Hello there guys, welcome back to my channel Travel Wonderful. Hello my wonderful people,
how are you? I am super excited as in today's videos I'm visiting an incredible European city
as it is Dubrovnik located in Croatia, a very incredible city as it is a UNESCO World Heritage
Site because of its medieval architecture. So in this video I'm going to be showing you some of
the best landmarks you can visit coming here for a day. Basically we took a tour which is from Split,
it took us four hours pretty much, three hours and a half, four hours to come here,
so I'm going to show you what it's like to be one day in Dubrovnik. Remember to subscribe to
the channel if you like this video and remember to leave a comment below. Enjoy the video,
travel wonderful. Known as the Pool of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is one of the world's finest
and best preserved medieval cities. With its pristine location in Croatia on the Adriatic Sea,
Dubrovnik Old Town is filled with the steep cobbled lanes, renaissance fountains, monasteries
and palaces, definitely a must visit when coming to Croatia. So we started this tour actually very
early in the morning from Split, we went to the meeting point at 6.45 in the morning and
we left around 7 in the morning to Split, from Split and we arrived to Dubrovnik by bus
roughly 10.30 in the morning, so yeah that's three hours and a half of trip. Something I got to tell
you guys and it's very important because it happened to us that we didn't know we have to
bring our passport, so yeah if you do any tour towards Dubrovnik make sure you bring your
passport. I mean usually I keep my passport on a safe when I stay in a hotel because I'm scared
to lose it, but yeah it happened to us that we didn't know about this, we were not told
that we need to bring the passport and the reason why is because we go to the border usually in this
tour, the border of Bosnia and then pass to Dubrovnik, so because of me and my friend actually
they had to change the route of the tour and come straight to Dubrovnik rather than going to
the border of Bosnia as well, so yeah that happened to us. So well from the moment we
arrived to Dubrovnik they explain you like a few things like which ones are like the most
important landmarks, like for example the walls of the old town which date back to the 16th century
and you can tell why it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, I mean the medieval architecture is just wow
it's very very impressive and yeah from this moment we got four hours of free time to explore
Dubrovnik, so yeah let's have a look what we find in one day here pretty much in Dubrovnik.
I don't know even where to begin, I mean we went past the medieval old town walls that date back
to the 16th century, we didn't enter yet but we will and then we enter to this beautiful church
in the old town as well, I mean everywhere you look at it's not only full of people but
full of beautiful architecture and beautiful buildings, really really nice, here we got sort
of like a small market of people selling things. By the way we were told by the guide that actually
Dubrovnik in his opinion and experience is one of the most expensive cities
in Croatia, he said probably double than Split, in my opinion I didn't find Split expensive
and well so far I haven't seen much of the prices of the things here in Dubrovnik but
I will be letting you know about that. So my friend has ordered a nice coffee,
a smoothie, an espresso, all of that came up to 14 euros so yeah it is definitely
expensive, much more than Split at least, so but yes we really needed some coffee,
yeah we have seen actually some places selling burgers for like 20 euros or even more so yeah
I would say it's hard to find like bargains like where to eat especially in the very
center of the city, but what can you do. It is also very important to note that Dubrovnik has
served as film locations for many important series such as the successful series Caves of
Thrones, The Last Jedi, Star Wars and Robin Hood Origins so you can tell why because it's extremely
stunning. In fact this staircase which I just walked through in the previous scene is where it
was the design of the Walk of Shame in the Game of Thrones series so that's why a lot of people
come here and take pictures. This staircase became even more popular after the HBO series Games of
Thrones. Not far from the staircase we got the Church of St. Ignatius which dates back to the
beginning of the 18th century and formed part of the Jesuit college which was to become the Dubrovnik
University. Baroque in design it is located at the top of the staircase leading from the main
boulevard consisting of a single nave with a number of side chapels beautifully decorated
with frescoes and it also contains a man-made cave dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes.
It is very important to know that if you go down within the walls of the old town you can find
actually built-in cafes here in all this rock infrastructure which is really really cool and
if you go even more down you got these beautiful views of the city and you can see people has
managed to find a nice spot for swimming and enjoying these incredible views. So up there we
got the bars that I was saying you know within the walls of the old town really really nice
really nice perspective really nice view such a beautiful beautiful city Dubrovnik. I'm really
really impressed in a very positive way. There are also activities of people where you can do
kayaking you've got boat tours around and within these rocks I've seen people jumping into the sea
but even though I think that's a bit risky a bit risky so you can see people is coming
climb the rocks and then they jump into the sea and they fall over there but if they think it's
fun fair enough for them I think it's a bit you know dangerous. Apart from the main street you
got all these little narrow sidewalks these cobblestone streets alleys they are just amazing
they are very unique and the most important thing is that if you go through them you don't have as
many people as in the main street so really really nice spot to take pictures videos really really
nice thumbs up for Dubrovnik. It is very important to note that UNESCO has listed Dubrovnik city as
a World Heritage Site. The prosperity of the city was historically based on the maritime trade
from the trade the city has achieved a high level of development particularly during the 15th and
16th century. Dubrovnik is one of the leading tourist attractions in the Mediterranean Sea
the city and its walls have been an attraction site for many years back in 2017 the city and
its walls attracted over 1.2 million visitors it automatically made it one of the most popular
attractions in Croatia. Hey Ed by the way what is it that people has to do if they are enjoying

Got also here handmade souvenirs you can buy for two euros so yeah that's really nice thank you
so yeah this is the souvenir you can buy for two euros from that man over there
yeah if you want a souvenir handmade it's a good option
that's it. Another must visit when coming to Dubrovnik is the Lovrij Denak fortress which is a
fortress which dates back to the 16th century and it's a fortified fortress located on the very
height of a cliff offering beautiful and panoramic views not only of the sea but also of all the city
of Dubrovnik so the city of Dubrovnik is not only the old walls of the old town but also offers
incredible fortress like this one we see behind me plus the incredible views of this very colorful
and beautiful city. Wow look at this view guys from this cliff which is opposite to the fortress
got the beautiful sea right here very nice colorful water you can see the two shades of
blue here is a bit lighter than this side plus you got all this nature and all the city
very very amazing i'm in love with Dubrovnik already. And which one is your favorite part of
