Hey guys, so we have updated the shower faucet and shower head in our rig and
now we want a bathroom faucet.
So I'm going to show you quickly how easy it is to change the faucet in your rig in case you want to try it too.
So we bought a Dura faucet. It's a brushed satin nickel
faucet. And the reason why I chose this one is
first of all, it matches the one that we just bought for the shower.
So we like the look of it and the styling.
But the reason I chose this specific model because they have several that kind of match this styling is to have the taller spout.
You might notice like on the current one
it's really low and I just I find it makes it hard for us to get our hands into the sink to wash really well
because it doesn't stick out very far. It's just a bit awkward.
So I wanted something a little bit taller just to have that extra space.
So let's get started.
We need to relieve the pressure. So the water pump is off and we're gonna relieve the pressure and
you'll notice we have quite a bit of water in the lines.
So we're gonna let that drain because if we didn't do that
then as soon as I tried to unscrew the water lines
we would get a bit of a fountain. Next thing you're gonna want to do is make sure that any drains are covered.
So we've closed the lid on the toilet.
We've put down a towel in the shower stall and we're gonna put the plug in the sink
so that in the event that I drop anything
I'm not gonna accidentally lose it down a drain into the gray tank or black tank because that would just be gross.
I could remove my panel, but the sink
faucets are all the way up here. So I'm gonna turn
these to open them.
So as it turns out our water was not as drained as it should have been so I've come out here to our outdoor kitchen
to drain the rest.
If you're draining from a lower point
might be a good idea.
I removed this inside panel just so that we could actually
really see what's going on in here and so that we could put down a towel just in case there's any more drips.
So I've removed the two water lines and now I just have to loosen
the little gaskets here that hold the faucet onto the countertop.
Okay
So now that's off I'm gonna give this a little bit of a clean.
Now all that's left to do is just screw this with our
gaskets onto the back side of the counter here and then we'll reattach
tighten once I get it into place. Looking pretty sharp.
All right, let's just get it centered here.
I'm pretty happy with that so I'm gonna hold that and then just tighten it. Okay, so that's now tightened and then I just have to
reattach the water lines and do a leak test.
It's all screwed on so I'm gonna turn on the water pump
and that's gonna kind of pressurize the system and I'm gonna look under here
for any leaking and dripping. I'm gonna let it sit for a good minute
with pressure just to make sure that I'm really
satisfied that there's no leaking and then we'll even turn on the water and show you how it works.
So the water pump has pressurized.
I'm still happy. I don't see any drips. So let's test it.
That's pretty good. I'm happy.
