$140 Whole LOBSTER & KING CRAB Luxurious Buffet In LA

All right, what's up DVW fam you guys see that mountain of seafood behind me we got a very special episode today We're in Los Angeles right now at the cafe Sierra in the Hilton Hotel right across from Universal Studios This is one of the most luxurious buffets here. They have all-you-can-eat king crab legs Oysters and lobsters. I know you guys love your seafood So let's take a look around the buffet and see all the items they have here. Let's go Guys look at all these seafood options right here so many great things to see and you know How we like to do on Danvers the world. We're gonna show you every item from start to finish So let's take a little tour of the cafe Sierra buffet. All right to start off We got a mountain of oysters right here. Look pretty big Got some shrimp cocktail in the back Looks like some crab legs right here some lobster claws Right over there a bunch of snow crab legs, so they do have king crabs here, too But this is Alaskan snow crab right here. So you guys can see the label got some creamy sauce for us right there Look at that nice color Pretty big for snow crabs more lobster claws right here Got some cocktail sauce. So this is where they cut your lobster for you Preparing them fresh right here, baby Right now This is currently the line for the seafood right here Side, I feel like I'm in Disneyland right now waiting for my lobster Thank you, sir Thank you All right, so it's only one crab leg or order king crab legs, so They you come back as many times as you want Are you excited? Yes quantity right here Some crab soup right here Got some more soup looks like some clam chowder some Dungeness snow crab and king crab with garlic butter Got some baked Fresh lobster Thermidor right here. Got some chicken tenders beer batter fried calamari Some ginger crab right here. So some Chinese Seafood options got some Cajun blackened chicken Got some egg rolls. Got some Popsicles or gyozas back there Steam sweet lotus bun. Oh, I love my dim sum. So baked barbecue pork buns Got some sue my car gal. Alright guys, this is what we came here for The crab legs. Look at that. Alright before we get to the meat and potatoes of the buffet. No pun intended Let's switch it up and go to this end for dessert first. So it looks like we got a fresh crepe station right here That's some berries Bananas in the back might have to snack some of that after some ice cream back there All right, so some marshmallows Some type of dessert fresh fruit strawberries. Oh That's some creme brulee back there. I love creme brulee some melon some assorted cakes pastries Got a little chocolate cake over there some more pastries Assorted mini pastries looks like some cannoli some cream puffs White cake right there. It looks like a cheesecake. Oh It looks like some very fancy desserts guys Look at that. Oh Looks like some bread pudding right there. I love bread pudding Looks cool. So some churros with some berries love churros And it's like some more bread pudding. Honestly, we've got some cookies in this case right here. So you can stay nice fresh and moist so You got the carving station right here some prime rib Looks like some beef ribs over there beef ribs. Oh, look at that Oh, so they got some very interesting items at this carving station, there's some roasted duck Roasted pork like char siu pork That's crazy So some roasted Chinese style duck and pork back here to go along with your prime rib Options so we got some creamy horseradish mint jelly And some au jus and this pot stay nice and hot and steaming Nice Awesome. So this is the prime rib the meat right here and they said these beef ribs right here are from the prime rib And there's a leg of lamb right there. Boom All right. We got some grilled filet mignon right here. All you can eat steak filet mignon. That's crazy some bone marrow right there Sashimi grade ahi tuna steak lemon pepper catfish Ribs right here. So some pork ribs with black bean sauce right here some lamb chops So they have a sashimi station so looks like some salmon sashimi Some more sashimi right here assorted sushi Look at that And some tuna sashimi right there and some taco octopus Guys I am a sugar fiend and I probably shouldn't ruin my appetite, but these doughnuts look amazing I love doughnuts. So I might have to snag one of these doughnuts before my meal. It's a more dessert right here Cheesecake pastries That cream puff looks delicious. I can't wait for dessert. Dessert looks pretty good. Pretty good some pineapple Vegetable medley right here. So they got some Short ribs right here Korean barbecue Look at that. We are in LA. So they got LA galbi right here Korean short ribs looks delicious some Indian food some tandoori spiced chicken wings Looks good So right here. There should be a pepperoni pizza, but we got some wood some. Oh, this is crazy That looks like some salmon. So some salmon top Pizza. Oh, that's crazy. We got some mussels in there some shrimp. This is a Creamy looks really creamy seafood pasta right here This is some pad thai. You usually don't see that too often at a buffet some Thai food Some Yukon mashed potatoes I usually always skip salad at a buffet, but this salad looks pretty good strawberry fruit salad baby kale salad It looks like a ahi tuna seared Salmon right there There's some beef carpaccio right there Some sashimi salad looks like salmon and some caesar salad All right what we came here for guys the fresh lobster king crab and seafood right here. All right, so we got the Lobster right here. Look at that Whoo, some chimichurri sauce for us. Love me some chimichurri Okay, so we got a layer with us. It's always interesting to see what she likes to put on her dish So, let's see what you got here I got some prime rib, but the like more more cooked part like the crust part I got some potatoes a filet mignon mignon It's like marinated in something bone marrow and some salad and then I was eyeballing some Korean barbecue Ribs I'm gonna go back for it. Look at our fresh lobster right here bigger. Oh, yeah Look at that The insides of the lobster right here Look at that whole lobster from head to toe We got the Crab claws right here. Mr. Crabs So we couldn't waste space on our plate. They only give you one king crab legs to order So we got two right there one for me one for Leah and we got a bunch of Alaskan snow crab right here Alright guys just sat down at the cafe Sierra and I got my plates of lobster and king crab legs right here So only one per order me and Leah got one each Look at this guys fresh seafood, but it comes at a cost. This is one of the most expensive buffets I've been to definitely a very luxurious buffet. Probably one of the most luxurious buffets I've been to for dinner this Saturday dinner. They only have it once per week. It's 139 per person Hefty and tomorrow for Sunday brunch It's $95 a little bit cheaper, but they don't have king crab legs But they do have lobster thermidor some of you guys are gonna hate me for this got all this delicious looking food But I saw this doughnut I'm a sucker for doughnuts. So I'm gonna start off with this right here Super fluffy Delicious glazed doughnut, but yeah got a warm up the stomach with the appetizer before we go in on the seafood salute All right. I love king crab legs guys So we're gonna start off with this probably on fast-forward this part because I suck at the shelling these guys But they got the crab crackers for us right here. Let's see. Whoo. These are spiny. It kind of hurts my hands All right, I Got it open. All right guys, let's pull it out right here Look at that nice huge fleshy piece of King crab. I like to take my first piece without a butter lemon or anything see how sweet the crab legs are Mmm. Oh, yeah, nice and sweet Delicious huge and fleshy Could be a little bit sweeter. I had some very good king crab claws in my lifetime, but these for all you can eat They're actually king crab legs, so that's all you guys need to know huge and fleshy I'm gonna put some salt pepper lemon or butter on these salute Look at that These are huge they pack a punch for sure. All right, let's try our fresh lobster, right? Oh, look at that. See all those juices squirt out. That's how you know, they're fresh All right getting down and dirty with it Got the whole Lobster right here. They made it nice and easy for us. Let's go in Bunch of head butter in there for you guys that are fans of that Yeah, let's get to my favorite part of a lobster comment down below with your favorite part of lobsters Mine is definitely the tail. Let's try it off Mmm nice juicy moist Fleshy definitely gonna need some butter with this salute. All right, ladies gonna try the bone marrow and tell us what she thinks I think it has bacon in it Wait, how do you eat it again? You kind of just serve it. You can't just scoop like the marrow and kind of like slurp it like a soup. Oh, yeah Soily Kind of fatty like butter. I know it's very like like you're slurping the melted fat of like a beef Before we continue with the seafood Leia brought a mouth-watering plate of meat. So we're gonna try that out So we got the prime rib right here looks nice and medium rare douse it with some Aju, so let's see how it is Extremely tender I melted Probably some of the best prime rib I've had a buffet. Well, that's good So Leia got the rare piece for me and there's also like a well-done piece right here So you get a you get whatever piece you want so Let's get a down-and-dirty with these Korean barbecue ribs Calbee right here la short ribs the one with the three bones. Take a bite On the well-done side really crispy, but there's like a nice sweet glaze here. It's kind of spicy, too Hmm. I like that. There's like a twist to these Korean barbecue short ribs like it's not the regular just sweet glaze a little spice to it. Mm-hmm There's a lot of options. Definitely gonna get more but off to a great start That clean the bones I thought these were chicken tenders when Leia brought them but it's actually calamari, let's try this It is chicken Hmm so these are chicken tenders You would go to a buffet and get chicken tenders Raising cane style just kidding. They're really crunchy though. And the meat inside is not dry. Good. I saw that too It was next to calamari Guys it's like sensory overload here I'm getting a DD walking around the buffet because I went up to get some melted butter for my crab legs But it's also many delicious items. I couldn't resist like this bow. I love bows I'm gonna come back for the dim sum, but just snackable small items like this like this and the doughnuts. I cannot resist it Let's try out the bow Not as fluffy as I thought because I might have been sitting out for a little bit but Nice authentic dim sum pork inside is good. Sweet Got that steamed bun. All right, so I got catfish earlier with the Calamari, I thought was chicken tenders, but this is the calamari right here. Let's try it out these chicken tenders Maybe they mislabeled them, but these are chicken tenders again. They're not bad though I think they're mixed because This is a piece of squid right here. So this is the calamari Okay. Yup. This is squid. I love the texture of squid pops in your mouth Look at this. I'm very proud of myself for this. I did like a perfect crab pull so We're gonna do a comparison right now. So you guys see this. This one is the Alaskan snow crab and this is the king crab. I'm gonna both dip it in butter. All right So we got some butter right here. I'm gonna do a little dipping action. Okay All right, look at this Look at this. So visually the King crab is a little bit more color. So let's try it out All right, that's snow crab Mmm All with the butter. This is heaven. So they're both great The snow crab is also pretty fleshy but main distinctions that there's way more flesh in here like you could feel in every bite Yeah, they're both great. Yeah, this is just a more meat more meat All right, let's try the lobster with the butter right here Mmm That butter is a game-changer Makes the lobster that much more savory. Let me know if you guys are team lobster or crab legs I actually think I prefer the crab legs at this buffet and then lobster crazy enough, but really love lobster tails I'm gonna do a lobster counter. I think this is a my third tail, but they're half tails So, but even though they're half tails are pretty big All right, y'all so we're gonna try out our carnivore plate right here I already tried the prime ribs. Like I said some of the best primary I had at any buffet super tender Could use a little crust but super tender but oh, so we got the roasted duck right here I rarely see this at any buffet roasted pork So there's a lot of Asian options here guys and a filet Mignon right here got the beef rib from the prime rib and a tandoori chicken wing So let's just grab one of these roasted porks It's char siu pork sweet barbecue pork in Vietnamese a sissy And it's super tender because char siu pork can be like really tough if made wrong but nice crust on outside a little bit sweetness Super tender for my face standards 10 out of 10 pork char siu I would probably eat this with rice, but I'm at a buffet. So I want to save my stomach space for More of the main item want to try a little bit of everything here. This is the roasted duck right here unbelievable item at a buffet Rarely see this So duck is a fattier poultry. I love the skin right here. The skin has to be nice and crispy. Let's try it out Nice layer of fat on that duck really fatty great duck, but the skin could be a little bit crispier maybe because it was just sitting out there, but for buffet standards Roasted duck great flavor. All right. Let's try this filet mignon right here. Nice medium piece I am seriously impressed with the quality of all these items feels like I mean it is like a restaurant a chef making it but feels like It's just food straight from a restaurant or from like a head chef. All the meat has been amazing I seriously have nothing to complain about. I say the crab is like 8 out of 10, but all the meat items Amazing blew me away. So let's try the beef rib right here. Let's take a nice bite One of the drier beef ribs I've had but definitely there's a lot of meat on here a Lot of meat and this is where all the crust is on the prime rib Crunchy but a little bit on the dry side Let's try this tandoori chicken wing right here There's that Indian spice on there a little bit of sweetness too Really crispy a little bit on the dry side for a wing, but I like the flavor on the outside different type of chicken wing All right Half lobster tail counter So I know there's a lot of families here very family-friendly Environment very nice and spacious in here a lot of natural lighting look at the window up there and there's some live entertainment for dinner as well So after I get the main carnivore and seafood plates, I like to do like a random plate So I got some shrimp cocktail right here some cocktail sauce. Let's try it out hmm nice cold Thick fleshy pieces of cocktail shrimp. The cocktail sauce is on like the horseradishy side. Got some Shimei right here. Let's dip in some soy sauce And I'll give it like a 6.5 out of 10. It doesn't score. Seemed a little bit dry. I've been sitting there for a while So we got some Har gow right here. Give it some soy sauce Yeah, that har gow has been sitting out. Not good. I couldn't take that har gow down But uh, let's try some of this ginger scallion Crab legs right here with the Chinese sauce love these Like a nice thick glaze of the ginger scallion Chinese glaze on there and there's a bunch of flesh in this crab leg Mm-hmm. That's good. One of my favorite like sauces for Crab and you know seafood really good 10 out of 10 for these Gotta eat this with rice. But yeah guys really great dinner vibes That man is still going on that acoustic guitar playing the classics. What was the one he just played? Played some NSYNC My Way. What's the one before? Careless Whisper? Acoustic versions. Great vibes here for dinner All right guys last but not least the dessert one of my favorite sections at a buffet always gotta Cap the buffet off with a bang. So we got freshly made crepes right here You ask them to make it. However, you like I got mixed berries with some ice cream on top and Nutella inside Some creme brulee There's a chocolate fountain. I got some marshmallows and chocolate-covered strawberries right here And some bread pudding, let's try out the ice cream crepe before it melts. So Oh nice creamy vanilla bean good mix with the Nutella Pretty good thin soft Spongy crepe with a bunch of Nutella in it. My favorite combo with a crepe Nutella and berries Nice and warm and That's the ice cream to cool it down Let's try out this bread pudding right here Nice and warm Kind of mushy. Let's try this marshmallow right here It's sugar on sugar right here Can't miss with chocolate-covered strawberries one of my favorite combos Try this little creme brulee right here. You know how we like to do it Like give it that hardness test tap it on the top. See if there's a nice sear Okay, don't hear too much but Thin sear but I mean it's buffet creme brulee so didn't have too much high expectations, but it's pretty good nice vanilla Nice vanilla bean custard With a little bit of sugar on the top solid creme brulee for our buffet standards give it a out All right guys I'm stuffed just finished at the cafe Sierra one of the most luxurious and expensive Buffets I have been to so I've been here once before for brunch They upped their price a little bit from last year when I went but they definitely up their quality as well Great food. Like I said the highlights for me were all the meat and Asian items Great quality, but like I said, one of the most expensive buffets 140 for dinner So I'll definitely say so I'll say like this is more of like a treat, you know going out with your family You guys want to splurge and you guys could definitely do it here because there's some great options to be had And yeah had a great time here DVW score for this whole buffet.
