There's a disciple of Sophia Perennis, as a monistic metaposition, someone that gives
great credence above all else, absolutely above all else, wisdom.
I find it peculiar that, and that's a word you never encounter in daily life, when's
the last time you saw on TV, as I call it, the idiot box, you know, someone used the
word wisdom.
I might use it in a loose sense, in a roundabout sense of, everybody asks, like in live stream
for example, they'll usually ask about my tattoos, which I don't look at these tattoos
anymore.
I don't even see them, they've been on my skin for so long, I don't see them.
The other thing they're always asking me is, what's your IQ?
Well, I've actually never had an IQ test, I absolutely don't give any credence for it.
It is important to have people doing analytical things that require linear processing of a
human mind to be intelligent.
There's a huge difference, of course, between being a fool and being uneducated.
Uneducated is one thing and unintelligent is another.
There are people both in India, and these are just glaring examples, people that are
supremely wise, like some of these sadhus, sadhus basically, an ascetic who's living
out in the forest and perpetually engaging in synthesis, in deep disobjectification,
which of course you use those conventional words, concentration and meditation, which
I'll never use, and also to places like Kentucky and some really deep places of rural Appalachia
where people can, you know, a deer passed through here two days ago and it's a two year
old deer.
It's like, how do you know that?
I just see dirt and leaves on the ground.
You know, they know exactly which direction they're headed, where the moss is growing
on the tree, you know, everything they do is in line with natural order.
And some of these people are actually illiterate, you know, mostly illiterate, and I don't hold
that against them, they actually have wisdom.
I don't go to any professor to get advice on worldly things on how to build and do things
because they don't know how to do anything, 99% of them, so I have nothing against a person
that's just uneducated, that's not a fool, it's the complete opposite of a fool.
These people understand natural order, they see things that you and I don't see, you know,
they know how to stay alive, like if the poop hit the fan, they would know exactly what
to do, what to eat, you know, what to do and what not to do, and I never...
I've had people in life actually come up to me that I've talked to or tried to get to
know me, and they feel embarrassed, like, well, what's wrong?
And I've had this happen before, including one person I dated, yes, I've actually dated
someone 100 years ago, and they said, I don't think you like me because I'm just nowhere
near as smart as you, and I was like, it doesn't mean anything at all, I think you're...
I actually abhor people that hold that against others, but what I did in this video, to get
to the point to make a distinction between intelligence and wisdom, there might be a
YouTube video out there about it, but I actually like making videos on topics that other people
don't discuss, i.e. episteme versus wisdom, or specifically empirical knowledge or intelligence
versus wisdom, and I'll make an acute observation that is also too undeniable about intelligence
that I've never heard anybody make before, actually except Proclus, actually Proclus
and Iamblichus have made this observation before, so I take that back, but not people
of modernity.
But I've never had an IQ test, I actually don't hold any credence in them, being intelligent
is a good thing, obviously being unintelligent is not something to be lauded over intelligence,
and it's like, hey, being unintelligent is way better than being intelligent, IQ does
not test for anything fundamentally important like spontaneous thought genesis, non-linear
thought, inventiveness, creativity, it doesn't test for retroductive and inductive processing,
which is specifically not empirically psychological, but it is a level of comprehension which is
not demonstrable, and it is not existential, and it's of course a reason why an IQ test
can't test for it.
But intelligence and wisdom, or specifically episteme and gnosis, of course we all have
our phones and our computers and our iPads, we can pull up any sort of irrelevant information
and have an enormous amount of important data for survival at our fingertips, of course
all of that can vanish in an instant if technology went down, but filling our heads with facts,
and I spent 6 years in college, I spent 4 years in the University of Kentucky, Southeast
Center of Photographic Studies, also too, Vladimirsky Institute, that's a city 130
kilometers northeast of Moscow, I was there, also too, some studies in Leningrad, which
is now St. Petersburg, I learned nothing there, I hung out in the library and I'm self-taught,
I know several languages and translate and write books, but that's not important, wisdom
is important, it's not intelligence, anyway getting on to intelligence and some of the
things that I've never seen anybody point out except for some of the ancient Greek Platonists
and Neoplatonists, is that intelligence implies nothing about doing what is good, nor does
it have anything against doing what is evil, I've pointed this out many countless times
and I haven't heard anybody in the past thousand years mention the fact that the greatest evil
is ever committed by countless individuals, just think of the most evil people, and there's
many of them throughout history, ones that you know and ones you probably haven't heard
of, they've always been highly intelligent fools, and to a superficial mind that seems
contradictory, but it's not contradictory at all, a highly intelligent fool is somebody
that has a great intellectual empirical thought processing, basically the human computer,
i.e. of empirical consciousness, the ability to put things together, they might be key
as strategicians, such as generals have been, they could actually see things on the field
and move them around, work out countless different scenarios near instantaneously and come up
with a brilliant answer, say on the battlefield for example, this is what we need to do because
if we do this then that will happen, and if that happens then this happens, and of course
this is what we do in chess, I haven't played chess in a long time but I used to be a chess
champion in high school, and it is good for training young minds, actually all young people
should actually learn chess, I'm completely against games, but the way to actually train
your mind is incredibly important, and chess however ultimately becomes irrelevant since
they're all empirical positional moves, and now the very best chess players on earth have
always been beaten by the latest supercomputers, the first one I think was Kasparov got beat
by Deep Blue, and then there was another supercomputer of a different name, so the very best chess
players on earth can be beaten by computers because chess ultimately is about seeing many
moves ahead and finding the best possible position, and that is linear, and that is
empirical, and that is intelligence, and that is of course that binary information crunching
that only a computer can do, but criminals for example, some of the very best of them
are all highly intelligent, but they do not follow natural order and they do what is against
the good, the most evil people in history have always been highly intelligent, these
are intelligent fools, they are by definition intelligent fools, they have a lot of empirical
knowledge, they're able to process same at usually high speed like a human computer essentially so,
but they can't collate it into doing what is right, they don't know what natural order is,
they are fools, they do evil, intelligence never implies by any definition from anyone
the implication that you do what is good, anytime someone that is both evil or a criminal and they
do what is good by reason of their intelligence is only for sake of the fact that you know if I do
that I'm probably gonna you know wind up in the slammer, that's the only thing that keeps them,
because the unintelligent people that do evil things they don't, those are the ones that end
up in the slammer, because they actually can't see forward several moves like a person playing
chess, like you know if I do this and I get caught I'm in the slammer, for example fast
collating, artificial intelligence of course would be a pure evil if it ever becomes created,
it'll be literally back be like the Terminator, you know it's a near-perfect analogy, you know
talk about genuine intelligence, imagine a supercomputer that were actually to have
spontaneous awareness, it has no wisdom, all its processing would be linear, it would be binary,
in such a case you can take all the facts in the world, say a supercomputer that's fed by
liquid nitrogen to cool itself down because it has a trillion different, say a trillion trillion
bits of processed information per microsecond and needs liquid nitrogen to cool its infinite
amount of number crunching down, it would conclude by evil rationalization that well
human beings exactly like these Terminator movies, that is one thing it's actually accurate
in science fiction, you know that all these humans are just like a little parrot, like the
matrix for example, you know the matrix by a nature of its super intelligence, its astronomical
super intelligence, well human beings are just parasites, you know they wreck everything,
let's just eliminate them, this is intelligence without wisdom or understanding, intellect of
course can be taught in most cases, unless of course is the roadblock of a learning disability,
this is to know, i.e. episteme, this is not to understand, to know is one thing and to understand
is another, wisdom of course we use the word colloquially, intuition, like a person's intuition,
this is the fundamental metaphysical state of understanding, to know what is right, what is
wrong and to follow natural order, by following natural order you do what the good is as the good
does, which is to emulate what is good, to emulate what is good is to do good, this doesn't mean
you're a do-gooder, it means you emulate the one, the one is good, what the good is, is also what
the good does, you follow natural order, this is to live in the light of the truth, as stated by
Jacob Bimmer, as stated by you know Plotinus, Porphyry, Iamblichus, Numenius, all the rest of
the wise men throughout the ancient history, to understand, i.e. Gnosis, to understand is to get
under what something superficially prima facie is, you know someone could be an expert at running a
computer but they don't know how to fix them, they don't have understanding, I used to repair, fix
laptop computers and build them, yada yada yada, Apple tech support for the MacBook Air, fundamentally
know what the heck's going on underneath it, understanding, wisdom, of course even then I'm
using the example of empirical knowledge regarding the interior of a computer, metaphysics is
understanding, physics is not understanding, that is what is demonstrable, that is prima facie,
that is empirical knowledge, this is the reason why I've said millions and millions of times that
descriptions are not explanations, because they are not, scientists will make discovery of a
certain phenomena, whether they come across it accidentally in experiments, oh look at that,
and they give a description, and usually the descriptions are completely inaccurate, all of
quantum, all the relativity is based upon the insane notions of curved space-time for example,
well space has no properties, as Tesla said famously and accurately, and time is only a
measure, there's no such thing as time, time is not a thing, space is not a thing either, this is
concept verification, like the things that don't exist, waves, shadows, emptiness, chaos, these are
things that are concepts that human beings created for things that don't actually exist in nature,
scientists are famous for having a lot of empirical data about a phenomena or a discovery or an
invention, but incorrect explanations, because accurate reproductions of results and experiments
do not a correct explanation thereof make, and this of course is a key distinction between
empirical knowledge, i.e. intelligence and wisdom, you could accurately describe something and what's
going on, but if you don't understand it, then your explanation of course is completely ludicrous,
most of physics today is like that, because it is atomistic, it is based on the belief that the
mother nature is a crazy chick with a calculator with a bag of magic particles, all their descriptions
are inaccurate, I mean accurate descriptions, but their explanations are absurd, there's no such
thing as a photon, the greatest experts of field theory vis-a-vis Tesla, Steinmetz, Heaviside,
they all say there's no such thing as an electron particle, even the discoverer of the phenomenon of
the electron particle, J.J. Thomson, said it was a single unit of dielectric induction, not a
particle at all, it's completely ludicrous, nor could you explain wireless power induction with
the so-called charge-carrying electron particle, which is also too ludicrous, because it implies
the electron as the charge carrier, and the charge itself is something different, which is also too a
conceptual abstraction, and completely ludicrous, this is where wisdom is so very important, and
nobody today uses that word, you never hear that word, if you do, it's like in some, you know,
casual half-arsed passing, like, yeah, you're not very wise, are you, you know, someone, you might hear
that, but no one ever talks about it, I mean, it's the most important thing that there is, the most,
like, well, that's your opinion, it's like, no, it's not my opinion, it's a fact, if kids were to learn
anything, they should learn the distinction between intelligence and wisdom, and you fill your head
full of a lot of facts, and you might be able to, by having the nature of a brilliant mind, or
developing a brilliant mind, say, that person's really smart, it's got a high IQ, it's like, yeah, he's also evil,
you know, he did unspeakable, you know, something horrific, all these people, you know, found with
their little manifestos, and their little cabins, you know who I'm talking about, there's several
people like that, there is, highly intelligent, I mean, he was a college professor, he's so intelligent,
everybody looked up to him, it's a shame that he, you know, did those horrific, unspeakable
lives, because they had no wisdom, these people's heads are full of facts, they're exactly, you know,
a great parallel, like, you know, the artificial intelligence of the matrix, or the Terminator,
these super, super collective intelligences, that have no wisdom at all, they're just linear data
binary processing entities, whether it be living or artificial, that is not wisdom, intelligence
never, by any implication, infers doing what is good, following natural order, humanity really
does suffer from that, that person's intelligent, here's what humanity really suffers from, they're
dead wrong, that person, the conclusion in short, that person is really, really smart, it's got a
high IQ, therefore, he must be a good person, or does what's right, intelligence never implies, in
any fashion whatsoever, to do what is right, to do what is good, to do, to follow natural order, to
emulate natural order, to emulate the good, or the one, it never has, intelligence is a collection of
facts, the assimilation thereof, the processing, and the speed of processing, no different than
the deep blue, who beat Garry Kasparov, I think that was a supercomputer, that beat Garry Kasparov
in chess, these are just linear binary probability information crunching, which of course is what
it's designed to do, learn the difference between intelligence and wisdom, intelligent people suffer
a curse, and that almost none of them have any wisdom, nor do they care about wisdom, I'm really
smart, it's like, yes you are, but also heard about the evil things you did to your, you know, bleep, bleep, bleep,
you know, the horrible evil persons, jail, or death row, for example, is full of, this is an undeniable
fact, highly intelligent creatures, I say creatures, only for the fact that they have no wisdom, they
have done unspeakable acts against and to humanity, and others, highly intelligent, I used to know a
jailer that worked death row, he came into a place that worked, I said, man, there's these two guys
on death row, so smart, so intelligent, you gotta be careful around them, they're so smart, but they're
evil, they have no wisdom, without wisdom, there's nothing, intelligence, intelligence is worldly,
wisdom, finish that sentence, I've already said what wisdom is, thanks so much for watching, I hope
this video at least gave you an insight into the distinction between episteme and gnosis,
intelligence and wisdom, thank you.
