You kind of feel that's where he should be.
Oh, he's finally put it away.
It was Medvedev on the runaround.
Terrific stuff already.
Alcaraz chasing everything down, but Medvedev, right place, right time.
Well, it is Alcaraz who gets the breakthrough.
Oh, the rescue too.
Alcaraz wants to hear a bit more.
And there we go.
It is the immediate break back.
It's amazing stuff.
Against the break back.
Bit of a statement there.
Gotcha.
Passed him in a flash.
Oh, the core coverage killers from Carlos.
Well, that was a pretty big opening set.
Lots of storylines.
And Carlos Alcaraz able to come through it.
Such a well-cushioned volley from Carlos.
He's not going to get to that.
Oh!
Abusal Medvedev.
Top.
And that one.
Off as well.
Bullseye.
Stand back, everyone.
Makes another big statement in Beijing.
With a straight set win over Daniel Medvedev.
That's why we need a mic on him.
Always full of chatter, Daniel Medvedev.
But he's a gracious loser in this instance.
Well, for Carlos Alcaraz, no wonder he's all smiles.
Because he is looking back to his best here in the Chinese capital.
