Most awkward moments after getting married and living together.
Hmm.
I will say that we are not the couple that is overly open about...
Are you going to go or should I go?
Well hello...
See I didn't even say it because I knew that he's been trying to take my little well hello
lately.
Just people think you're so cute so I want to be cute.
That is useless.
Well hello everyone.
Welcome back to our channel.
Welcome back to the channel everyone.
We have a very exciting video because we didn't think this video was possible.
Truly.
Tori and I are pretty open books for the most part.
We share things that we've processed in our own life.
We love sharing things that we've learned about.
And we asked you guys to ask us questions that we haven't answered before and you found
them.
Somehow.
Because I feel like we do so many Q&A's on this channel.
I feel like it's one of our favorite style videos.
And so when people are like you should do one that we've never answered I'm like I don't
know if there's questions.
We haven't answered.
And so on Instagram I challenged you guys.
I was like okay y'all I know we've answered a lot but there has to be something.
And I was like genuinely impressed by how many questions y'all came up with that we
haven't answered before.
So that's what we're about to do.
So before we jump into all these questions we do just want to celebrate a big victory
with you guys.
Yeah.
As you know we have a morning devotional podcast called mornings with the masters.
You guys are there with us whenever we started the podcast.
You guys are there with us whenever we hit 1 million downloads.
You're there with us when we hit 2 million downloads.
And now you're here with us when we just passed 3 million downloads.
There we are.
3 million downloads.
What?
I like it.
As we've done in the previous two milestones we do a giveaway at this time.
And so we're super excited to be working with Tyndale to be giving out this new Bible.
Guys.
This thing is wild.
This Bible.
It's called the Filament Bible.
It has an app that goes along with it.
I feel like it's like the Bible reimagined or like a study Bible reimagined.
That's really good.
You know what I mean?
Because every single page of these Bibles, first off, they have so many different findings.
You get to choose which translation, how big you want the font, etc.
I'm sure y'all are super surprised with the aesthetic of the one that I chose.
But you use your phone.
So anywhere you have your phone or your tablet you take a photo and per page of the Bible
They have study notes.
They have context.
They break down the people that the Bible are talking about.
They have interactive maps.
They have videos.
There's over 350 videos that break down things that are happening in scripture that make
it more interactive.
And just like you said, it reimagines it.
It makes it alive in some ways for us.
Yeah.
I'm such a visual learner too and I need context and so it's really helped me like understand
and especially when we're preparing for the Bible studies that we do as our patrons.
It's been so helpful to like have this tool to help me understand and then help us like
process what the scripture is trying to say together.
So anyways, we're going to be giving away 10 of these new Bibles.
We're going to have a link down below where you can fill out this little Google Doc.
You can pick which binding you want.
Also make sure to check out our post on Instagram and follow the rules for the giveaway.
We'll be announcing the winners in the next couple of days.
So make sure to get on that.
And a big thanks to Tyndale for always supporting our channel and our podcast.
We love that publishing house and so let's jump in.
Let's do it.
All right.
Well, the first one is just you got to give the people what they want.
Have you struggled in your sex life in marriage?
How did you get past it in a godly way?
Okay.
Have you at all?
I feel like there was different aspects of walking into marriage and sex life that I
had a skewed view on that I had to like work through.
I think I did too.
Yeah.
And so it's not that I feel like I necessarily like struggled, but it was for me at least
I remember just having an unhealthy view on it and kind of thinking, okay, well it depends
on like the health of our marriage depends on how many times we do it in that period
of time.
And so I almost looked at our sex life as like something to achieve and something that
if it wasn't happening at a certain frequency, then we weren't healthy or we weren't good.
And that was just not the right view of sex inside of marriage.
And so I think that was something I had to work through and then just to get vulnerable.
Then I feel like too, as y'all have followed our journey, like trying to, I think that
was going to be my answer.
Get pregnant.
I was going to say, as we've been trying to get pregnant, it sounds so vulnerable.
Whenever you feel like there's a task to achieve, it definitely adds pressure and pressure removes
the enjoyment out of it.
I feel like the intimacy.
Yeah, the intimacy.
And that, that like experience is meant to be enjoyed and intimate.
And so that's definitely, well, when I say it hurt things, I mean it like past tense
where we did have conversations about that.
Cause I do feel like there was just like one specific month where we put a lot of pressure
on it and tried to do a lot of things that, to be honest, I think I've shared this with
you guys, but I just really feel like God wants us to rely fully on him.
And I started using ovulation strips and this different stuff and like all this stuff and
I just didn't have peace about it.
And I felt like it put like this crazy pressure on us and then also affected our sex life.
And so, yeah, we had a conversation about it and we feel so much better now.
But yeah, there's a very vulnerable start to the video.
Next question.
How much money do you make?
Okay.
I'm just kidding.
But the question is this, what was your home build budget slash how did you stay within
your budget?
Love y'all.
Are we going to actually say the number?
No.
Okay.
So here's what I'll say.
Regarding our budget, the way we decided on our budget was what were we spending on rent
in California?
You guys know California rent is so, so, so expensive.
It was actually, it's actually cheaper for us to have this house than it was for us to
rent in California, which just blows my mind.
And so we tried to choose something that, you know, banks will only approve you for
a certain amount in terms of your debt to income ratio.
For example, just say you make $10,000 a month.
You know, they have rules that some banks will only allow you to have a housing budget
that allows for a third of that, say like $3,000 or maybe half of that, like $5,000.
And so we had to fall within a certain range of our debt to income, which I know sounds
super wordy.
But we had to make some decisions and it was really hard to stay within our budget.
We did not stay within our budget, but praise God, we also worked really hard and business
grew as well.
And so that kind of offset the cost of it.
Yeah.
Our love for aesthetics didn't quite help our budget.
And the market was changing, prices were going up, and we are the king and queen of justifying
decisions.
So, all right, next question.
Okay.
Hmm.
I will say that we are not the couple that is overly open about...
Number two.
You know, it's not that we're like, oh, she doesn't do that.
It's more along the lines of like, just respect each other's privacy a bit.
Like some people, you know, doors open, smells are flying everywhere.
I'm just not that guy.
I'm not that guy, pal.
I'm not that guy.
So my most embarrassing moment, poor Chad, I've gotten, this was back in California.
This is so gross.
So if you're grossed out easily, maybe like skip to the next question.
I can't even believe I'm sharing this online.
I think I got food poisoning or something and it hit me out of nowhere.
And I remember it was kind of similar to this house where our bed had like a hallway to
the bathroom.
And I remember I woke up in the middle of the night and I like could barely make it
to the bathroom and our sinks came before the toilet.
And so let's just say I barely made it to the sink.
Oh, if you guys know this, I have a bad gag reflex.
Yes.
And even thinking about it, oh gosh.
Okay, go ahead.
And I was so sick that I couldn't look at it because I kept puking.
And so I literally like moved from sink to sink to...
That's babe.
All right.
I can't talk about this.
I cleaned it up like a man.
And guys, guys, I fell asleep like by the toilet.
That's like how sick I was.
And in the morning when Chad woke up, let's just say the sink was clogged and Chad had
to clean that up.
Hey.
And I was mortified.
By the way, I'm not a baby about that stuff.
I'll clean it.
But I just...
Says I'm not a baby.
No, as in like, I'm not like, eww, but I will throw up.
I 100% will throw up, but like I'm down to hell.
Yeah.
I didn't even say anything to you.
You didn't.
No, but I knew.
And I was just like...
Yeah.
I just...
There's something that happens in this...
Okay.
Next.
Wait.
No.
What's your most embarrassing?
I'm having trouble talking right now.
Stop thinking about it.
Dave.
Like, you know, when you get married, you start walking around the house in the nude
and then like men don't like to be caught in vulnerable positions.
Let me just tell you.
And if you're ever like, you know, you don't know if your wife is home and you're just
doing your thing, just enjoying the house.
Maybe you're clipping your fingernails or your toenails.
You throw your leg up on...
You know, I just like...
There's certain circumstances that I would say it's less embarrassing and more just like
you feel insecure.
You're just like, I just got caught in a vulnerable moment.
I don't want to give more details than that, but it's just funny.
All right.
Next question.
Do you deal with comparison in terms of reach and finances with other friends and social media?
I don't.
I don't necessarily think that I personally like struggle with comparison in that regard.
I think for a hot second, I was really more in comparison with like life stages with other
people just because we've been in this like, you know, trying season for so long.
And it just seems like...
I think I have 10 friends who are currently pregnant right now.
10.
Like actually 10 friends.
Close friends.
I counted the other day.
And so I think for a minute I was getting caught up in like, God, why am I not in that
season?
Like blah, blah, blah.
Like all this stuff.
And because our job is social media, so we're constantly on social media.
And it just felt very much in my face.
But the Lord has taught me so much through it about celebrating other people.
And then we were actually talking to...
Well, I was talking to our manager, Andrew, the other day.
And he was saying he was in this church service.
And this pastor was like speaking kind of prophetically.
And he pointed out this woman.
He was like, I feel like you've been trying to get pregnant for a long time.
And she just started weeping.
And the pastor said, what you need to do is start throwing as many baby showers as you
can.
Like start celebrating every friend who is walking in the promise that you're praying
for.
And I feel like that's kind of like been our season of just like celebrating all the people
who are walking in what we know we're going to walk in in the future.
And for me, celebration has really helped me in the aspect of comparison.
Yeah.
I have two things that helps me with comparison or envy or jealousy, whatever you want to
call it.
And the first thing is, and you guys have heard me say it before, the only reason you
should ever look inside of someone else's cup is to make sure they have enough.
It's not to look in there, compare like who has more inside of each cup.
No, it's only to make sure that they have enough because we look at people for what
we can give, not what we can get.
Yeah.
And then the second thing is, is I just remind myself that God has not made a mistake on
me.
Yeah.
He has not made a mistake on us and he's not made a mistake on you.
And so I want God's plan for my life and our life.
I don't want God's plan for someone else's life, even though it may have a different
flavor or opportunity or whatever.
I want what God wants for me.
Yeah.
Not just what I think I want for me.
Yeah.
And I do feel like I actually posted this on my story yesterday, but like envy within
itself is really like us not understanding the depth of who God is.
And it's not to say we aren't human.
Like, have we ever looked at other influencers or like seeing their reach or their numbers
or like how many views they're getting and then like, dang, and you like compare and
you're like, man, I wish we were getting that many views or like blah, blah, blah.
But like as soon as we go back to thankfulness and I can't tell y'all how grateful we are
for the Masters fam, like truly the community that's on here, I would rather it stay exactly
where it is forever than grow in the environment of the community change or shift because we
just like love the Masters fam and how you guys communicate and encourage each other.
And it's, I feel like no other.
And so, yeah.
Sorry to take so long for this question, but it's also this important thing.
We all struggle with this.
Yeah.
It's also important to remember your why.
My why is not big numbers.
Yeah.
My why is to serve our community who's online.
And so if I'm accomplishing that.
That's all.
So next question.
What happened to prompt us?
Oh, juicy.
Zach, you want to tell them?
All right.
This is, this is not as deep as what you guys probably think it is.
We were just three guys, all BFFs roaming the land, trying to take over the podcasting
space.
And we just all found ourselves in three very different life stages and work environments
and abilities and places of mental health and in countries and time zones.
And so we had the best time doing prompt us.
And we still, there's still a chance we may bring something back, but we all got to a
point in our all in our own individual lives or our lives with our wife and what we're
building that we're just like, Hey guys, like we either need to take a break or hang it
up because we're not giving it our correct attention.
It was getting the scraps of our time and our energy.
And that's not a way to serve you all.
You know, that's not a way to serve you all at all.
And I, I loved it.
I know, I know Gabe loved it and I know Zach loved the heck out of it, but we, we want
to do things with excellence.
And, and so if we're not able to, then you have to make that hard decision to say, you
know what?
Maybe this is something that we hold off on until we all have a little bit more time.
And this is during a time when we couldn't have Zach fly to the States or I couldn't
go to Australia because of all the stuff.
And so it was hard.
I still haven't processed it yet.
I'm like ignoring it.
All right.
Next question.
Okay.
This one's just a lighthearted one.
After this, do you take the shampoo and conditioner bottles from the hotel?
Yes, absolutely.
Yes, we do.
I walk in that hotel room and become a klepto.
Okay.
But keep in mind, if you use them, which we always do, I love shampoo and conditioner
from hotels.
They're going to throw them away because they can't use used bottles when the next person
comes in.
And so just let me tell you guys trash or it's going to be at home being used and cherished.
So let me give you a little secret.
And by the way, if anyone's ever balling on a budget, I can teach you guys some, some
purchasing food tips that will help you save the dinero.
That's Spanish for moolah.
Okay.
Which is weird lingo for money.
But let me give you this whole thing.
Tori and I love hospitality.
We love having people over.
We have, we love making people feel welcome at home and invited and loved.
And so what I would do is I would go into hotel room immediately.
Yes.
Grabbed a shampoo, conditioner, body wash, put it in my little toiletry bag, zip it up.
Whenever they come in for room service, they give you another set.
Put that.
And I'm using my own stuff that I already have.
And I do it every single day.
I'm at the hotel.
Then I come home and I invite friends over and whenever they walk into the little guest
room and they see the shampoo and conditioner and body wash set up like a little hotel,
they're just like chef's kiss, baby.
Let's go.
I don't know if this is advice we should be giving.
Yeah.
Honestly, I don't know if I condone this.
I actually made, I made all that up.
Next question.
This one we haven't answered for a reason for a long time, but I do feel like we can
give you guys like a brief summary of kind of like the situation.
The question is the cyber bully from your wedding.
What are the details?
So I'll just briefly kind of talk about it.
Um, when Chad and I were dating, this was before we got engaged and leading up to our
marriage.
It probably happened for about a year and a half, right?
We had a cyber stalker.
Anytime we were online, there were harassment comments.
They were reaching out to our friends, our parents saying the most like horrendous things,
our followers, et cetera.
And just to be clear, this wasn't a comment like, Oh, you're mean.
Or Oh, you're weird.
Or no, these, these comments were, they were sent to clients saying things that would.
Yeah.
Not good.
Like not good.
It was really bad, but it got worse when we were getting ready for our wedding.
I remember this instance in particular where I posted a boomerang of like licking the envelopes
for like our save the dates or our wedding invite or something.
And the person like took the picture and flipped it around and like got the address to where
Chad was living at the time and responded like, now I know where you live, like all
of this stuff.
And it got very intense when it started to come like to the threats and there was like,
just wait until your wedding day and was posting our like wedding website.
And there was a lot of things that like were directly a threat to our wellbeing, our livelihood,
our family, like reaching out to my grandmother, saying the craziest things, reaching out to
his mom who was like working for the government.
Like it was, there was a lot there.
Praise the Lord for his protection.
But nothing ended up happening at our wedding.
We did hire security.
We had like actual police and undercover police and the person was caught a couple months
after our wedding and went to jail on two felony counts.
And there's that.
Any more details or was that kind of a, I think that's a good summation.
A little summation.
All right.
See, we haven't really wanted to share cause honestly we just don't want to invite it to
invite it in.
But I know that a lot of y'all have been very curious as to why we needed security at our
wedding.
So there's that.
Let's do a few more.
Okay.
We're going to do a speed round, everybody.
We're going to try.
You know how that works for us.
Do either of you have anything, i.e. letters, sweatshirt, et cetera, from past relationships?
No.
You better.
Oh, you hesitated.
The reason I hesitated because I think that you do.
What?
Glasses.
Oh, wait a second.
No.
Like that's not like, yes.
Listen.
Yes.
Listen.
I don't associate those with that person.
They were a gift from the person.
Yeah.
But they were like, I don't, I don't, I don't like keep them in remembrance.
I, they're really nice sunglasses.
What do you want me to do?
I'll go break them.
I'll break them on camera.
I was just saying they don't, they don't hurt me.
But I was wondering if you were going to say no, because I'm just saying, I don't associate
with that.
Listen, what do you, what do you want me to do?
All right.
I'm going to NDR a bank account, buying another pair of glasses now.
Geez.
Why you gotta, she knew what was about to happen.
I did.
I was like, I knew you were going to be like, no.
You just sabotaged me on live YouTube.
We've got to get YouTube down here.
Not live, but Zach's not editing out that one.
Next.
What denomination of Christians are you guys?
The kind that follows Christ.
Yes.
I would say we lean towards like a non-denominational.
At least I do.
I remember when I first became a believer, someone asked me, I was like new believer.
They were like, so what denomination are you?
I'm like, I was like, what?
And they're like, you know, like Protestant, Catholic, Episcopalian, Baptist.
I literally said with no sass in my voice, no sass.
I was just like, like the kind that follows Jesus.
And I, cause I didn't, I didn't know anything about those denominations and I still treat
it that way today.
And I know, I know a little bit about them, but I think that there's believers and followers
and I follow Jesus.
All right.
Next question.
Chad, do they put makeup on you and modeling shoots?
I've always wondered about male models.
Is this a just mess with Chad day?
Okay.
Listen.
Yes.
But here's what they do.
They give you a little something for your lips because you got to get, do something
for these crusty crusts.
And then they also give you something for your under eyes.
Like some, is it called concealer?
I hate that.
I know that.
Listen, okay.
Listen to me right now.
Okay.
Whenever you have to take, start taking photos at seven 30 AM, you don't need to just wake
up at six.
You need to look like you're alive and I've just been having a joyous day and so they
make you look alive.
All right.
Next.
If you didn't live in Florida, where would you live?
This is something we've been thinking a lot about.
Put your answers in the comment below.
Next.
What's your favorite thing about the other person's parents?
Cute.
My favorite thing is how much your parents adore you.
They, you know that your parents love you.
I have so many fun things about your parents.
Um, I feel like your mom and I are so close.
One of my favorite things about his mom and she's like my shopping slash home decor partner
in crime.
Anytime it like came to decorating this house, we were always texting.
She's like helped us paint and redo like these nightstands are probably one of my most frequently
asked questions on Instagram.
Like, will you please link these nightstands?
That thing.
But his mom found them on Facebook marketplace and redid them.
Like she's so talented.
And then every time we're with Chad's dad, he's just always makes me laugh.
My dad's a riot.
He is a riot.
This is going to take us into a quick next question.
Are you guys actually close to your parents and or siblings?
And I've seen a few of these or people are like, you guys know what?
Talk about your families.
You don't like blog when we're with her.
Yeah.
We don't get to see our families very often.
And so when we are with them, we just try to spend time with them.
And also not all families feel super comfortable having all their information and a camera
being shoved in their face and not to bash that.
Some people are very cool with it, but I talk to my family every single day and she talks
to her family every single day.
We love our family very much and they support us and they're the best.
I mean, so, yeah.
And we both have brothers, by the way, because I feel like there was a couple of questions
that was like, do y'all even have siblings?
Yes.
We both have brothers.
He has an older brother.
I have a younger brother.
And what's really interesting is our brothers are so similar.
They're insanely alike.
Yeah.
It's like they should be brothers.
Genuinely.
It's the funnest thing.
Okay.
We're doing one more because we're currently late to our dinner with our neighbors.
This question, I don't know.
It's interesting.
Okay.
Do you want your future daughters to do pageants?
Did y'all know Tori was Miss Florida?
Back in the day, fam.
Back in the day.
Her talent was dance.
I just got transported somewhere.
You know what I mean?
So, I grew up in dance and pageants and I feel like it really shaped who I am.
I had so many incredible, positive experiences from it.
Just in regards to feeling confident and comfortable around adults and developing a talent and
being able to talk and formulate thoughts and, I don't know, create these friendships.
I'm still friends with girls from pageant land who I met when I was little, like little,
little.
And so, it was a really special way for me to grow up and I have nothing bad to say about
girls growing up in pageants.
Oh.
Zach.
This is so funny.
Dude, this is so funny.
Zach, say hi to the vlog.
It's not a vlog.
Say hi to the video.
Okay.
So, back to it.
I think the pageant world has changed a lot, like a lot, a lot since I was in it growing
up and kind of like what it's turned into in terms of like what you work towards.
Like, for me, it was always like working towards competing at Miss America, but the system
has just changed so much lately that I don't necessarily know if I would feel comfortable
putting our daughters in it.
And so.
That's a no from me, dog.
Leaning towards no, fam.
And, I mean, I love the woman that she has become because of that stuff, but I agree.
It's changed a lot.
It's very different now and not a fan.
Y'all, we have, there's so many more questions.
There's like 12 more.
I'm so good.
So, please let us know if you want a part two.
I'll give you an example.
How to support single friends who want to be married.
And like, I'm very passionate about this topic.
Yeah.
About this thing that society, especially Christian culture, tells you that you're
kind of a little bit less than if you're single.
Yeah.
And not that.
You can't walk in your purpose unless you're married.
Yeah.
Not that this person is saying that, by the way.
But it's just, I love the idea of making sure we're not ostracizing people of a different
relationship status.
And so.
So many more things to talk about.
Go click the link in the description.
Yeah.
To enter the giveaway to win a Filament Bible.
We're so excited and thankful to hit 3 million downloads.
What a, like, honestly, we're just blown away.
Praise God.
Yeah.
Praise God.
We love y'all.
And we'll see you in the next video.
Doo doo doo doo.
Doo doo.
Doo doo doo doo.
Doo doo.
I did a little rhythm that time.
You did.
