Hi, my name is Matthew Hussey. Today I'm going to be telling you about the best places to
go on a date. So first, let's get out of the way some of those options that perhaps you
shouldn't do. Stuff like the cinema, stuff like restaurants, even just going for drinks.
Now they're not awful, awful options, but who wants to be eaten in front of each other
on a first date? Who wants to go to the cinema and watch a film where you can't build any
rapport? Drinks is not so bad, but at the same time it's kind of obvious, you know?
So what I want to do is talk about a couple of more outside the box options. So here's
the first one. Good place to go on a date is ask someone for ice cream. Instead of asking
them for coffee or for a drink, ask them for ice cream. It's simple, it's easy, and it's
slightly quirkier than the rest of the options. Second one is if there's a riverside in your
town or somewhere you can go where there's lots of options along the way, that's a really
good date. The reason is we have one of these in London along the embankment and you can
start on one side of the river, finish on the other. There's lots of bars and restaurants
along the way. You can dip in and out, go to one, go to another, and you've got a nice
view along the way. So the best dates are the ones that can last either 10 minutes or
five hours. So that's a great option. Another great option is comedy shows. Now comedy shows
are great because you're with someone. It's not quite like the cinema. Although you're
looking at something else, you're laughing and interacting and enjoying it during that.
And also any date is good when there's external focus. At dinner we're focusing on each other.
If we're at a comedy show, we're focusing on the show, we're having a good time, and
we can even go for a drink and chat about it afterwards. So go and try them for yourself
and let me know how you get on, and I will see you soon. For more tips and information
