Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. I hope you guys are all ready for a wild time
because we're gonna go spend some time with the lions.
We do have a whole pride of lions here at Single Vision. We have 10 lions total
but four of them as of right now are in our pride.
So our pride currently consists of Timba and Vati which are two Timba Vati white
lions as well as Sahara and Sarabi. We do a
lot of stuff throughout the day here at Single Vision. A lot of our day consists
of cleaning and taking care of all the animals and feeding.
So at the very end of my work day I get to go in and hang out with the animals
and of course this is my favorite part of the day because I get to spend quality
time with the animals that I love the most.
I'm so glad that you guys are here to join me today to spend some time with
some beautiful big cats. Leave a comment down below if you have
any suggestions or video ideas that you guys want to see
and as always if you have any questions or if you want to take a tour you can
always book a tour with us at singlevision.org
Do not bother my nap time. Not my nap time.
With her Timba. You love her. Don't be so grumbly. You love her.
Don't be so grumbly. You love her.
Right here. You sweet boy. You sweet boy. Nice shady spot. You in the shade
with the girls. You in the shade with the girls.
Oh she can nap on you too pretty boy. We all love you.
Don't be so grumbly with her. Here as you can see
Timba is giving Sarabi a little warning. Although he does spend a lot of time
with Sarabi he doesn't necessarily want her grooming him right now.
You're waking everyone up.
Similar to little cats or even people sometimes we all just want our space.
Sometimes it's a little hot to cuddle and although these guys get along and
live together sometimes they can have disagreements much like many other
roommates. What do you think pretty girl? Fonzie
you still got your baby spot. The baby spot Sahara.
It's lion pride nap time.
Timba. Did you just say she loves you? She's like I'll groom my sister instead.
Social grooming plays a vital role in the social dynamics of lions within a
pride. Grooming serves as a means of
establishing and reinforcing social bonds within the pride.
It helps strengthens the relationships between pride members and promotes
social cohesion. By engaging in grooming lions develop a
sense of trust and cooperation which is crucial for their survival and
successful group functioning. It also helps lions maintain their
hygiene and overall health and assists in removal of dirt debris
parasites and dead skin from the fur which prevents the accumulation of
potential infections. Lions often groom each other in hard to
reach areas such as the head neck and back where they can't clean themselves
effectively so grooming comes in handy. It also
serves as a mechanism for integrating new or returning members into the pride
which is important for Sahara and Sarabi because they are
newer members of this little lion pride that we have here.
She's peeking behind you. You're so handsome.
Hi pretty girl. Oh beautiful. Hi beautiful. What? What do I smell like?
What do I smell like? Big yawn.
What is it pretty girl? What is it pretty girls?
I tried to boop you but you're too quick. What do you think?
Sahara's just getting all the grooming right now.
You sweet boy. You're getting spoiled today pretty girl.
