Noryangjin (노량진) is one of my favorite traditional Korean fish markets that I like to go to in Seoul, Korea. You can pick FRESH LIVE SEAFOOD from the market, and then they cut it right in front of you. Afterward, they will take the seafood to the restaurant to prepare and cook it for you.
Yo, we are here in Noryangjin about to eat some fresh crab and seafood.
One of my favorite spots to be in Korea. Sushi, sashimi, the Korean way, you know what I mean?
That's crazy.
Oh my god
My wife is scared right now
Usually I'm on the negotiation, but we got the pro mama Cho out here
The joint is fresh fresh. It don't get fresher than this, man
One is alive
All right, so
Once you shop all your fish you go right upstairs and then there's a whole restaurant they're gonna start prepping everything
Can you ask them how to prepare it?
They all have their own little ways of doing it
Oh, and there's different restaurants
Question. Yeah, so is each shop associated with a certain restaurant kind of associated? Yeah, so it's business, you know
How do we know which one we're going to?
Who's this?
You gotta be quick here you gotta you gotta follow with the program, you know, are you messing up?
Yeah, this is not for foreigners. Yeah, I definitely don't think Noryangjin is a
Foreigner friendly place. No, it's something that you come in. It's a lot of shopping
Yeah
So it's kind of fun just seeing my wife react in a certain way
But noraebang is definitely the place to come when you're in korea
It's good
My wife doesn't do that actually thick
Korean seafood, there's so many different different sauces there's sesame oil. There's the ssam sauce
Wasabi and soy sauce
Hip-hop
So my wife said
She wishes I introduced this culture to the people in america
This is a place that you come to where people auction off seafood and you can get it fresh off the boat really
And you have to negotiate all the price
You buy it fresh out of the water tank and then they send it to a restaurant upstairs
And you can just eat it fresh. They kind of ask you how you want it a little bit
Sometimes they just kind of cook it on their own. You want to steam you want to grill?
You want it raw?
So all this that we ate today
Came out to under 200
That's a steal right here. So an american dollar it probably came out to about like 180
That was definitely worth it
How much
That is expensive, I feel like they didn't
Was it worth it it was till we paid the bills we definitely thought it was worth $200
but
Uh, we just came out. They didn't say anything about the bill and then we find out
$100 to cook your meal
So now I was satisfied, but now i'm dissatisfied
