Wembley, you quite enjoy this place, don't you?
It's not bad.
Do you want to get yourself a season ticket in yours?
It's a beautiful stadium. We come here and play big games, so I love it.
But big games need big players to produce big performances.
Is that the mindset you have whenever you walk out on the pitch, that I've got to deliver?
That's the mindset I have every time I play for this team.
We have so many big players in big positions.
My mindset every time I step out on the pitch is I've just got to produce one goal, one moment.
Today it only took one moment, sometimes it's more.
But today it was only one moment and that's what I do, I guess.
When you saw Pee coming on and you knew you were going to have a strike partner,
how did that make you feel?
Did it make you more confident that you were going to get the chances,
which wasn't occurring in the first half?
When you see someone like Peniela Harder coming on the field,
it doesn't matter where she's playing, she's a world-class player.
She's shown over the years why she's one of the best in the world.
She changed the game for us, of course.
But we have amazing players all over the field.
Guru played the ball to her, Pee.
Our defence today, Anne, was amazing.
So we have world-class players all over the pitch.
You're a backflipper. They said don't do it in case you get injured,
but you've got a few more games to go.
Yeah, I've copped a word from the physios because I've had a bad calf.
But the calf felt good today, so I thought I might cop it out.
You had a little bit of a calf pop, is that right?
Yeah, yeah.
Is it going to keep you out for Wednesday?
Hell no. I'll be playing Wednesday. You wait.
Yeah, definitely.
Do you feel like this pick has given you a side in the title race?
Do you think Manchester United could be affected by that?
I mean, I don't really think this game has any bearing on the league.
Obviously, confidence-wise, I'm not in their locker room.
I don't really know.
But they're a great team, and they've shown this year
that they're right up there for the title race.
So they've got two games left, we've got two games left,
and we'll just focus on ourselves like I'm sure they will themselves.
That third cup medal in a row, is it all the same?
No, they're getting harder. They're honestly getting harder.
I think now we've beat Arsenal City and Manchester United,
so it's nice to kind of beat all three,
and they've all been such different games.
But no, they're getting harder, and it's even more enjoyable winning them.
Most people look at you from the outside,
and what do you think is kind of inevitable that you score a winner?
Does it feel inevitable to you?
I mean, I have belief in myself that I only need one moment.
I think you saw that in the semi-final.
I just know that the team will provide, and as they put in the ball,
I think I have lots of confidence in myself.
So it might feel inevitable to other people,
but for me, it's just having belief and confidence in myself.
You've voted the football writers for player of the year for the second consecutive year.
What do you want to say to them who voted for you?
Oh, I mean, thank you very much.
I'm very honoured to win that award.
I think maybe people weren't as happy about it,
but you know what?
Every big game I'm here, and I think a lot of people still doubt me
no matter how many goals I score, no matter how much I do for the team,
no matter how many big games I score, people always doubt me,
and that kind of fired me up today.
So thank you very much to the people that voted for me.
I could not do it without an amazing team, and it's a very humbling award,
and Emma tells me all the time how much of an amazing award it is,
so I'm very proud to win it.
And how are you all going to celebrate your win tonight?
Santa, unfortunately.
No, I mean, I'm sure we're going back to see our families now.
They're the people that make it all possible for us to perform
and celebrate a little bit, but we have training tomorrow, unfortunately.
So we've got to train and get back on the park.
Is it going to be hard for you to switch off from this win
and to go back to your Women's Super League,
or will that sort of give you the confidence and enthusiasm
to just keep going and winning this league?
Yeah, I think it's the confidence, honestly.
I think you saw after the Barcelona defeat, we switched back pretty quickly,
get back on the horse and train again and get ready.
And the beauty of it, there's two weeks left in the season,
so every game's a final now for us, so it's exciting.
Sam, but finally, can you describe how good this team is
and how good it is to be a part of this team?
Oh, it's an absolute dream to be a part of this team.
I mean, I look around, everyone's a world-class player.
We have like six or seven captains of national teams,
and every day in training there's some amazing stuff being done.
So it's a tough environment to be a part of.
Everyone deserves a start, so it's not easy,
but that's what drives us to be the best team,
that everyone's fighting for a spot.
