A Peaceful Christmas Full of Thanks! | Vlogmas 2024

Charlie his own plushy dinos turn it around what's an wow daddy what did you get I got some sick new Sun I want to show the inside what is that thing so they're the Disney 100 little like sketchy design are you shocked here's my special backpack and then we got some patches I got to figure out looking what color I think either pink or purple looking mama mama you put the feet yeah we got to snap them on boys are working on these snap dinosaurs Charlie got the search and find Dino book look at this little [Applause] spinner there you go truly when we said it was going to be a dino Christmas it is a dino Christmas this is for you it's a special Christmas that's for Teddy or Charlie this is a special gift because of the whole next year of fun we're going to have we've never had any of our wedding photos boys do you see this look I try getting different sizes and such what's that one mama look mama look it's my mom and my sisters and my dad's little blue heart all you guys getting ready wow I [Music] just have a few more let me go downstairs and get them don't mind my hair we got more for Sarah Sarah and I made the decision like last minute that we were only going to get each other two or three gifts two small ones one bigger ones and uh she didn't know this but I had this plan for a long time so even if we said we were not doing yes Dy wow look at a line of rainbow dinosaurs even if we had a plan to not get each other any gifts this year I would have been in the doghouse cuz she would have been waking up with all these gifts anyway so the fact that we had even a set amount and I'm just exceeding that to me all these photos are one gift so I'm not breaking the rule I had to use be gentle James dinosaur it's not it's not a toy dinosaur I had to use other um wrapping paper to throw you off so I didn't use it [Music] all where are we going to put we got to figure it out and I'm worried about that space but um we'll figure it out wow daddy there's not there's one of you I will you be completely offended if we get so that I couldn't you're just so beautiful I couldn't not I know but like this is I mean we can we that Stang do you love them I love them thank I like the mix black and white too there there's one more with you and me in it oh go it's underneath the couch oh my gosh there's actually two under the couch the last two last [Laughter] two it's huge cuz it's our beautiful wedding party and our beautiful city and your fountain F in my City My City yeah it's my City you like it wow I love it it deser it it deserves to be huge though doesn't it mhm and let I'll I'll get the last one out she's going to be peeved if this one's just as big this is Auntie Jenna what this oh gosh wow so romantic mama who is that where the heck are we going to put them this is my favorite photo from our whole wedding because Sarah and I are dancing it's our first dance and then her mom Sarah's mom is right here she's the only other person in the photo you can see who's just like so sweetly smiling at us see and it now means needs so much more to us now than ever dinosur we got a dinosaur all righty I just washed our little festive picture and our drink for the day it's not using this that's not that's not a part of it I'm going to do a little holiday spin on the passion tea lemonade don't mind the excavation site but mind behind them my workspace but I'm going to add in this and some fresh fruit so I think I'm going to do like equal lemonade and passion tea and then these two cans of pomegranate punch a little bubble give it a nice stir going to juice the [Music] lime I actually ended up putting in two limes and I'm just going to put in a little apple and then I remembered I add a pomegranate to put pomegranate seeds in it too so I'm going to mix it up pomegranates get a little messy but here is our our festive drink for Christmas also Merry Christmas we're so happy that you're here we did vlogmas this year it's our last day of vlogging for now um um and so we're so grateful that you all contributed to our American Cancer Society fundraiser this year Peter will be running the dopy challenge in just a few weeks um and vlogmas was possible because of all of your generosity so thank you so so [Music] much fizzing lava Dad see wow I hope if this this is your first Vlog you've seen you will come on back and watch the rest of vlogmas also we have like hundreds of videos from vlogging for years and years um so yes thank you thank you thank you and I hope this is just a classic Brook heart Christmas video that you enjoy I got some pomegranate some hash brown some blueberries and some some sausages the boys are big sausage kids it's for special special events yeah we'll get you some bubbles we're going to actually get Mama's fancy drink for you and this is cooling this is like a french toast sule bake bread pudding es Peter said my fancy drink tastes like Starbucks I did peppermint syrup then the two shots of espresso with chocolate milk and then with cream on top I don't really know how it's already 1223 but Charlie's yes we'll we'll play Charlie's taking a nap I just put in bread a fresh loaf of bread I will link the recipe here it's just like a classic Italian Loaf and it's what I started making weekly makes two loaves so tasty and I realize like bless you um it's like lunchtime we got to get some dips going we we have a we have a couple it's just you know it's just the four of us but I'm going to play for a little bit and get dips started and we have a Christmas story if you've been following along with us on Instagram trying to watch more Christmas movies um it just makes sense to us to watch A Christmas Story on Christmas Day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I don't know if we showed this or not but Charlie got this little play pen oh the boys got this Dino balance I swear I swear James's been working on this all day is he laughing at you make him [Music] laugh and now we have just like a mini mini cheese and yummy spread going on what do you think your first pickle all righty I don't know how the day has been going by so quick we've been having such a good day I did not show I am making red sauce with a pork roast I already baked it and now I'm throwing in onions I'm going to throw in some fresh garlic and salt and pepper actually no salt because pork is already salty so just pepper and get the onions nice and translucent I have Home Alone n now um probably won't have the capacity to do much more of like a cook with me situation um I'm also baking a pie um I'll just put any recipes I used today in the description maybe I'll just I'll do a simple little cook with me kind of a a little step by step nothing nothing too crazy but we want to enjoy our day and that's like the goal is peace we still want to you know make all the things and and soaking every minute so I don't want to like overdo it with the filming now that everything is nice and cooked putting in a big old can of diced tomatoes this is also when I'm adding my fresh basil too now I'm going to let this cook for like 25 minutes on kind of like medium low you'll also know it's ready when you can start to see the fat come from the meat through with the tomatoes going to do a big can of crushed tomatoes then I added a small can of tomato paste and then I'm going to do three fills of the same can with water mixed that all up did a good Shake of garlic powder and some crushed red pepper and then I decided I wanted it to be a little bit more Saucy so I added a can of tomato sauce and then I'll just let that bubble for like 20 minutes and then I'll put it down to low and let it cook like 2 3 hours um we need the sauce for our stuffed shells but then I'd also like some just on the side for like the boy pasta so I just wanted more sauce my favorite thing to do is dip mozzarella juice slices in it it's really good um the pie is all situated it was way more intense than I realized I made like a straight up custard on a double Broiler situation and sugar and egg oh my gosh but hopefully it'll be worth it um I think we're going to sit for a little bit until we have to like cook the pasta and get the cheese ready to stuff the noodles Peter just put on order the Phoenix and so I'm hopeful I'm going to just sit on my couch I lost my phone for a little bit but here is the making of the salad I love doing it like this I put olive oil then red wine vinegar salt pepper garlic and oregano and then I let it just like settle and then I just eat it with like eat well not lettuce eat tomatoes with all of the seasonings like right on top it's so yummy my mouth is watering thinking about it because tomatoes are my favorite food the stuffed shells are a cooking and I feel like the rot cheese that I stuff the shells with I just have never gotten it right like I wish I could just ask my mom what did because it just never tastes right so I think it's Clos but we'll see so I didn't include that in the cook with me cuz I couldn't find my phone so I would just Google what my stuff stuff shells with if you're interested in making stuff shells here are loaves of bread I'm about to use my Christmas present from Peter to chop this one up for dinner I'm doing big old pieces for dinner but we'll cut the other one like a sandwich like a loaf of a sandwich that was a pretty good bake very good bake one of your best thanks putting it to good use you could definitely saw someone's arm off for that I'm going to quote the somebody feed Phil episode in Chicago where he's like this is holiday good this is like home all righty here is my creation I'm so very proud of it this recipe was not for the week I'm going to get us two little slices maybe two big slices and then this is homemade peppermint whipped cream and I put two little jelli peppermint Barks On Top only you spent half your life making this pie'll take you to the railro station how was it on so rich nice we might to like share a piece it's really really good though I really like the whipped cream you proud of yourself good I can't wait to try all righty here is my final Sarah from the future sign off it is the next day I am at Disney Springs um after Peter's workday today he said I'm just go enjoy summer house on the lake get a little drink just a little moment out of the house um but anywh who last night after after bedtime I was zoned I was so tired probably went to bed earlier than I have in a long time um but yeah I just I didn't have like a good wrap up of yesterday's Vlog but especially wanted to have a good sign off given the end of vlogmas is is here I've said it a gazillion times the music was loud so I'm going to I'm going to walk a little further um we are so so appreciative of all of the money that you helped us fundraise this year not just for this vlogmas but Chicago marathon Peter accomplished a perfect run Disney season last season it was just such a full year of you know raising funds and awareness and just all the things for American Cancer Society so truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts it's been you know our our loved ones are heavy on our minds and our hearts especially this time of year and um as you know we lost both my parents to the wrath of cancer and it's just we're not we're not just thankful for you know the ability for Peter to do run Disney races we are like just eternally grateful that you you know how much this this charity means to our hearts and that you are willing to you know help us do our part in um the fight against cancer so truly thank you thank you for showing up in the comments for the messages for watching for the holiday wishes for just all the sweetness that you have given us this holiday season it was truly I loved it I loved every second of it the late nights editing the extraordinary ordinary so truly please know that the brook hearts love you and we thank you from the tips of our toes we are just so so grateful for you and our lives we're hopeful that the brook car project will come back in some capacity someday I know we say that um even if it's just little spurts of vlogging like this you never know you just you just never do know so thank you again and it is good to be home we know what our goals are we know what we hope to accomplish and believe me it's the most exciting and challenging assignment we've ever tackled at Walt Disney Productions [Music] [Applause] [Music]
