We're here at the Kingfisher Centre in Redwich and Redwich is a very special place, the Royal
Enfield because if you don't know it's actually the spiritual home. The brand manufactured
motorcycles here up until 1967. That was 52 years ago but we're back here now for 6 weeks
at least in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre and we've chosen this location to make the
European introduction for our new Bullet Trials. Yesterday the press got their opportunity
to see the motorcycles for the first time and today it's really exciting, it's the public
introduction of the Bullet Trials. My name is Mark Spillane, I'm the European Marketing
Manager for the company and I'm absolutely delighted that we're here. We left this town
in 1967 so it's only taken us 52 years but we are back at least for 6 weeks. Redwich
is still in the hearts and minds of everybody that works at the Royal Enfield and I'm talking
about the guys back here too. Now we're going to be joined by a special guest today. We've
got Anne Bradford with us and Anne used to work for the factory many years ago and has
actually written a history and had it published. We've got Gordon May who's Royal Enfield's
very own historian and Gordon will be giving us a presentation. I'll also be joined by
Simon Warburton who's the Global Head of Product Development for Royal Enfield and I'm absolutely
delighted that we've got ex-factory workers here as well. So we're going to be having
a chat with those guys and talking about the times back in the very early days and their
experiences of the brand. A very, very special guest pulling off the cover of the Bullet
Trials is Pat Britton. Now Pat comes from a family of factory riders for Royal Enfield.
His father Vic from the 1940s and 50s and then Pat along with his brother Johnny Britton
rode and experienced tremendous success on our machines and Pat will be pulling the covers
off the new bike along with the Mayor of Redwich. So we're in for a very exciting day.
