how are you today we are going to see a
technique called negatives I think
this is a very good technique for
those who are starting out in
watercolor so that they understand more or less
how the layers are worked in the video
Previously I told you more or less but
here we see it in a little more detail and
I am going to try to make more
specific videos so that you
understand and it does not cost you so much
work here what I am doing
is preparing my color if I
recommend In this case, they prepare it
in a round and have quite a lot of
color because we are going to need it
above all so that they have the same
color and there is no difference when they
are already putting it on their palette, my first
color, that is, the most credit I have. The one I will
use is going to be purple and precisely
with these here I am using a gray and a
blue and I am going to use them to start
darkening my purple when I need
a paper that is more or less 260 to
300 grams so that I can water them first. What
we are going to do is put a
super light layer with our first color and
if you notice it is almost because the color has been florit
but once it dries the truth
is that it is going to fade a lot but
this will help us to see how the
first flat the second plane but there is
a discount that first they have to
put everything is a base practically with
water everything is nice to let it dry it is
very important that they let it dry completely and
not despair and once it is dry
super dry they start doing some
figurines here I am going to choose to make
like some little plants but you can
choose, I don't know, circles, triangles, you can
make kittens alone here it doesn't
matter much which figure you choose the
joke since
if you put one and behind another and
behind that other it is very important that
At least here they do have knowledge of
what the first shot is, the second shot,
this one could have said it, but what I didn't
want was that this video would take longer
because, well, then they get bored to
death, but hey, if you have any
questions about what the second shot is like. or third
plane and we can leave it like that but
well, just so that you understand me
faster, it's one on top of the other and that
other on top of the other and well, that's how they
make their figurines, the truth is that
it's something very easy, it's just that it's like They
build, they concentrate very well on
not getting lost, that is the only thing I
recommend but it is really very easy and
here we go with the magic because what they
are going to do is that you already have more
or less what your foreground is going to be, I
already know that my first little leaves are the ones
that are not behind the others because if you
notice there are some little leaves that are like in the
back so those are the ones that I am going to
paint and the ones that I am not going to paint are the ones
that are in the foreground so it is
super important treasures that in this
first step if they are well trout or
done well concentrated
on not painting
the leaves or the figures that are not
then when I am going to paint I am going to
darken a little or in this case I am going
to grab a little more pigment
In this case, 8 was purple and I am going to
spread all the paint on what is
in this case the second plane, I am going to
be doing that.
Remember again, do not touch the little leaves
that remain in the foreground. It is very, very
important like this. that
they paint everything everything except the leaves that
are left there at the beginning so to speak
on that same layer so that
nothing else is noticeable just like just a completely
flat layer they can add a little more
texture as here you see and this one and no
nothing happens, they let it dry super super well and
here obviously it had to be me
people look now I'm recording it but don't
panic it's exactly the same
in the first in the first step we didn't
paint the ones that were in the foreground
in the second
in exactly the same They don't touch either the
first or the second leaves, I hope
my aunts don't understand they exist, but
well, maybe we do see it more of
this understandable, but well, that's how they go,
treasures, that's all, everything, all they have to
do is just respect the leaves
that they have. For me it is already in the first in the
second here we are going with the thirds and
this begins to serve so that you
begin to understand the
depth and that it does not look super flat
in this case it is still just my
little purple I have not added any
blue thing, well, no blue color
is the only one that is purple and remember that
as I told you in the first video it is
only about grabbing more pigment and
so be it,
painting each little hole you have to
be super super patient, yes, above
all, the Time to let it dry is very very
very important because if you don't let it dry
the most likely thing is that some very
ugly puddles will form and you won't be able to see where
they were as limiting the color so be
patient treasures and look here it is and
now it is already Let's go with the
darkest and here I already put a little
blue so that my purple obviously gets
darker and I'm going to start
painting and imitating the leaves that
I shouldn't touch and I think that here I would be
doing more like the background background background
good still new the background background but
good so that you understand more or less
how it works remember something that is
going to happen to you is that perhaps as you
put the watercolor your sketch will be lost
but not that there is no need to panic It
is normal, another thing that I recommend
is that you do not abuse watercolor
because otherwise every time you are going
to put a layer and then another layer if it is
very pasty, that is, if
your watercolor is very thick, it is most likely that at the same time It's
time to put on the next layer
and I throw them away and we don't want that too,
that's why it's super important to let
it dry super super well, so this
is an exercise in patience so they
shouldn't be as fast as it is, also
something that I always recommend. In
this exercise or in any other exercise, patience is what you need to
be patient and you will
see that your results are going to be the most
beautiful. Above all, in this
exercise you have to be patient in
respecting, for example, the
leaves or any figure that you have. You are
going to make sure that it doesn't take hold of you
like desperation and whatever is
sacred,
so well, I recommend that,
as you see, here you can see a little more
about what the leaves are
and up to the front, those that are behind and
those that are to the back and in this case I am
going to put my last layer that
now if the background background in this case
mix what was the gray, the blue and the
purple and as I had mentioned there were
parts where there is already graphite it was no longer
visible then Their hats have to come out
again and so start the
experiment. You start making your
figurines because if they are erased, you
have to improvise. They won't go the same way,
painting their background little by little and
limiting how the shapes and patients like that are
now just teeth.
The truth is that this exercise is very,
very useful. I used it when I
taught classes and the truth is
that the girls, well I say girls
because they were always girls to whom I
spoke about this, they really liked this
exercise and the ideas. Then they
finish, the truth is that they were very
good. I remember a lot of a girl who
made like
some bamboos and they turned out very
cool.
The joke here, too, is that they
only use one color for how to do
all their painting or illustration and above
all So that you can understand that
part, I want to explain to you little
by little and also in the future how to
mix colors and that whole show. That's why I'm
taking it out a little with my eyes. I
see it well. I'm going to take it out, but
above all, because for people
who are starting out and even this
exercise is for people who already use
watercolor and can get things like
super cool and personally I
really like this exercise I think it can
get a lot of juice out of it and you can do
as your things and well, this is how it looks
ending like all the layers as you
can see if you can see what it is like in
depth which ones are from the foreground
second plane third plane
which one is nothing to the bottom the background
but so that they don't look melted
right now what I'm going to do What to do is to work,
whether it's like each leaf and the shadow of
each leaf. In this case, if you
made like other types of figurines, it doesn't
matter. You can also work on it now. It
would depend a lot on
your creativity and how you
solve it, but hey, you guys. I already
wanted to show you this video because well
this technique because I think it is very very
very easy to do and for those who are just
starting out and I repeat it again it is a
very very good exercise and I think that with
this exercise grabbing then the
wave how is it that works with watercolor and
layers and so you will get
used to how it works so
well, you know that like in every
video I hope that it has really
helped you and that you put it into practice, you
know that you can leave me here your
comments anything
I will be trying to upload more videos
like small tutorials you know you
can visit me on my instagram and you
can also tag me to see your
work the truth is that I
really like to see your work and you know if
I show you the video subscribe Like and
see you in the next video,
thank you very much for stopping by
