Every year on the third weekend in the month of May,
the Baroque Jewel City of Noto turns into a huge festival featuring foods, exhibitions, performances,
and the biggest attraction, the hand-created fresh flower bed.
The beautiful gate of Ferdinand, the entrance to the City of Noto.
Before you enter the city through the gate, there are probably about 200 booths
full of all types of products.
Can't have a festival without street foods, of course, cannoli.
They said, come on in here so you can get a better film.
Bronte, the famous Bronte.
Oh, these guys are so funny.
Come and try it, come here to Noto.
So you come here and then have a little street food before you go in.
It's endless here.
Plenty of nuts and sweets and all types of fun stuff here.
These are wood products made out of olive trees, all handmade.
Very cool.
There's even one shaped like Sicily.
Behold the beautiful Cathedral in Noto, in the Baroque style, of course.
Via Corrado Nicolacci, one of the most elegant streets in the city,
is entirely decorated with hand-created flowerbed images.
Florists are given a topic each year, and this year it was the 20th anniversary
of UNESCO adopting eight late Baroque cities in the Valley di Noto.
They are Calta Gironi, Noto, Ragusa, Catania, Cicli, Modica, Palazzo Accredi,
and Militello Val di Catania.
Visitors line up on both sides of the street and walk along a rooftop area,
admiring each stunning work of art after another.
This one is Palazzo Accredi, this one is Santa Domenico, Calta Gironi, Ragusa, San Gregorio.
Once you've looked at the flowers,
you can walk around the city and enjoy all the beauty and activities.
And here's a tent for the Guarda di Finanza.
This is the oldest uniform here, and this is the official Guarda di Finanza uniform.
The city is so great, bursting with Baroque.
Everywhere you go, there's something going on in the city today.
It's so great to see.
Liquors, even a beer garden.
Yum.
Testa di More made in Calta Gironi.
Look at this beautiful shop in here, full of ceramics.
Look at this, splendid colors.
They have a shop.
They have a shop in Calta Gironi, and also a laboratory.
And this one is in Notto.
Seriously, haven't seen this many people here in Notto in two years.
But it's the same thing everywhere we've been going.
Over here in this tent, they have all the uniforms of the Carabinieri.
This one is 1970.
1814.
Look at this beautiful uniform.
Old police car, check this out.
These pistachio cakes are just beautiful.
And here's some cheesecakes, too.
