We know our food system needs to change, but we’re missing a positive vision for the future. Regenerative agriculture could be part of that hopeful solution. But what is it, really?
In this new FoodUnfolded documentary, science journalist Silvia Lazzaris takes us on a journey around the world to find out. From Ernst Gotsch’s lush syntropic farm in Bahia, Brazil—where once-barren land has been transformed into a thriving ecosystem—to Juntos Farm in Ibiza, where regenerative farming is strengthening communities, viewers will see the movement in action. But we don’t stop there––Silvia dives deeper, speaking with leading soil health and agroecology experts to examine if and how regenerative agriculture can truly deliver on its promises.
Farming, Redefined is a groundbreaking documentary that invites you to imagine a future for agriculture grounded in restoration, education, and a healthier planet for generations to come.

we already know that our food system is
broken we won't grow enough food if we
keep farming the way we're farming today
the idea that somehow we would be able
to continue farming as we are and feed
ourselves it's like complete fiction
right in the meantime more than half of
the top so of the world has gone I think
we're lacking like a positive story for
what the future might look like but
there's a solution that many are
starting to talk about regenerative
agriculture regenerative agriculture
regenerative agriculture regenerative
agriculture
pry regenerative farming meaning that
when you farm you're actually leaving
the land and environment in a better
State than before you're
farming I'm trying to convince people
that they should work together in age
and not against nature the technology of
nature is so far superior than anything
man-made but what is regenerative
agriculture really probably the most
difficult question you could ask because
regenerative agriculture is not
uniformly defined throughout Western
Europe or even not in the world then how
can we be sure that it's not just
another term used to do greenwashing
terms for Ecology are being appropriated
by those great Enterprises who which
often do the contrary of what those
terms they have have been created my
fear for regenerative is that before it
has a chance to be taken seriously and
to be sort of established um with proper
Frameworks and processes that it's
overused to the point where consumers
lose their trust in that term part of
the solution is not about fixing the
food system it's about fixing how we
live our lives our job is to ask the
toughest questions Beyond prejudices and
ideology for over a year we've been
traveling the world and speaking with
dozens of the most respected experts on
the topic academics Farmers policy
makers and those who have dedicated
their lives to this cause the goal is to
understand if and how this solution is
really viable because we don't have many
shots at solving these issues so we
better get it
