DEPORTIVO ALAVÉS 2 - 1 SEVILLA FC | RESUMEN LALIGA EA SPORTS | J6 | 2024/2025

Starts today on the bench for Luis García Plaza. Strong start at home here with another three points on the board against Sevilla as both managers greet each other there. Big night for that man as well, Toni Martínez who makes his first start in a great season last year in the second tier. Has the first. Clear chance. Points for that ball. He comes for his third appearance now for the Andalusian outfit season. Pedro Romero with En-Nesyri. Another on the pitch now as Carlos Vicente goes for goal. It's a poor attempted save from Nerland and it leads to the opener. Alaves with their first chance of the evening take the lead on home soil. One goal here tonight as Toni Martínez does well to win the ball. Obviously it fell kindly for him, he hits it first time. He fails to hit that. Over the top again, it's a chance for Carlos Vicente to run behind the defensive line. Flag stays down. It's now Toni Martínez playing it first time across. Stoichkov got the touch. Nerland seemingly kept it off the line. Tonight. As Peke's cross comes in from the left. Iheanacho almost got there. Looking back here, plays it back for Saúl. But his shot is easily saved by Sivera. As the ball now comes across. Off the crossbar. And it's almost deflected into the back of the net. Carlos Martín. Doubles Alaves' lead now with half an hour left to play. It's almost a carbon copy from the first half. Alaves in the first period out of nowhere. Find a team mate properly. Jordan tries to clear for Stoichkov. Who's going to fight this one out with Pedrosa. Stoichkov beats him to the ball. And it's a big save there. Big save from Nerlander. Stoichkov wants his foot. Alaves have just been fairly comfortable. They haven't created wave after wave of chances. But the two goals they've had. They've almost scored out of nothing. Here though is Dodi Lukaku. Back yard. And that's an incredible goal. Lovely finish. And maybe, just maybe this is not game over. Seven minutes left on the clock. Three brings this game to a close. Deportivo Alaves hang on. But it's fair to say. They were never really up against it. Two goals. One in each half. Almost coming out of nowhere on both occasions. But Sevilla despite all the possessions.
