Anna PEZZETTA (ITA) | Junior Women Short Program | Gdansk 2024

final skater in group number five wow one of the biggest jumpers on the junior grand prix without question yes ted my note is for anna patetta from italy our just jump height we wish her all the very best but no doubt her jump height is phenomenal arguably one of the biggest jumpers in the world on both the junior and the senior circuit mark that is awesome isn't it exhilarating and exciting it's it's so exciting to see what anna patetta has to offer in terms of her jumping prowess but not just the jumps a great skater on on a skater that is doubling up on juniors and seniors and showcasing perhaps at this early point in the season more consistency than we've seen from her before always a talent always exciting because of the jumping but not as readily able to replicate it in their performance but it looks like she was so focused and she was so determined she wasn't distracted for any moment in this program and that is what makes the difference because i've seen her escape before beautifully it just shocked you in the practice sessions but under deliver in competition not on this day look at the size of that triple it was a massive into the triple toe loop extension just beautiful and we come down to the nina bauer here and then into a little bracket right there and launches herself off the end of that edge look at the speed of the landing it's like kaori sakamoto and here's the triple flip it's an italian rocket ship just incredible and you know it poses the question as we look at parts of the step sequence which showcase good skating skills also the judging criteria for positive grade of execution a very good height and very good length it's just one bullet point so it's one grade of execution notch higher but you almost feel it with anna pizetta that she doesn't have very good height and very good length she has incredible height and incredible length she needs two bullet points for that yeah you can't say very good you know you got to say well you have to have an extraordinary word in there wow just amazing i'm gonna i'm gonna claim that mark because you're a little slow on this as a must watch moment oh my god it's because you're getting carried away i'm going oh i'm taking this one this is great okay season best 64.78 that'll put her in fourth place what a great program what a really great skater lots of work still to do as she transitions from junior to senior but this young woman the sky's the limit
