HIGHLIGHTS | Manchester City vs. FC Barcelona -- UEFA Women's Champions League 2024-25 (Español)

The reigning champions are obviously the favorites The opponent to beat but facing an authentic powerhouse Sandra Riquelme how are you Is the Champions back Well the Champions is back indeed Andrea I don't know about you but I had a lot of a lot of desire to debut with this real match Manchester City FC Barcelona Well this is how the regain stadium sounds this Joy Stadium where we are going to enjoy an authentic match We listened we respected as it first sounded for City and for Barça the anthem of the UEFA Women's Champions League Perfecta the Norwegian she's going to receive the ball in the box Let's see what Alex Aputeas does he sets it perfectly for Graham Shot to the post That first shot on goal by Graham he scores I think so too I'm with Graham I think it reaches the Japanese goalkeeper right Let's see now if we can see it again but it seems to me that with the right glove Here we will see it better for sure Now with Alexia it's very open for Friodina Rolfo Alexia shoots towards Llama the Japanese goalkeeper She had Friodina Rolfo on her left she decided to raise her leg It's true that it was I think it's the control that gets a little bit away from him What a good ball from Fowler he leaves Sol alone in the box leaves her behind He miscalculates the pass it's going to fall to The player who goes to the ball carrier and then to two players who block her is not offside To those who block the possible passing lines And they are bottling up Barça which is having a lot of trouble playing the ball out We were saying it's a team it's the prior most complicated match in the group Here we have the replay Manchester City watch that ball the fight is going to Payot That ball that finally ends up in Llamasita's hands Laia Alexandri Salvadora under the tree saved the shot after a mistake in the backward pass Y Salvadora takes on the role of heroine for the Citizens Laia Alexandri With great speed now on that left flank Casperi playing for Miedema inside the box she wants to pass to Jesper What a stop What a stop by Alexia Putellas Cata flew now she has put on the cape of a superheroine The assistance on the first play is excellent Femi's tackle and then how Jesper gets up as well The move is a masterpiece by Manchester City Second ball pole again Cata watch out the exit isn't good Goal Goal He's going to save the Cat The Citizens advance on a ball that no one had cleared It is the very young Naomi Laisel who finally puts that ball in the back of the net City is moving forward Barça is losing possession in this moment Minute 35 of the first half there's the ball how it slips through Termina it doesn't arrive Cata And none of the stalls four from Barça trying to stop it The Green Book left foot Miedema's finish which doesn't manage to give the neck the turn will take it out of the goalkeeper's hands She has completely finished alone the Dutchwoman What would have to be seen was whether she was offside or not If Aitana Bommati gets away Bonnie Shaw is ready to leave There's nothing there Aitana Bommati continues with the ball Aitana Bommati can shoot "Go for it " He stopped and that's exactly what Barça needs to do with that ball I saw the gap Aitana went down it was easy for the Japanese goalkeeper She was right next to the post that's for sure A very characteristic touch by Aitana with the inside of the foot Rolfo decides to play with Claudia Pina she has space Pina shoots wide That shot from Claudia Pina would have put her in trouble Pera Romeo Because he saw the gate and had no doubt And now he was explaining it there with Claudia Pina you and Paty that's surely what we caught The side that didn't leave even a small gap goes Aitana Bommati Aitana hides her faces her towards Bakira the shot is well aimed at Yamashita Akira Walsh was hit in the center a great move Aitana can shoot Aitana shoots A player from City hit the post that ball will be a corner for Barcelona But Aitana also does a good job of deceiving Kim with that move practically assisted by Greenwood We are already at the 76th minute of the match 1-0 Barcelona is losing Watch out for that ball behind Barcelona's defense it's very forced Patrick Guijarro goes to Banyshaw Manchester City's goal The second goal for City set up by Banyshaw Patrick Guijarro was caught just as the Mallorcan was arriving Distance from the marker City's celebration because it can't be any other way Returning to the Champions League and already winning in the 77th minute 2-0 against Barcelona It's complicated from that angle but I think there's no offside afterward It is true that it gives the impression that Banyshaw's definition could have been twisted but it is perfectly restored Patrick Guijarro does not arrive It's nothing Patrick Guijarro doesn't arrive And he ends up scoring the second goal for me in the best minutes of the Barcelona match Without a doubt He is on his own And the game ends the victory of Manchester City is sealed the first defeat of Barcelona since April Pierden Champions losing their first group stage match 2-0 at Manchester City's home
