of its shape and how it's fairly small,
you are never more than 15 minutes from a beach.
I think that's pretty cool.
So all the public parking pretty much in Charlottetown has meters, obviously.
Nothing is free in this world anymore.
So we didn't have any change, and we cannot download the app because we don't have a Canadian phone number.
So we just parked and hoped for the best.
Is there a ticket?
Free parking.
I always love when that happens.
So time for us to leave Charlotte after a very successful afternoon date for Tracy and I.
Now we're going to go back to the camp and get ready for a sunset slash feast slash on the beach kind of evening,
which is going to be super cool.
But yeah, if you like small town vibes with a lot of little patios and restaurants and also a lot of history,
because believe it or not, back in 1864, this is where the Canadian Confederation was signed.
So we became Canada right here in PEI.
Yeah, this is definitely like a city that you would enjoy.
So we're going to see you guys back at the camp.
I know we say this a lot, but don't forget to eat cow's ice cream when you come to PEI
or even just the Maritimes in general.
And we are back at the camp getting ready to move this party to the beach for the perfect evening here in PEI.
Okay, Tracy, to the beach.
We just arrived to the beach.
The entire fam jam is here.
And like, look at this.
They got this entire beach just for us.
It's worth the effort.
So I do have to say coming down here, we knew it was going to be a really good ambiance,
but it's definitely better than I expected down here.
And it didn't take too many trips to get everything down or two trips, multiple people, obviously.
Two and a half.
Yeah, but it's perfect.
Like we're riding the bike along the beach.
We're going to watch the sunset here.
It's super relaxing.
And it gives us those like back to nature memories that we have in Kenya and just reminiscing.
So like we said earlier, we are having a seafood feast on the beach here with the fam jam.
We're going to do mussels and lobster, both cooking in actual ocean water, which adds a little bit of saltiness, you know.
So now for dessert, we have the famous...
They're not Canadian, right?
So you roast them over the campfire.
And then standard would be just between two graham crackers.
But we use celebration cookies that have chocolate already on them.
And put your toasted marshmallows through that.
Okay, so now you take the roasted marshmallow perfectly.
Put it between.
I'm definitely burning from this fire right now.
I can do it.
I don't know.
I don't think I ever do.
Perfection.
You're never going to catch me because I'm too fast.
It's really weird, but the sand here in PEI, when you rub your feet on it, they call it like the singing sand or something like that.
And it kind of squeaks.
I couldn't explain to you why.
Probably the mineral or something like that.
But it's really weird.
We are heading back to camp.
We had a fantastic supper.
It was so nice.
And a beautiful sunset.
I know.
After all, because it did kind of cloud over.
But like, it did really well.
And it's something we need to do more in Canada, beaches.
Like, we're all kind of around area with beaches.
So, yeah.
Beautiful evening with fam jam.
Now, let's head back to camp.
Good morning.
So this morning, we've always had camp breakfast every morning, obviously.
But we are having everyone together for breakfast because this is when we're leaving.
We leave tomorrow.
We leave Canada.
We leave fam jam.
No, we don't leave Canada.
We just leave Nova Scotia.
So, yeah.
One last family breakfast.
Well, it was a good time in PEI.
It was.
So, we're all packed up, ready to hit the road.
But this is the last time we'll see my family.
It's not that long, really.
It's until Christmas.
But, yeah.
So, after this, we're heading to Montreal tomorrow.
Yeah.
In a very special way.
Make sure to subscribe to see the next video.
And after seeing my family, we're actually heading on the road and doing this thing full-time.
Are you nervous yet?
Yes, I'm terrified.
This is terrifying, guys.
Like, I still feel in my head that I have to go to work next week.
But I don't.
This is it.
This is my work.
Holding this camera and being with you.
That's a full-time job, boys.
Anyway, it's time for us to hit the road.
And until next time.
Until next time.
And see you guys.
In the next one.
