Well I guess the cat is out of the bag and was out of the bag since the San Diego Comic-Con
Deadpool panel that happened on Thursday when the film opened. Because yeah, Chris Evans returned
in Deadpool and Wolverine and he addresses his return to the MCU. I hope you saw the film before
you caught IGN and comic book straight up saying Chris Evans talks about his shocking return.
Yeah, literally before the film was even finished airing. That was confusing but hey,
there it was. And um, you know, yeah, unfortunate if that's how you saw it. But again,
in this world, in this day and age, even if you try to hide spoilers, they hit. I've been trying
to do the best job I can trying to censor it in thumbnails and everything. It happens. I know
it's the game, guys. It's the game. But yeah, Chris Evans returned in the film. Obviously,
he didn't play Captain America. He played Johnny Storm, which was rumored for, I mean, ever since
they started production on this film. So after the panel that happened at San Diego Comic-Con
and once the film was done airing, well, people got to catch up with the cast, including other
surprise actors. And Chris Evans was on hand to talk a little bit about his shocking return. And
he says that when they reached out to him and asked him, hey, do you want to come back to the MCU?
Automatically, he was like, yes. Yeah, I'm in. And then they were like, well, hold up. You're
going to be back in Deadpool and Wolverine. We want you to play Johnny Storm. And he was like,
yeah, let's do it. And he said that first it was Ryan Reynolds that reached out to him
by sending him a text being like, look, I got an idea. It's a throwback. I mean, a real throwback,
like 20 years ago. We're thinking about it. And he was like, yeah, I want to do it. And then
the rest was history. Automatically, Marvel Studios was like, cool, here we go. Let's get this done.
And then they got it done. And he says that he was really excited to be back in the fold,
that he was excited to revisit Johnny Storm, that it was a different role than what he's been doing
and that this sort of like revitalized him and his energy, aka he's back. He's back, guys.
100% he's back. There is no way they got him to play Johnny Storm and that he's not already in
conversation or fully signed on for multiple appearances as Captain America. No way. Like,
it's a done deal. Let's be real about this. They got it all done in one go. That's just how it's
done so they can already start planning what's next. And with choice words and comments that
have been made by Marvel Studios recently in regards to this actor, that actor, returns,
bringing characters back, how to deal with it. Yeah. It's a matter of years before we see Cap
back and Chris Evans back in that role. And you know what? Good. The multiverse is fully open.
Bring him back. Because he will be back as a multiverse Cap, so why not?
