Welcome to Vialand one of the best theme park in Turkey! This theme park is located in Istanbul and has everything you can expect from a great amusement park like roller coasters, dark rides, good theming and more.
My personal highlight was for sure the Nefeskesen roller coaster which goes from 0 to 110 km/h in less than 3 seconds. Even if that coaster was a little bit short, it had everything I am looking for in a thrill ride from speed to hight and inversions.
The two dark rides were also very nicely done with animatronics and fun theming. Special mention for the It's a small world ride or should I say, It's NOT a small world. As Disney fans, this was truly a highlight.

So we've been in Turkey for almost a five week exploring the culture, the food, its history,
but today we are recording ourselves a little kid day and this is why we came to Vienna.
Okay, I have to say, first impression, this is much better,
much larger, much cooler than my expectation.
It's fantastic.
Oh yeah, it's just a small theme park like in the middle of Istanbul.
I mean, look at this.
That's crazy.
It is great.
And somehow we are starting with the largest ride in the entire place.
You're not coming on the largest roller coaster in Turkey?
No.
Are you ready?
No, I'm not ready for you.
Tracy is more scared than I am.
It's going to be just fine.
Here we go.
One, two, three.
Ride is crazy.
One of the best roller coasters I've done in a long time.
I forgot to present you Berk.
Yeah, it's like an Italian word.
B-E-R-K.
For me, it sounds like Berk, but Berk.
Yeah, Berk, Berk.
I'll keep practicing.
We still have a lot of time.
So he's going to take us around VLN today.
Tell us all about this beautiful park and be my roller coaster buddy
because Tracy doesn't want to come with me.
So up next to Justice Tower and I would love to tell you the name in Turk,
but it's quite complicated with my accent to tell you.
So Justice Tower, it's a 55 meter drop tower.
And that's another ride that Tracy is going to stay behind the camera.
Now it's real tight.
55 meters up.
That takes a little bit.
But from what I heard, you come back much faster.
Let's enjoy the views.
Apparently, this is the best seat for the views.
So little does Dave know behind the scenes
that we get to decide when they're going to drop.
So I'm not just even hanging up there.
Okay, they're at the top.
Yeah, they're in the top.
Okay.
It's quite beautiful in here.
But I feel like any second now...
Drop.
Oh, that was fast.
Why do I do that to myself as an adult?
I don't know.
Kind of like it though.
Tracy, you missed out on some beautiful views
of Istanbul and the rest of the park.
Do you regret it?
Just FYI, he doesn't know what happened until he edits it.
So he's still oblivious.
Apparently, there's a funny clip before this one,
but I'm not allowed to watch it.
I make a lot of fun about Tracy when she doesn't come on rides,
but there's one type of ride that I really hate personally.
And it's the spinny one.
There's this one that spins like this and like this at the same time.
And there's another one which is like...
We have one like that in Canada called the Tornado.
It just like spins you like that.
That's...
Yeah, I don't want to be in a washing machine.
I'm not sure how I was able to convince Tracy.
I don't know how you were either.
Tracy's gonna come on this roller coaster,
which might not look very big for some of you guys.
But trust me, it is a good roller coaster.
I think it's gonna be great.
I'm so proud.
I'm equating it to the Incredicoaster.
And I actually enjoyed the Incredicoaster.
Fair enough, fair enough.
So that's where I'm going.
I'm so nervous now.
You got this.
It's always when it comes straight up to it.
And the front too.
My legs go...
Yeah, but there's less pull in the front.
Here we go, Tracy.
The problem is the GoPro is on the hand I normally hold.
Oh no.
Oh no, other hand.
Okay, you can hold air.
Here we go, Tracy.
Here we go.
Don't do that.
You make me anticipate.
This is so bad.
I don't like it.
Eee-wee!
You did it.
Berk said he had the doctors on standby for Tracy, but she's good.
Okay, what's the name of this one again in Turk?
Fatih'in Rüyası.
Fatih's dream in English.
Yeah, but we can translate like dreams of conqueror.
Okay, the dreams of conquerors.
Yeah.
I can pronounce this one.
Yeah, okay.
Teaming in the queue.
I'm a big fan of that.
So this one is the most expensive ride that they have at VLN.
I'm very excited.
It has a little bit of a Pirates of the Caribbean from Disney kind of feel.
Are you scared, Tracy?
It's a little spooky.
That was pretty good.
I mean, lots of animatronics, some light and sound effects and stuff.
Like, I'm impressed.
So I'm not gonna lie, I feel so old right now.
Theme parks are for everyone, but throughout the week,
there's actually a lot of schools that come in as like a class trip,
which is a great class trip in my opinion.
But today there's about 2,000 kids here on class trips.
And like, I'm gonna say max, this is pushing it max age like 16.
So we feel a little old right now.
Also at that age, I guess a lot of people want to be a YouTuber.
We're learning this because everyone sees the camera
and then all the kids are coming up and being like,
what's your YouTube channel?
So we're getting a lot of subscribers today too.
So what Tracy meant is that basically we do feel old,
but really cool at the same time.
Now that we've done most of the big ride,
by we, I mean me, not Tracy.
Tracy was filming.
Time for lunch.
You ready to review the Viking burgers?
So ready.
It's advertised everywhere, so that's what I'm getting.
Okay, Viking burger.
We got fries, we got a lemonade, which is really good.
But I have to say,
it was very long.
So let's see if it's worth it.
Best burger I ever had?
No.
But is it a good theme park burger?
Yes.
It's actually pretty decent.
Looking at the bun,
I thought it was gonna be a little dry,
but I shouldn't have.
Turkey does the best bread.
Bun's very soft.
Tracy, fry review?
Solid 6 out of 10.
Just need a little bit more salt,
but it's not bad for a theme park fry.
So lunch was really good,
but literally like 50 meters from where we had our burger,
there's an actual Burger King.
So if you prefer like a good old American chain,
you can go there.
To be fair, I actually really enjoyed my burger.
There was nothing wrong with the Viking burger.
Since we arrived this morning,
I was wondering what's the name of like their mascot?
And it's Captain Gaga.
That's what it is.
So there's actually a ton of different restaurants here within the park,
so it doesn't have to be the burger place.
There's a little bistro and cafe behind me.
And entering this area,
it looks as though there's a little show area as well.
Something that is an extra ticket.
But behind me, there's even an adventure park.
So more of like physical challenges,
kind of like obstacle courses and rock climbing,
that type of thing.
Oh, there's even pizza.
It's really cool.
There's a section of the park
where it's kind of a replica of the streets of Istanbul.
They even have like the street food and the little store.
It's really cool.
Tracy, like that's the perfect roller coaster for you.
It is.
They have a really cool like kids section.
Like it's super colorful and like just cartoonish.
And they have a go-kart track,
but I think I'm too old to go on it,
which is very sad.
Next up is like a small world.
The name of the ride is not,
it's like a small world.
It's a mini cassifleur.
But it feels like a small world,
like at Disney, I think.
This is definitely like a small world.
It's even like separated per country.
Like right now we're in Japan
and I think this is Hawaii.
Cool.
Hollywood.
I'm in LA.
I think this is supposed to be Canada.
A whole bunch of snow.
No, there's a flag there.
It has penguins.
Oh, it's Iceland.
That's Egypt.
You got the pyramids in the back.
Hey, Tracy, that's Turkey.
Oh, here's London.
Welcome to England.
Even the song is like very similar to like a small world.
Oh, was that a photo?
We'll see.
It's a small world after all.
So while that was cute and fun,
I'm sad Canada wasn't in it.
We didn't make the cut.
I really don't understand
why there's like zero weight for that ride.
It's a good ride.
You know who would love that ride?
Your mother.
Myrna would love that.
Myrna would love that ride
because she loves It's a Small World at Disney.
It's basically the same thing with a different song.
Yeah.
Good ride.
Tracy and I are back in the back and forward
between her and I for the you can do it.
No, I can't.
You can do it.
No, I can't.
Part of the conversation.
It wouldn't be a theme park without this conversation.
That is very true.
So like Viking is the water coaster.
There's like one small drop.
Tracy calls it a very big drop.
It's a very moderate drop.
So we're going to start with the river rapid as a warm up
so Tracy can think about the Viking.
Time for our first what ride?
River ride?
Exciting.
Here we go.
Let's hope we don't get too wet.
It's spinning.
Tracy, it's barely spinning.
You got it.
This is Tracy having a lot of fun.
She loves spinning.
Maybe it's worse that we're both on one side.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Just a little bit of cold water.
Not on my side.
No, no, no, no, no.
Cold.
Best ride ever.
Are you ready for the massive drop at the end?
There's no drop.
We're just going back to the station.
At first, I was like, am I going to get soaked in the last like five seconds?
I don't think Tracy and I have ever been alone on a ride like this.
Not a lot of multiple rides.
Oh, yeah, I swear.
So we learned something.
If you're both on the same side, it's spinning extra, extra.
So just disperse yourselves.
Tracy chickened out, but I'm going to let her have this one
because she did another actual roller coaster earlier.
So I'm very proud of her.
But just be careful, Tracy.
They eat a lot of chicken burgers around here
and you don't want to be turned into a chicken burger.
Let's get ready to get wet on the Viking.
I'm about 20 years older than everyone in this boat.
I was kind of expecting one drop,
but I think there's more than one drop, at least two for sure.
And because apparently I'm not wet enough,
we're going to do it again.
A bigger one this time.
I'm very wet.
It was insane.
There was two drops.
The second one's bigger than the first one.
It was fun.
It's really nice.
But extra wet.
You need to go dry off.
I'm thinking about it.
Yeah, you're like bring out your clothes sweat.
Of course we have to check out the merch.
Tracy, time to get back in our hotel.
Get in.
So the theme park itself is actually connected to a massive mall and a hotel.
So you could make like a full weekend pretty much out of this area.
Well, ViaLand exceeded my expectation.
I didn't know much about the park before coming.
I just saw a couple of photos online.
As soon as I arrived, I went through the castle.
First of all, the theming is like really cool.
When we were up and saw the entire park, I was like, okay, it's much bigger than I expected.
And that's what I think I really enjoyed about the theming.
Is you can tell that they didn't cheapo.
Like it's very, very well maintained.
And if you're coming as a family, there's something here for everyone.
For like a little tiny kid's land.
To like me who doesn't really like coasters.
To you who loves coasters.
Like there's something there for everyone.
And we didn't even do all the rides.
There's some like 5D movies and some spinny rides that I personally don't want to do either.
And there's like an active park too that you can add on.
So I think it's worth it.
There's different price brackets.
But like basically like the cheapest ticket to just get into the park.
Have access to the rides and everything is like 60 USD a person.
I think it's like an okay value.
If you come here and like spend the entire day here.
I think you and your family are going to have fun.
Even if you don't have kids, just come.
I think so.
We don't have and we have a lot of fun.
So anyway.
I always love going to a theme park.
And maybe we're going to start doing that in every single country that we go.
Because I'm a child.
It's not really travel content but kind of.
It's something you enjoy.
Let us know if you want to see that.
And until next time.
See you guys in the next one.
