Wait.. This Display is a FULL PC?! - Asus ZenScreen Smart Monitor with Google TV

This is a ZenScreen Smart from our sponsor Asus and it packs in so many features into a display which is not just the display while coming in at a very affordable price. Not only is it a monitor for your computer but it can actually work by itself paired with a keyboard and a mouse. You can watch all sorts of entertainment and you have access to over 10,000 apps, access to games, so you can use it by itself without a computer connected. It also has some really cool other software built into it which I'll cover in just a little bit but looking at the design it is modern, it is minimalistic, it has this woven fabric from two-tone knitted yarn, gives a nice little contrast at the front. It also features Harman Kardon speakers built into it. We have this metal base for the stand. Of course you have some adjustability with the stand and it is nice and slim so you can push it against your wall but on the back we have this thicker portion right here and the nice thing is that you don't have to have a fat power brick on your floor. The power supply is built into it and that thicker bottom side actually works as a shelf to hold your remote, your keyboard, and your mouse so you can kind of put it back there then it's working as a smart TV without having all the extras out so that is really nice. Also on the back we have our ports and as you guys can see we have an HDMI 2.0, we have a USB Type-C port for your DisplayPort connection so you can connect with one cable to my laptop and you'll get the signal and it will charge your laptop with 96 watts of charging which is really nice. Now you also have some USB ports and we have a headphone output. I like that Asus gives you both an HDMI and a USB-C cable right in the box and you get this smart remote. Now here you have your shortcuts to Netflix, YouTube, Apps button because this is using Google TV so you can download a crazy amount of different apps so you have a lot of different customization what you could do with it. I've used a few other smart displays in the past and I will say having Android TV built into it with Google makes it super easy and convenient and gives you all those different apps. Now that also makes setting up so easy. I literally just took out my phone scanned it and then did the setup from my phone and I could just log in and because I already use Google services I'm logged in and ready. So in just a few minutes I am set up and then when I go to YouTube BAM I have all my stuff pre-ready. You don't have to log into a ton of different apps and that is so nice. Now this also has voice control so I can hold this down and I could say open YouTube music BAM it's already running automatically or of course I can just hit my home button and then you see all your apps recommendations so I can open up YouTube music right here which I love using YouTube music. Right away I have different recommendations, things I've saved, open Netflix. I can use my voice to just open up Netflix right here and watch. You can use your voice to open up different apps so all of that is built in and it's just so easy and simple to use. Another great thing unlike other operating systems is that you can have multiple accounts that you can set up so you can switch between different people all your apps customizations. You can even have a child account that they can use so that is awesome and I just love how easy it is. You have all your suggestions you can toggle which apps it can actually look through and suggest content make your own playlists and even going into the settings over here the Android TV operating system is running makes it super easy very minimalistic I would say while still having all of your features because some operating systems for TVs they're just so bloated there's so much different settings it's so confusing which this is nice and easy and of course you can control it all from your app as well on your phone. And with that you can also play games on this screen without needing a computer so that is really cool. Now as far as the actual screen itself this is a 4k panel 27 inches and it also supports 99% sRGB for color accuracy it also supports HDR with VESA display HDR 400 certification and of course those dual 5 watt Harman Kardon speakers go ahead and take a listen. And now I have it plugged into my Mac with USB type C and the crazy thing is I pair this keyboard mouse to the display not to my Mac but it is actually working to control my computer. Now you can also stream to it wirelessly with Chromecast as well as Miracast built in and one super cool feature is that you can control multiple devices so if I go into my settings here they have a feature that is called multi-view so let's go ahead and turn that on and here you can see my computer is connected on one side and then if your phone supports Miracast or your download app you can actually have your phone on the other side and control both with one keyboard and mouse. They also have another cool feature called the multi-platform streamer let's open this up now I don't stream myself but when you have your computer connected to this display you can actually use this to stream at the same time to YouTube there's Facebook Twitch other platforms you can actually have multiple cameras connected so if you have a webcam on here or another camera all that can get put together using this smart display and streaming out to the world so you can instantly go from using a you know one of these apps to going in and switching over to say USB type C where I have my Mac connected right now or instantly click a button bam you're opening up YouTube or just using your voice so this is the ultimate kind of setup where you have everything in one a cool design great price lots of features built into one display so instead of just having a regular monitor you can have everything all in one so it's really cool to see these new monitors having so much packed into them a lot of flexibility not only something that's used for one thing like your computer so if you guys are interested check out the links down below go ahead and click that circle about to subscribe check out one of those videos right over there this has been Max and I'll see you in the next one
