Leali pivotal to the Grifone's victory | Top Moment | Empoli-Genoa | Serie A 2024/25

Pezzella, away by Bani, coming as far as Angiolini. Esportito lurking on the edge of the area. Angiolini fancies it from here. Leali dives to the left. The first time the Genoa stopper has been called into action. Tino Angiolini thought about one thing and one thing only. He wriggled away from the Genoa defenders and unleashed a strike. Lovely touch from Esportito. Brings Henderson into play. Kakace on the outside. Now then, three-bombing-forward here for Empoli. Kakace! It might have just struck the upright there. If Leali got a touch, it was a fine one. And there's the threat from the Azzurri. Bombing forward all of a sudden. Four blue shirts striding forward. Kakace went for goal. Esportito against Leali. Here comes the number 99. And it's a save from the Genoa stopper. Perhaps fortuitous as it took a touch off the post, but Esportito has squandered the chance to level things up here at the Castellani. That's a fantastic save. The big right hand of Nicola Leali. And he's kept his side in front. Esportito going for power over precision.
