Rafael Nadal v Daniil Medvedev Extended Highlights (Final) | Australian Open 2022

The Russian play, honestly, it started with the Russians. You take this short ball through the middle of the court and you drive it through the middle. Rafa stayed home a little bit, just enough. And the athleticism. Brad, I know it's spectacular, but the question I have is this type of stuff from Rafa, sustainable. He looked to the edge of the court then with a worried look on his face. Rafa didn't feel like a tennis player at that stage. He's everywhere, the Russian. And you don't have to aim quite as high off the racket face with that. That time he had to open up face more and didn't. This has been clinical, really. Relentless from the Russian. 6-2 opening set in this year's Australian Open men's final. The decisive point. Terrific. I haven't seen Hugo Gaston play. I mean, he hits a few of those as well. He only played 60 of them against. He needs to find some first serves to make his life a little easier. Trying to create offense, trying to create offense on that forehand. And he had Rafa on the run. Just counters with back down the line. It's the miracle in Malva.
