I never thought I would be the one to
say this but if you're under any kind of
pressure and you're thinking of doing
something crazy just to have a child
anything that goes against your own
Common Sense stop now because what we
did it destroyed our lives and looking
back I realized the signs were there
from the beginning but we were too
desperate too blind to see them I'm not
here to scare you but I wish someone had
scared me it's funny looking back now
how it all began ad and I were both what
you would call educated modern
professionals living in Lagos Nigeria I
worked in a marketing firm and ad was an
engineer we had been married for seven
years and had everything going for us
except one thing we did not have a child
the first two years after our wedding
was fine we were not in any rush we
wanted to have ourselves to each other
before the children came we had heard
that as soon as the children start
coming we would get too busy with
raising them so this was our time to be
just by ourselves so we were not even
trying for children at this time but by
the third year The Whispers began you
know how it is family friends even
colleagues started asking the same
question when will we hear the Cry of a
baby in your house some people meant
well but after a while it just became
annoying and then it became
unbearable every phone call from my
mother-in-law started with any news and
every visit from ad sisters ended with
them sign dramatically about how we were
getting older and needed to start having
children ah I won't lie I hated it I
hated the looks of pity and the way
everyone assumed it was my fault as if
ad wasn't part of this too but in
Nigeria you know how it is the woman
always carries the blame by year five
the pressure was too much it was truly
unbearable my mother-in-law even
suggested that ad should take a second
wife I remember sitting in her living
room that day listening to her and
thinking is this really happening ad
didn't say anything he just sat there
silent while I tried to hold back my
tears that night we fought for hours I
did not understand why he would not
stand up to his mother but then again
what did I expect him to do he was so
silent that I did not even know what he
was thinking the truth is we were both
tired we had tried everything doctors
fertility treatments prayers fasting
name it but nothing
worked I didn't know how much more I
could bear me that was very cheerful had
become a sad mess carrying a long face
all over the place my appetite was
nonexistent so I was losing weight and
the one scaring husband I married was
now spending more and more time in the
office I hardly saw him I would cry to
God for hours until I had no more words
I did not wish this on even my worst
enemy this sadness and burden was just
too much one day after yet another
argument with ADI about trying IVF again
after three failed painful attempts a
friend of ours told us about this doctor
she had heard of Dr FY she claimed he
was different she said he had helped
many people who were told by every
doctor that they could never have
children H ad and I were skeptical but
we were also very desperate so we agreed
to meet with Dr
Fey the day we went to his Hospital I
remember feeling
uneasy it wasn't the type of place we
expected the clinic was located in a
rundown building on the outskirts of the
city not exactly a place you'd expect
the so-called Miracle Worker to practice
the sign out outside read FY fertility
specialist simple and
unimpressive when we entered the waiting
room it was deeply lit with old cheers
and walls that hadn't seen a fresh P
coat of paint in years there were other
couples there but everyone kept to
themselves no one made eye contact I
felt an ay silence hanging over the
place as if people were afraid to speak
a n event called us in to see Dr Fey he
was a middle-aged man with a kind face
wearing an old lap cut he greeted us
warmly though I noticed that his eyes
seemed too sharp too observant like he
was reading us before we even spoke sit
down please he said motioning to the
tears in front of his desk I've heard a
bit about your case and I want to assure
you there's nothing to worry about you
will have a child it sounded so simple
too simple in fact ad and I exchange
glances we've tried everything doctor I
said my voice shaking slightly we don't
want false hope H Dr Fe smiled leaning
forward I understand and you're not the
first to feel that way but what I offer
here is different this is not about
traditional medicine this is about
following ancient methods that have been
hidden from modern science
methods that
work something about the way he said
hidden sent a chill down my spine but
are they ever the rational one asked
what exactly does this method involve
the doctor leaned back in his chair
folding his hands on his desk it's
simple Zuri he looked directly at me you
will stay here in my clinic for 2 months
during that time you will undergo a
special treatment which includes eating
certain substances and following a
strict regimen ad you will also have to
perform a task but don't worry it's
nothing dangerous just a way to ensure
that your energies align with the
process I blinked stay here eat what the
questions stumbled out of my mouth
before I could stop myself Dr FY nodded
as if he had heard it all before yes you
will need to eat a specific dish
every day it's a mixture of rare herbs
and animal parts that work to prepare
your body for conception it's very
powerful but I must warn you it might
not taste Pleasant I stared at him my
mind racing ad was silent beside me his
Bros fled in deep thought everything the
doctor was saying sounded absurd ancient
methods eating strange things staying in
the clinic for 2 months we were educated
people and yet here we were seriously
considering this
madness I I don't understand I stammered
how is this supposed to work what
exactly would I be eating Dr fe's eyes
darkened slightly his smile fading the
details are not important zri what's
important is that you trust the process
this method has worked for countless
others people who had given up hope if
you want a child this is what you need
to
do I should have walked out right then I
should have grabbed a hands and left
that clinic never to return but instead
I sat there nodding slowly feeling the
weight of the years of pressure on my
Shoulders ad finally spoke what about me
what do I need to do the doctor turned
to him his expression serious you will
need to visit a secluded place a certain
Hill just outside the city there you
will offer a sacrifice an animal you
must do this alone and you must not
speak to anyone about it once you've
done this the path will be clear for
your child to come a
sacrifice a heal it sounded like
something out of an old Nollywood no
movie something that should not should
have been laughed off but ad didn't
laugh neither did I we were too far gone
too desperate to think straight we left
the clinic that day in silence both of
us lost in our thoughts when we got home
I sat on the couch staring at the floor
trying to make sense of it all are we
really going to do this I finally asked
ad sat beside me his face drawn his eyes
full of doubt I don't know Zuri I don't
know but what if he's right what if this
is our last
chance I wanted to scream to tell him
that this was Madness that no educated
person should be doing things like this
but I couldn't because a part of me was
starting to believe that maybe just
maybe this was the only way the next
week I packed a small bag and moved into
the doctor's clinic the place where I
would be staying was even more rundown
than the waiting room the bed was small
and uncomfortable and the walls were
thin enough that I could hear the
distant sounds of traffic
outside every day the N brought me a
bowl of thick dark soup the smell alone
made me gag but I forced myself to eat
it I didn't ask what was in it I didn't
want to know ad meanwhile went to the
hill the doctor had mentioned he
wouldn't talk about it afterward and I
didn't ask but the tension between us
grew thicker every day the they stun in
two weeks every day I ate the disgusting
soup every night I lay in that cold
heart bed praying that this would all be
watered The Other Women in the clinic
kept to themselves and I followed their
lead there was a strange silence in that
place like an unspoken rule that no one
asked questions no one talked about what
we were really
doing Dr Fey came back to check on me
occasionally always with that same eery
smile it's working he would say your
body's responding well but there was
nothing to prove it no tests no scans
just his
word one night I remember lying awake
staring at the cracked ceiling wondering
what I had gotten myself into how had I
a modern woman with a degree and a
career ended up here eating God knows
what staying in a Shabby Clinic
following the advice of a man I barely
knew but every time this doubts crept in
I thought about the pressure The
Whispers The TS from my mother-in-law
the looks of pity the thought of living
the rest of my life childless and I
would Brave myself and go on for another
day ad visited me once a week each time
I saw the tool it was taking on him he
looked more and more tired as if the
weight of what we were doing was
crushing him he still wouldn't talk
about what he did at the hill about what
the doctor had asked him to do I didn't
push we were both barely holding it
together it was around the sixth week
when things started to change one night
I woke up in a cold sweat my body felt
strange heavy uncomfortable I rushed the
bathroom for the first time in months I
threw up everything in my stomach at
first I thought it was just a reaction
to the horrible soup but then the nausea
wouldn't stop morning after morning I
woke up feeling sick my stomach turning
at the slightest smell of food I should
have been worried but instead a tiny
flicker of Hope spared inside me could
this be it could I be finally
pregnant I told Dr Fey about the
symptoms and for the first time since I
had arrived his face lit up with genuine
excitement yes Zuri this is the sign
we've been waiting for the process is
almost complete just a little longer it
felt too good to be true but I let
myself believe it then one evening I
overheard something I wasn't supposed to
I had just finished another meal of that
foul soup and was walking back to my
room when I heard voices coming from the
doctor's office it was Dr Fey and one of
the nurses I froze standing just outside
the door straining to
listen what are you going to do about
her the nurse asked her voice low but
urgent nothing Dr F replied she doesn't
need to know by the time she realizes
what's happening it will be all too late
my heart stopped what were they talking
about I pressed myself against the wall
my hands trembling the conversation
continued but the words were muffled I
only caught bits and pieces something
about a payment something about a
promise
but it was enough enough to know that
something was terribly wrong I ran back
to my room my mind raising what had I
done what had I gotten myself
into the next morning I confronted Dr
Fey I couldn't take it anymore what are
you really doing here I demanded
standing in front of his desk my voice
shaking What's in the soup what are
these rituals tell me the truth he
didn't even Flinch he just looked at me
without same cold calculating gaze Zuri
calm down you are under a lot of stress
everything I've done is to help you to
give you what you want help me you are
lying to me I know something is not
right I heard you talking last night
what are you hiding he stood up slowly
walking around the desk until he was
standing directly in front of me you
want to know the truth fine here's the
truth the soup you've been eating the
rituals you've been following they are
not what you think they are they are not
just herbs and animal parts they are
ingredient to bind something stronger I
felt my stomach twist in horror bind
what what are you saying a spirit he
said calmly as if you were talking about
the weather an ancient Spirit one that
can give you a child but it comes at a
cost a cost that you've already agreed
to I stumbled back my hands flying to my
mouth what a spirit what do you mean
what cost you will have your child Zuri
but that child won't be yours it will
belong to the spirit and in exchange for
this child you and AD you will still
have to give something of equal value I
felt like I couldn't breathe I couldn't
think it was all too much a spirit a
deal
what had we agreed through what had we
done I ran out of the office my heart
pounding in my chest I had to get out of
there I had to find a day we needed to
leave to stop this madness before it
went any further but as I raced through
the clinic I realized something terrible
there was no way out the doors were
locked the windows were bad we were
trapped I don't remember how long I sat
there
huded in a corner of the hallway subbing
the realization hit me like a punch to
the gut we had so our souls our future
for a child we might never even get to
keep and they God that day he had no
idea he still thought he were just
following some strange but harmless
ritual he didn't know the
truth when ad day arrived that evening I
told him everything he didn't believe me
at
how could he it sounded insane but when
I told him what I had overheard when I
described the doctor's words I saw the
color drain from his face we need to
leave I whispered now but it was too
late the doors were still locked the
staff the doctor they were all in on it
we were prisoners in that clinic Pawns
in some Twisted game we didn't even
understand that night we tried to escape
but as we crept through the dark empty
Halls we were caught by the doctor and
his staff there was no fight no struggle
they simply dragged us back to our rooms
as if they have done this a thousand
times before the next morning Dr Fey
came to see us one last time it is
almost time he said quietly the process
is almost complete soon you will have
your own child but I didn't want that
child child anymore not like this not
with the price I think we would have to
pay I never did find out exactly what
they did to me in that clinic all I know
is that a few weeks later I discovered I
was pregnant but instead of Joy all I
felt was fear dread for what was coming
for the child I will bring into the
world we never went back to the clinic
but the pregnancy was uneventful and
after 8 months I gave birth when our
baby arrived the world around us seemed
to pause for the first few weeks all I
could see was this tiny perfect child he
had the smoothest skin the softest hair
and eyes so dark they almost looked
black and when I looked into his eyes I
saw something else something dark
something that didn't belong to us
ad and I named him AI meaning the king
loves me because we thought that after
everything we had been through we had
finally won the greatest battle of Our
Lives we were
parents after I gave birth we cut off
all contact with everyone we knew but
the shadow of what we had done followed
us
everywhere I was scared of the baby he
was normal on the surfice but I could
not get the words of Dr Fey out of my
mind I observed that for one Obi never
cried not once from the moment he was
born he was silent almost too silent you
would expect a baby to wh and scream but
not about Fe he just stared at us with
those black piercing eyes as if he
already knew more than a newborn should
I tried to talk to ad about it but he
brushed it off saying it was a blessing
he's just a good baby ad they said we
should be grateful and maybe he was
right maybe he was just first time
mother nerves so I let it go but as aafi
grew so did my own
ease by the time OB was a tobler the
tension between AD and me had become
unbearable our once loving home had
turned into a house of Whispers and
distance we barely talked anymore except
to discuss the child I threw himself
into work staying out later and later
every night avoiding the unspoken Fair
we both shared and I well I stayed home
with AI watching him studying him trying
to understand why my own child filled me
with such
fear there were moments when I would
catch a staring at me and it wasn't like
how a normal child looks at their mother
his gaze was too intense too KN him he
never played with toys like other
children no he preferred to sit in
silence his little fingers tracing
strange patterns on the floor I would
walk into a room and he would already be
there standing perfectly still
waiting How could a three-year-old
behave like this where was the laughter
the giggles The
Joy the worst part was that Opa had an
uncanny ability to predict things he
will tell me something was going to
happen and then it would almost exactly
as he said one time I Was preparing
dinner and he quietly whispered the pot
is going to fall before I could even
react the pot slipped from my hands and
crashed to the ground I stood there
shaking looking at him but he didn't
Flinch he just smiled that same Eerie
smile he always had I remember once it
was at's cousin's wedding a big family
event we had been looking forward to for
months the type of gathering where
everyone comes together aunties uncles
friends and family friends you know how
it is in Nigeria weddings are like
reunions I remember that day so clearly
because it was one of the first times we
took our son to a big family function I
was excited but nervous too I kept
thinking this is our chance to show
everyone our son that our prayers have
finally been answered as the ceremony
started everything seemed fine at first
our son was quiet sitting by my side but
there was something off about the way he
was looking around it wasn't the usual
childlike
curiosity it was unsettling his eyes had
this intense almost predatory glare he
was scanning the room like he was
searching for
something then came the reception the
music was blasting people were dancing
and the smell of jolof rice filled the
air and that was when it happened in the
middle of all the dancing my son stood
up he was just a toddler barely walking
properly but he walked with this strange
confidence like he knew exactly what he
was doing he made his way to the center
of the hall where the bride and groom
were dancing and he just stood there
staring at them everyone thought he was
cute at first but then he started
laughing not the innocent laughter of a
child but something deeper darker like
he was mocking them I will never forget
the way his voice echoed through that
Hall it sent shivers down my spine the
laughter was so out of place it silenced
the whole room people stopped dancing
the music even seemed to fade and then
without warning my son launched at the
bride he grabbed her veil and yanked it
off her head pulling her down in the
process the bride screamed stumbling to
catch herself and the groom rushed to
help her up there was chaos people
rushed to the scene trying to separate
him from the bride but he was holding on
to her veil so tightly it took two men
to pry his tiny tiny hands off I was
frozen I didn't know what to do my
husband ran to grab him but when he
picked our son up the boy started biting
his arm drawing blood the way he looked
at us like we were nothing to him it
wasn't the look of a child it was the
look of something far more
Sinister The Whispers started that day
people said the child was strange that
there was something not right about him
the bride was terrified and the rest of
the family stayed away from us for the
rest of the event it was the beginning
of the
isolation after that incident my
husband's mother insisted on taking care
of her son for a few weeks she said
maybe it was because we were too modern
that our parenting was soft and that we
needed to he needed to be around his
roots so we reluctantly agreed hoping
that maybe our traditional ways would
calm him down at first she was proud she
posted to everyone that she was taking
care of her grandson the one everyone
was whispering about he just a boy she
would say boys are tough they need
discipline not this soft approach I
could feel her resentment towards me but
I didn't argue I hoped she was right but
after just one week everything changed
my mother-in-law's confidence quickly
faded she stopped taking him out to the
market like she used to and she would
call us late at night saying this boy is
strange she never went into detail
though that is until one evening when
she refused to take care of him anymore
she came to our house sweating and
frantic holding my son's hand as though
she was afraid to let go come and take
this boy I cannot do it anymore she said
her voice trembling I asked her what had
happened and at first she refused to say
she just kept Ming this boy is not
ordinary he's not normal after pressing
her she finally told us the story one
afternoon she had left him in the
sitting room while she went to the
kitchen to prepare dinner she was
chopping vegetables when she heard a
loud bang like something had fallen she
ran out only to find him standing in
front of the mirror in the living room
staring at his own
reflection but it wasn't just the
reflection that scared her she swore
that in the mirror the boy wasn't alone
she said she saw a Shadow another figure
standing right behind him even though
there was no one else in the room when
she blinked it was gone she tried to
brush it off her mind as that her mind
was playing tricks on her but then
something worse
happened later that evening she tried to
feed him his dinner but he refused to
eat instead he just sat there smiling
she said she didn't notice it at first
but when she looked closely the food she
had just placed in front of him had
disappeared not a single grain of rice
was left in the plate and she hadn't
even seen him eat terrified she asked
him did you eat it and he just smiled
that same Eerie smile he had at the
wedding then out of nowhere he said I
don't need food from this house a child
barely speaking full sentences said
something like that H it was a
impossible that was the final stug for
her she didn't sleep that night and by
morning she refused to keep him anymore
my mother-in-law the woman who had
pressured me for years to have a child
now couldn't stand to be in the same
room with her own
grandson from then on even family
members stopped visiting us people said
they couldn't explain it but that there
was something wrong with her son he
didn't behave like other children he
would stay for long long periods of time
and nothing he would laugh when there
was no joke and people swore they heard
him talking to someone even when he was
alone and I his mother was left
wondering what had we done to bring this
child into the
world the more these strange occurrences
happened the more isolated we became
finally that had once prayed for us to
have a child now avoided us like the
plague my mother-in-law we used to call
every day asking for grandchildren
stopped picking my calls are they
sisters who once came to our house on
unannounced full of excitement now
stayed
away there were no more visits no more
celebrations just silence everyone acted
as though we had done something
unspeakable and maybe we had when
started school things only got worse we
tried to give him a normal life hoping
that being around other children might
make him more normal but it didn't work
he didn't make friends in fact the other
children were terrified of him the
teachers called us multiple times
complaining that Oba was too quiet that
he refused to participate in activities
and that the other kids would burst into
tears whenever he came near them we
tried different schools different
environments but it was always the same
him AA would sit by himself his dark
eyes following the other children but
never engaging there was one incident I
would never forget it was his seventh
birthday and we decided to host a small
party trying to create some semblance of
normaly only a handful of kids showed up
most parents made excuses and didn't
bring their children but halfway through
the party one of the boys started
screaming
uncontrollably he ATA crying about how
aafi had made the likes to come on and
off no one else had seen it but the boy
was inconsolable his parents wxed him
away fast and that was the last time
anyone ever attended anything we
hosted at night I would hear AA
whispering to himself in his room but
when I would ask him who he was talking
to he would just shrug and say the man
what man I wonder
there was no man in our house but I
never had the courage to press further
the distance between AD and Me grew even
wider we were barely living together
more like two strangers occupying the
same space we both knew what was
happening but neither of us wanted to
say it it was too terrifying Too Real by
the time AA was a teenager he had grown
tall mean and striking but that same
uning presence clung to him like a
shadow he barely spoke to us and when he
did it was always in a cold detached way
he never laughed never smiled at least
not like a normal person his smile was
always that strange Eerie knowing
grein one night I woke up to find AA
standing in our bedroom doorway just
watching not sleep my heart nearly
stopped me what are you doing I asked my
voice trembling he didn't answer he just
stared at me those black eyes piercing
through the darkness then without a word
he turned and walked away H ad and I
barely slept we couldn't the weight of
what we had done the realization of what
our desperation had brought into this
world was too much to bear ad they
started staying out late sometimes not
coming home at all when he was home he
avoided oathy at all costs I often
caught him staring at our son Fear And
Regret etched across his face I knew he
was thinking the same thing I was what
had we brought into this
world oba's Behavior became even more
disturbing strange things started
happening around the house objects would
move on their own light would Flicker
and sometimes we would hear footsteps
even when no one was there I couldn't
shake the feeling that we were being
watched not just byi but by something
else something
darker the final st came when ad and I
returned home one night to find the
family dog dead in the backyard its body
was untouched no sign of violence or
attack but its eyes its eyes were wide
open filled with Terror I knew deep down
that obam had something to do with it
but how could I prove it how could I
even begin to explain what was
happening and you know the worst part
people have started disappearing in our
neighborhood a young girl here a boy
there I have never seen anything but my
mind tells me that our son is
responsible for all these
disappearances but how can I prove it
who do I tell and how do I know if we
wouldn't be next
how we had sold our souls for a child
and now we were paying the price the
thing that lived in our house the boy
who was once our son was not what we had
hoped for the spirit that had given us
this child was now demanding it due of
course we had no friends no family my
mother-in-law who had once been so
desperate for a grandchild now wanted
nothing to do with us she couldn't even
come near the house there's something
wrong with that boy she whispered to me
her voice trembling with fear I don't
know what you did but that is not a
normal child every day I was haunted by
the thought of what we had done the
desperation that had driven us to that
clinic to that doctor had destroyed our
lives we had been so blind so desperate
that we couldn't see the truth staring
Us in the face
and now it was just too
late but no even though we thought it
was too late somehow God's mercy finds
us it found us somehow I don't even know
how it was many years later when Obi was
older that I began to pray today I
wonder why I didn't start
earlier maybe it was just the guilt or I
felt that God will not hear me I don't
know but one day I prayed at first it
was out of fear but deep down in me I
knew we had to do something my husband
and I had been so isolated cut up for
everyone that it felt like we were
living with a stranger in our own home
it was as still a dark cloud hovered
over our family and no matter what we
did it wouldn't go
away one night I couldn't take it
anymore I fell to my my knees in our
bedroom and I began to pray
frantically I prayed for Mercy I prayed
for forgiveness I prayed for a way out
of the mess that we had created I prayed
for God to save us to save me my husband
those skeptical eventually joined in we
had no other choice we knew we had to do
something we knew we had to do something
fast we had done something terrible
something that went against everything
we believed and now we're suffering the
consequences but something strange
happened every time we prayed the house
would come Alik with strange noises like
Whispers coming from the walls soft
tapping That Grew louder and louder
until it became unbearable and then our
son would appear stop it mom he would
say in that cold chilling voice of his
his you are making it uncomfortable for
me the first time he said it I froze
how did he even know we were praying he
hadn't been anywhere near the room it
was as if he could feel it every time he
prayed he would become more agitated
more Restless he stopped eating with us
stopped talking to us completely except
for warning us when we prayed this house
doesn't like your prayers he would say I
don't like them either it was in those
moments that I realized huh this really
was no ordinary child he had come into
this world through unnatural means and
now he was warning us not to call on God
as if the very presence of Holiness
Disturbed him but I didn't care I
couldn't stop the more uncomfortable he
became the more I prayed and the more I
prayed the more noises intensified there
were nights I was convinced that
something or someone was moving in the
shadows of our house watching us wanting
us to stop
and then one day out of the Blues the
doctor appeared at our door yes doctor
Fey it had been nearly 16 years since we
had seen him but when I opened the door
there he was
unchanged not a single wrinkle not a
single gray hair he looked exactly the
same as the day we met him I've come to
collect he said his voice cold his eyes
shifting toward son who was standing in
the hallway watching us with an unusual
cam I didn't understand at first Colette
what did he mean the doctor stepped into
the house Uninvited his gaze fixed on
our son the deal was made you wanted a
child I gave you one but you knew there
would be a price I shook my head in
disbelief but my husband my husband just
stood there silent maybe he he had
already figured it out maybe he knew all
along that this day would come before I
could say anything our son stepped
forward his face
emotionless I'm ready he said no I
screamed you can't take him he's our son
but the doctor smiled a wicked smile
that sent chills down my spine is he was
he ever truly
yours my son or the child I thought was
my son turned to me one last time there
was no emotion in his eyes No Love No
recognition and with that he walked out
of the door with the
doctor we were left in Silence the house
which had once been filled with
unsettling noises was now very quiet it
was as if the darkness that had
surrounded us for so long had finally
lifted my husband and I sat in the
living room unable to speak still trying
to process what had just happened days
passed and we slowly began to pick up
the pieces of Our Lives the nightmares
stopped the strange occurrences ceased
for the first time in years I felt a
sense of Peace but there was still an
emptiness inside me we had lost our son
or whatever he had been I was now
childless again hm I was childless but
somehow deep in me I had this peace I
knew God had forgiven us I was satisfied
at this point to be without a child I
had accepted my
fate but then something unexpected
happened you won't believe it a month
later I started feeling sick at first I
thought it was the stress but then I
realized I was late at first I ignored
it but but when the feeling of sickness
continued I finally went to the clinic
they did a test and when the result came
out positive I couldn't believe it 25
years of
marriage 25 years of waiting praying and
hoping and now after all this time I was
pregnant with a child of my own a real
child a
blessing I broke down in tears over by
the mercy that had been shown to us God
had heard our prayers he had taken away
the evil we had brought into this world
and replaced it with something pure this
time it was different this child was a
miracle a true gift from
God as I sit here telling you this story
I'm holding my newborn daughter in my
arms she's everything we ever hoped for
and more and though the pain of what we
went through will always be with us I
know that we've been given a second
chance if there's one thing I've learned
from this experience it is that patience
and faith will always win over
desperation no matter how much pressure
you face no matter how much pain you
endure never take matters into your own
hands in a way that goes against your
conscience the consequences are never
worth
it I'm telling you this not to scare you
but to warn you I'm telling you this
because I want you to understand what
desperation can do to you how it can
make you blind to the truth blind to
reason it can make you do things you
never thought possible it can lead you
down a path you can't come back from if
you're struggling if you desperate for a
child I beg you don't do what we did
don't let that desperation drive you
into the arms of people like Dr Fey
because some deals once made can never
be unmade and once you bring something
into this world you may never be able to
send it back I know that not having a
child for years is very tough and very
painful but learn from my story learn
these lessons number one desperation can
lead you
astray when ad ad and I were so
desperate for a child we didn't think
clearly
no matter how strong your desire never
let it push you into making choices you
might regret forever two always seek
genuine help we went to a so-called
specialist who promised us the world but
all we got was a nightmare if you are in
need seek out real trustworthy help
don't be SAR by promises that sound too
good to be true there are people out
there who generally want to help but you
have to find them and not just settle
for any quick
value your family and friends our
relationships with family and friends
were ruined because of the chances that
we made and then understand that some
deals are irreversible the most painful
lesson of all is that some decisions
cannot be undone once you make a path to
desperation there might be no turning
back you might find yourself living with
the consequences for the rest of your
life be cautious think carefully before
making choices that can all your path
forever I hope this lessons reach
someone before it's too late the journey
we went through was a dark one and
sharing if sharing our story can prevent
even one person from falling into the
same trap then maybe just maybe there
will be some light in this
Darkness thank you so much for watching
I invite you to like the video and
please share with someone you know who
may need to watch it as well stay well
