Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground: A Family-Friendly On Lake Huron | Our Experience

after 4 and 1/2 hour drive we finally made it to macano Mill Creek Campground finally got everything set up after getting lost in the campground we decided to go eat at the subway for supper Mao City downtown seemed a lock like Gatlinburg on holiday a heart spe to the city streets we begin to feel the [Music] fire We rise like tall buildings as the chemicals it take us higher the night's young it it's just beg that she puts a hand in M we [Music] want Mac Ando Creek Campground has 600 campsites 200 of them are full hookups we were on site 539 so we were way back at the back which was pretty hard to find we had to get help getting back there the campground has one mile of Shoreline there's 200 full hookup sites plus cabins tents they've got three playgrounds a nice dog area a basketball court heated pool a swimming beach miniature golf bike rentals and it's sitting on Lake hon you guys got the fun job huh fun job for hour yeah we have another check in further down some down there yeah there's a lady stand another chicken that we have okay so you want me to drive straight ahead get to the all right this preo pass me about 20 miles back here at the campground they made us go back to the second check-in spot because the first one was so busy when we got to the second one the lady made one of us stay in the vehicle and the other one could get out and check us in when she gave us directions she gave us Mirror Image directions got us totally lost so then they had to send an escort to get us back to our site our road getting here was wonderful but get another Camp CR it's like uh crazy I don't know I've never been anywhere like they had two check-in locations and the first one was full so they were routing you to a lady that would send you to another lady that would give you directions on how to get here but they were Mirror Image directions so once they saw us go past the uh checkin office twice they came out and said you look like you're lost and and indeed we were I had already made couple of 180 degree hair pin turns barely back up barely escaping tearing the car and the camper up once they got us to our shite which was in section q and there's no way to get the section Q from where we were 539 is our s yeah it's nice and large but there's nothing wrong with it after you get there but getting here was was was horrible they give terrible directions and their map is nowhere close to scale and it doesn't show the sides it just shows the sections it's up to you to know where your side is in your section and the campground sits on Lake Heron and it took us forever to find it so we finally found it Lake Kiron being behind us and you can see the uh Mao Bridge off in the distance over there the SES here are very large and spacious in this area but they're not very large and spacious in the other area that we got lost in trying to get here map details are not very to scale and they seem to be random when they tell you to look for Q it may be closer to a than it is to R you have no idea you're just looking for a q wherever it happens to be but the SS once you do get here are huge and they have some privacy if you see the uh foliage there there's a utility building right in the back of ours but it's got a fire ring and a picnic table and then right across the road you can't see it through the brush there but there is a totem pole that if you follow the trail by the totem pole you will find the camp store we've kind of given the campground a a bad rating on the navigating inside the campground but really once we got to our site and figured our way around we we really did like this Campground uh the store itself was fully stocked is almost equivalent to a Walmart they everything from Ice Cream kids toys sandwiches Pizza um there outside the store was a bike rental place there's a putt putt golf place miniature golf and the swimming pool was right outside there so they had a lot of things to offer and the store was well stocked with everything from RV hoses and light bulbs and that kind of stuff all the way to potato chips and candy bars and souvenirs and refrigerator magnets so all in all we did really enjoy this Campground it was wonderful once we got to our sight I really wish they would have have offered the uh escort to our site first [Music] thing we lay aake [Music]
