People deluded I'm back again, Arsenal to PSG nil, four points from two games on the board now in
the Champions League league table. And I'm a happy man. And what was the curtain opener to our home
games in the Champions League? I think we did well. I think in the first half, the intensity
from every player, can't accuse any one of those starting players or anyone for not being with it.
I think, you know, we look sharper than PSG. One thing that I have not seen as much when other
guards not been there was the high press. Maybe it shows how much we rate PSG. We want our
individual and collective battles. Obviously Saka scored a free kick. And for me, the XG from that
angle is on the floor. We have to be shameless people. That's our first free kick since I believe
Odegaard against Burnley in 2021. Kai Havert scored. We did what we needed to do. I think the
first half was good. Califuri bossed it. Timbo bossed it. On the topic of Timbo, you hope the
injury isn't anything serious. Lovely to see Lewis Skelly and Mikel Moreno return. So yeah, man, I
think we kept the man in form, Bacola quiet. We kept their substitutes quiet. Nuno Mendes probably
looked their most lively player, if I'm completely honest with you. I have to big up the refs. I'll
never big up the refs and I'll probably have egg on my face in a couple of fixtures. But there was
a couple of moments that I'm sure everyone would agree, had they have happened in the Premier
League, they might have had different outcomes. Second half, we probably absorbed too much
pressure than the fans would have liked. I personally put that down as a professional
performance, if I'm brutally honest. You don't always need to slap teams. You don't always need
to win by 3-4. It would have been nice. Default field, there was opportunities where we could
have got the third at the very least. Probably absorbed pressure a bit too much. It looked like
tiredness came into the legs as well. We were giving the ball away a bit too much, but ultimately
everything worked out. I think Kivu looked a bit awkward at times. I think Trosser had a great
game and a great ball for Kai Havertz, if I'm brutally honest with you, but gave the ball away
a bit less. It would have been lovely to see Martinelli score again. Wanted a bit more from
Saka beyond the goal, but he did everything he needed to do. I think everyone had a good game.
I think Rye had a better performance. I think Thomas Partey continued his good form. I think
Kai's general play, especially his hold-up play in the second half, let alone his goal, was quality.
I think Calafiri looked good. Interested to see him play right back. I think people won't give
credit because we didn't concede, but Saliba, Gabriel and also on occasion, David Rye, because
PSG did have chances. They cracked the bar. They did have chances. Kanye and Lee had an effort
that was saved by Rye. I think our defenders stood up too. It's a good day at the office,
if we drew or lost, having one point from two games is a dark place.
They say you need about 16 points to qualify in the top eight positions.
We just need to chase the rest of them now. We're picking up where we left off last month
of September. October, we've got tough games. We've dealt with PSG. Now it's on to continuing
the winning run in the Premier League or unbeaten run in the Premier League against Southampton.
We know we've got Liverpool to come soon. We know we've got to play Shakhtar next. We've got
Preston. I'm missing some games out, so business as usual. I don't know if there'll be some people
probably calling for changes against Southampton owing to their form. I don't mind one or two
changes. But for me, I think you've got to play a strong team. I do wonder what the gaffer is
going to say about Benjamin White, Tommy Assu and now Timbaugh. So we're going to have to see.
I wonder how much minutes Mikel Moreno is going to get against Southampton. But as I said,
professional street smart performance in the second half. We've shown that we can't be broken
down. I think it was one of our most entertaining displays of the season in an attacking sense in
the first half. So I'm a happy man. And I'm sure all of us know in football, two nil is a dangerous
scoreline. And we all saw what happened last Saturday in the Premier League against Leicester.
So I'm happy I can attribute that to an off day. So yeah, we've got the points on the board. We
enjoyed tonight. Tomorrow we focus for Southampton. Don't forget to smash the like button,
folks. Let me know your thoughts in relation to Arsenal against Paris Saint-Germain. On that note,
peace.
