The teachers were good I'm not gonna lie, but they don't care about the students have the same English level, you know, that's the problem So they didn't stop they continue in their classes and if you can get something good for you, but if you don't They don't care. So I passed all my English levels, but when I finished my career my English level was about 40 45 percent and I felt very bad for it. I'm sweating That look my pimple. Next I had my first formal job as an engineer and boom Welcome to the reality, even if you got the better grades at university, but you don't speak English You're never gonna find a good job position. It is true Even knowing all this I started to looking for a better job But I always stayed in the last line because of my English level and the truth is I started to feel depressed because you always think oh when I will finish my Career, I'm gonna find a good job and I'm gonna travel around the world and I'm gonna be wealthy and I'm gonna have Everything and then the life says hey shut up. Anyway without a list of all my mind I decided to enroll at English Institute two years ago, but now with a new mindset, you know Now with a new vision, no one was forcing me I decided to have a better life watching videos and series 100% in English with English subtitles Basically, I started doing things right for the first time and when you do things, right the results begin to pay off Life rule. Okay the first year I was very focused on grammar all the grammar tenses simple present simple past simple future Next one day continuous or progressive tenses plus I started the conditionals the imperative some first adverbs Part of the speech, you know all grammar. I studied one hour a day Without exception. Okay, at least one hour a day because there were days when I spent one two Three or four hours studying grammar. Okay moving on the second year I decided to study listening and reading it was when I started to watch a lot of American youtubers Plus I watched a lot of Netflix series all of them 100% in English with English subtitles always and what else I have only read three English books Because the American literature is so confusing Last year, I was reading a poetry book and I don't get it. You know, I don't understand nothing Nothing at all, and I have stopped practicing my reading I know but on the other hand, there are many books that I can understand it So I keep learning and finally in this year. I have been focusing on speaking Speaking for me as an English learner is one of the most difficult things. Okay, that's personal So I enrolled for an online tag group called italki and to be honest, it was helpful You know, I made new friends and I started to speaking with other people around the world Basically, I started to demand myself to speak English and I'm not gonna lie It has been very hard for me But you have to get out of your comfort zone because you encourage yourself to be a better person than yesterday No worries, if you make mistakes That's okay. Keep trying and along with all of this I have been taking English classes just like a regular student You know, I go to the school. I carry my books. I have classmates. I learn from my teachers Basically, I complement my personal desire to speak English with my school I've been learning English for two years and half so I need to improve I know I know but I'm trying I'm trying and for now My next goal is to be able to take a course abroad Maybe like Canada or USA, you know, I need to stay in another country where the English is the first language So I hope to achieve it in the next years Finally, I want to share with you the best advice that one teacher gave me In fact, I wrote it down you never finish to learn English never ever Okay, you're always learning new phrases new words new phrasal verbs new idioms.
