Hey guys, in this video I'm going to show you where you can make money working from
home sending emails for companies right now with a lot of different work from home jobs
that are available.
So first we have a company called News Revenue Hub.
They are actually looking for a customer support specialist available right now, which apparently
pays around $30 per hour.
This is 8 to 10 hours per weekend with the potential to increase and add weekday hours.
So this right now is more of a weekend based job.
It probably starts you part time, could go into more hours during the week later on.
But with this particular job, your responsibilities are going to include customer support.
Now they say you will use their customer service management system, which is JIRA, to fill
the managed customer support requests.
You will serve as the first point of contact on the service desk during weekends and holidays,
working to quickly and completely resolve customer issues.
You will triage and reassign tickets to internal subject matter experts when necessary.
Now they talk a lot about using like a ticketing system, and usually that is a form of email
based support.
So with this, you will also translate customer pain points into actionable data.
You will document bugs and user stories, ensure that common inquiries and their responses
are documented in the knowledge base, contribute to existing documentation.
You will provide prompt and professional support as well.
You'll do some product support, you'll follow best practices to evaluate suspicious payments
and promptly approve or deny them, develop an understanding of the fraud rules to provide
support to RevEngine users and their contributors, manage the RevEngine quarantine queue, and
things like that.
Now they also have some service based stuff like build and test MailChimp campaigns, create
Salesforce reports, become an expert on RevEngine, and build proficiency on the integrated platforms
to help customers execute tasks that leverage donor data.
So this role might be for you if you have at least one year of customer service experience.
So not too bad in terms of experience there.
Have experience with software as a service, customer service.
You're familiar with tools such as Salesforce, MailChimp, or Jira, and are a strong communicator.
So they don't mention anything about ever having to be on the phone.
They mention you will be doing some tickets, which tells me you are probably going to be
doing mostly email based support.
Now as far as what's like to work here, they don't really have a lot of reviews right now.
They do have a page on Glassdoor.
They do have an official website and everything, pricing, all the stuff that would normally
be an indicator that they are legit.
It's just that they seem to be kind of a small team.
They don't seem to have a lot of employee reviews yet.
Next, we have a company called Stable.
Stable is a company that helps you build your own business address, and you can manage this
from anywhere.
This is like a virtual mailbox.
So they actually have a customer support specialist position where you can either work in San
Francisco, New York, or remotely.
It's a full-time position, and this is a job that's obviously pretty straightforward.
You're doing customer support, and it's just kind of a matter of how are you doing customer
support.
And here they tell you that you will be doing email based support.
So you will play a pivotal role in managing customer relationships through email correspondence
and ticket resolution.
You will gain a deep understanding of their product.
You will influence the product, and then you will follow playbooks and update the documentation
as needed.
The type of people they're looking for are driven by impact, learn by doing, you're very
motivated by results, form deep relationships, and are organized and data-driven.
The things you will do will be support customers through friendly email correspondence, collaborate
with customers via video call to resolve more complex issues, which basically means that
it will be not something you do all the time, use supporting CX documentation to resolve
customer issues, gain an in-depth understanding of the product and use that to answer unique,
nuanced customer questions, quantify and track day-to-day issues through the issue tracking
tools, update the internal documentation when processes change, and work closely with the
CX team to provide customer feedback to improve the customer experience.
Requirements here, strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable solving
new and ambiguous complex problems, detail-oriented, energized by helping people, and bonus points
if you have experience in a customer-facing role at a B2B or software as a service type
of company.
Competitive salary and equity and stable is one thing that they offer in terms of benefits
as well as unlimited vacation time, healthcare benefits, home office setup, work anywhere
in US time zones, and opportunities to shape the future of the company.
It sounds like kind of a startup type of environment here.
They don't have a Glassdoor page yet, but they do have a page on a company called Product
Hunt.
Product Hunt is a major website where people follow and talk about the latest tech products
that are coming out.
Stable actually has their product listed there.
It's got reviews.
It's got followers.
It's something that kind of, I think, legitimizes what the company and the product is.
Next, we have a company called Vetcove.
Vetcove is a place where you can buy supplies for a veterinary clinic, and Vetcove is looking
for a vet clinic support associate.
They actually have a few different jobs available right now.
If you go to their other jobs, they have some things like a chat support associate as well
if you're interested in doing chat-based support, a customer support manager, data engineer,
and some other things.
For this particular job, it looks like you will be doing email-based support.
For this one, what you'll do is support existing Vetcove users by responding to user inquiries
via their ticketing software, which again, ticketing software is usually email-based
support.
Try to recreate the issue if it's a bug and document the steps needed to reproduce it,
and then you will basically submit it to engineering to fix.
You'll investigate the source of the data issues and either resolve the issue or submit
a data engineering ticket, respond to the clinics once the issue has been resolved.
Again, you are actually doing support for a lot of veterinary clinics instead of just
regular customers.
You'll troubleshoot issues, handle various daily and weekly admin responsibilities, work
cross-functionally to provide engineering partner and corporate teams with information
they need, and then work with vendor and industry partners to streamline communication and work
between systems and help to continuously develop and expand processes in order to streamline
these support workflows.
You should have one year of relevant technical-facing work experience, a four-year college degree,
excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in ticket support, patience
and compassion with handling difficult situations, ability to adapt quickly and manage many concurrent
responsibilities, strong desire to learn, positive attitude, tech startup work experience
is a plus but is not required.
They tell you that this is 50,000 to 80,000 a year plus bonus plus equity and benefits.
As far as compensation goes, if you're doing email-based support, I am going to tell you
right now after covering probably thousands of companies in the past few years, you will
not find hardly any email-based support jobs that pay up to 80,000 a year and also give
you benefits.
It's very rare.
If you are interested in doing email-based support, maybe you like animals and you want
to help these veterinary clinics out, this can be something where you might like your
job but also get really well compensated.
As far as what it's like to work here, they have a 4.9 out of 5-star rating.
Their employees actually really like working here.
Benefit-wise, don't be fooled by this average saying zero.
Sometimes it just does that.
It's just like an error on the side or something.
Most of their reviews seem to be 4 and 5 stars for their benefits, which is great.
Interview-wise, you do have a couple dozen people who have left reviews about an average
difficulty score and pretty split between negative and a combination of positive and
neutral.
I'd say anything that's positive and neutral is a good sign.
Negative is usually close to 50%, I would say, for most companies, so there's no real
red flags here.
Next, we have a company called Crew Bloom.
Crew Bloom is a company that helps you hire for a remote staff.
They're like a staffing company.
They have an inside sales and lead generation specialist type job, which sounds a little
different than what a normal email support job would be because it is quite a bit different.
It's basically a sales job in the form of email communication, also with some LinkedIn
messaging sprinkled in there.
If you look at what you're doing here, you are kind of like the first point of the sales
process.
If you think of a sales process at a typical company, you have the first point, which sometimes
a company might have this, sometimes they may not, but they have a lead generation specialist
like this job where you are the ones gathering the leads.
Then you have usually a sales development rep or a business development rep who will
contact those leads and qualify them for some sort of sit down or some sort of call.
Then a lot of times, an account executive will actually close the deal if the sales
rep does not.
With these jobs, you are kind of the first point of the sales process where you are the
one doing the research, maybe messaging some people, and building up a database of leads.
You're going to be doing this by communicating with people via email and LinkedIn communication.
You will expand and maintain the company's prospect database.
You will do a lot of research and identification of new leads, qualify leads through targeted
email campaigns and LinkedIn outreach.
You will inform and educate prospects on the services and product offerings, skillfully
overcome objections and concerns by customers, continuously follow up with them, work closely
with leadership to basically create strategic sales approaches that work and effectively
communicate the company's brand, identity, values, and corporate position in all interactions.
They want you to have a strong customer focus, expertise in social media platforms, excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment,
problem solving skills, so you're self-motivated, you're organized, you're adaptable, flexible,
results driven, a creative and innovative thinker, and a strong sense of ethics.
Qualifications here, related college diploma or combination of education and experience,
direct work experience in IT, sales, emailing capacity, something like that, solid experience
in opportunity, qualification, outreach control, account development, and time management,
strong problem identification and objection resolution skills, able to build and maintain
lasting relationships with customers, exceptional comprehension skills, strong written communication
skills, as well as initiative-taking with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm,
ability to work individually and as part of a team, elevated level of integrity and work
ethic, and experience with customer relationship management software.
A system requirement is at least 15 Mbps for the main internet and 10 Mbps for backup,
desktop or laptop that has an i5 processor with at least 8 gigabytes of RAM and i3 processor
for backup.
Backup should be functional when there is a power interruption, webcam, USB, dedicated
home office, smartphone.
Benefits, they just kind of talk about work-life balance and flexibility here.
They don't really mention a lot in terms of insurance, HSA, that kind of stuff.
4.7 out of 5 stars though overall.
People do seem to like working here for the most part.
Benefit-wise, they don't really have a lot of feedback, but they have a pretty average
score here.
Interview-wise, 2.8 out of 5 difficulty and the majority of people had a pretty positive
experience applying here, which is a great sign.
And then as far as what you are doing, again, you're like a lead generation specialist.
A lead generation specialist on average can make somewhere between $57,000 and $97,000
a year.
They don't have this exact same job title on their Glassdoor page, but this would be
one of the closest things to look at, just the median pay in total for jobs with this
title across the U.S.
Next, you have a company called Reconstruct.
Reconstruct is what they call a leader in remote quality control, progress monitoring
and facility management and assessment.
They have a customer support specialist available to work remotely in the U.S.
It's full-time.
This is a job where you will be doing email-based support.
As you can see, you'll be owning all emails, requests, and questions that come through
the support channel, assessing each issue and understanding where it should be escalated,
perform minor maintenance and correction tasks within the Reconstruct platform.
You also maintain a fair understanding of Reconstruct to effectively troubleshoot support
issues.
You'll assess triaging hardware issues that are sent through support, provide weekly updates
to the head of customer experience and customer success management team, and this is all based
on different things about the tickets.
Provide beta testing and update technical documentation as needed.
Skills required.
They do want you to have an understanding of Zendesk, which is a major email support
platform that many businesses use, excellent technical writing skills, ability to manage
and triage issues, strong communication skills, and strong technical troubleshooting skills.
As far as what it's like to work here, they have a 3.5 out of 5 star rating.
They don't have a lot of information here in general yet.
They do have some things that they say are employer verified though.
If you look at some of their benefits, they do have a lot of things that are employer
verified, so that's a good sign.
It looks like they do have 401ks, performance bonuses, insurance, and that kind of thing.
Interview wise, they have a 2.3 out of 5 difficulty score.
We've had some people with neutral experiences and negative experiences so far, but it's
very small sample size.
Salary wise, again, you're a customer support rep.
Now, if you look for their reviews, because they don't have a very large sample size
of reviews yet, you don't see this particular job title on here.
If you look for a typical customer support specialist though, you might make between
$42,000 and $57,000 a year.
Then we also have a worldwide option.
If you are outside the US, you can apply at Inksub.com.
They also accept people in the US as well, but they actually create a lot of WordPress
related products.
WordPress is one of the leading platforms that people use to build a website.
WordPress support specialist at CampusPress is the name of the job that they are hiring
for.
It's a full-time position.
You need to basically convert these hours to whatever those hours would be in your time
zone because they do hire worldwide.
Responsibilities, the role will involve providing support by email to customers of these two
products, which are EduBlogs and CampusPress.
You'll assist with and solve all manner of WordPress questions, contribute to testing
and QA with updates to WordPress core plugins and themes, coordinating with developers over
bugs, features, and cool new stuff, be an active part of the team.
Requirements, have a really good familiarity with WordPress.
They say if you are even able to code a little bit, like in PHP, MySQL, HTML, or CSS, that
would be great.
Experience of WordPress multi-site networks, amazingly great communication skills, impressive
response times, typing speed, interpersonal skills, a great team player, and you're good
at collaborating with people.
The benefits you actually get for working here, you have flexibility.
They say very attractive working conditions, 28 to 35 days of paid leave per year, opportunities
to get paid travel to attend WordCamps and other industry conferences, long service leave,
three months off paid after you've been with them a while, up to two months salary bonus
based on company growth targets.
Then you also have technology budgets every three years.
The longer you are there, the more you get, and general expenses budget yearly, again,
same thing, the longer you are there, the more you get.
This long service leave benefit here, I think that's basically what they call a sabbatical
here.
Basically, their sabbaticals, they have a long service leave, they say three months
off paid, which is way more than most companies do, which most companies do a one month sabbatical.
They seem to do a three month sabbatical, but we don't know exactly how long you have
to be there to get those.
Most companies, they don't give you a sabbatical unless it's like every three years or every
five years, something like that.
Now, when it comes to working here, they have a 3.6 out of five star rating.
Benefit wise, they have a four out of five star rating so far, I mean, obviously a small
sample size.
Interview wise, they have a 3.1 out of five difficulty score, which is pretty standard,
I would say.
Then, pretty standard interview experience scores, pretty close to 50% negative and the
rest are positive or neutral.
It's pretty normal.
Then, as far as what it's like to work here, how much you might be able to make, it's a
basic customer support type of job.
It could be pretty similar to the last estimate that I showed you, which was maybe 45,000
to 57,000 a year or something like that.
If you look at anything related to customer support, you see hosting support down here
that says they said they averaged 52,000 a year, it's only one salary submitted, so it's
probably just this bottom number that they made 52,000 in a year.
That's about on par with what the industry average is.
