how do we know the HPV vaccine won't
cause long-term problems I want to have
grandkids in the future I mean not the
near future I'm just worried the vaccine
will impact her ability to have kids
later I had trouble getting pregnant and
I don't want her to have to go through
that there's nothing to be worried about
I can assure you that the data shows us
that the HPV vaccine is safe and doesn't
affect fertility in fact we have over 15
years of data no signs of any fertility
problems at all is that right yes on the
other hand treatments for cervical
pre-cancers and Cancers can cause issues
with conception in pregnancy some
treatments for cervical pre-cancers can
put women at risk for problems with
their cervix which can then cause
complications during pregnancy like
pre-term delivery
and some treatments for HPV cancers can
make it difficult or even impossible to
become pregnant treatments like
chemotherapy radiation and even
hysterectomy so in fact HPV vaccination
is one of the best ways to prevent
future fertility problems due to HPV
Associated infection
