Hello there, this is my slump my
Slovakian
UMP
It's a stray bog in 45 ACP now
Normally, it comes with a stupid billboard right here
and today I'm going to teach you how to remove these laser engraved giant billboard logos because
Some people ought not to have laser engravers. They take full advantage of it. It's like
people taking full advantage of an open bar and
Becoming obnoxious
Same energy right here. So let's learn how to remove it. All you need is
Aluminium blackener and steel wool that is it outside of firearms. I found that
Optics companies like Holosun also like to do that. So I have also removed
obnoxious Holosun logos on the side
Feel free to remove any obnoxious logos with this method I'm about to show you
So, let's say we want to get rid of all this right very obnoxious we want to turn that closer to something like
This so something that's fairly subtle
When you laser engrave aluminium your anodization is basically a colored
type of aluminium oxide
Aluminium oxide is basically like rust
Rust is what happens when you put ferrous objects
So iron based metals in in an oxidizing environment and oxidizes
the difference is rust degrades because it continually rusts and your
Iron your iron molecules will continually turn into rust and flake off
Whereas aluminium whenever you expose it and it forms aluminium oxide that sort of turns it into a candy
Like it like a hard candy coated external so it naturally
rusts well
oxidizes and
Protects itself from further oxidization. So it's actually really neat how this characteristics of aluminium works
So what we're doing right now, we're using steel wool
To get rid of that aluminium oxide because we don't want to see the white
Because that's obnoxious, right?
So once you sort of
Know now you don't have to like go full ham on this once you get rid of the surface layer
Take some of this aluminium blackener and
Put it on a rag
It's just like cold blue. It's the exact same concept and
Just gently coat it
And by the way right now, it's essentially oxidizing itself into a different color
You can see here this is how the laser engraving used to look
And how it currently looks now
much
Classier much cleaner much better
so
That is how you do it. That's how you fix these obnoxious billboards that are on the side. Now this one I had been
Coating earlier
Put a little bit more on it
It doesn't fully get rid of these but it certainly makes it a lot more tolerable
So it looks less
Like a cheap firearm because certainly these things look very cheap
When you use laser engraving, I understand the cost-saving reasons for it, but it does look very cheap indeed
I dislike that
so
This is what it now looks like
Much less trash here, right?
On the other side same thing
It looks like I didn't do a good job scrubbing some of some of the oxide right here
so let me scrub some more of the aluminium oxide and
rub some more of the
Blackener on it to see what it looks like
back end
Just
Much better, right that looks much less trashier. All right. Yeah
Ideally
Ideally and if I were to give grand power any feedback, please don't use the Nazi font
To make a billboard on the side of your firearm
But now that it is done I have corrected it and so can you we'll see you back at the range
