Mikaela and Zeb are going to another competition.
They're going to Wellington today for their arena eventing.
There's quite a lot of jumps going on in here.
It's bigger than we anticipated.
It's bloody big for a 90, don't you think?
It's quite big.
I'm quite scared.
Wow, the door!
Go!
I won't live it down.
The things I do for your YouTube channel, letting you put this.
On YouTube.
Steve, the beard looks great.
Oh, hello.
Get Steve's beard.
There you go.
I thought that he's got a beard.
Looking good, Steve.
Hey guys, and welcome back to my channel.
Welcome back to another vlog.
Got Mikaela here and Izzy.
Mikaela and Zeb are going to another competition.
Do you want to tell the vlog where you're going, what you're doing?
I'm stealing him again.
Whilst I can, I will.
So I'm going to keep stealing him.
We are going to Wellington today for their arena eventing.
So very exciting.
And what is arena eventing, just for the people that don't know?
It's in an arena.
And it's a mixture of show jumps and like portable cross-country jumps.
So it's quite fun because you've got the show jumps,
but then you've also got the cross-country jumps, which obviously we love.
She's doing the 90 centimeters.
Izzy was supposed to be taking tiny, but tiny's on three legs at the minute.
Yeah.
No, he should be okay.
He's just got a bruised foot.
Izzy's going for some support.
I'm hoping to nip up just to watch their round.
Yeah, you're still big.
I'm still big.
I only got three weeks left.
There's Kato.
There's Kato, yeah.
Kato's come back to stay for a bit.
Probably will go out.
Yeah, I actually would have done one.
That's Kato, that's Steve.
Who is Steve?
Dad's about to do some riding.
So is my sister to help me out.
Yeah, that's actually sister doing some riding.
Georgie, do a wave.
Georgie, wave at the camera.
Georgina's about to ride.
Georgie's about to ride max.
So say you're going to get ready, get loaded, head on your way,
and hopefully fingers crossed for a good day.
Okay, all three transition.
Three, two, one.
Before we get on with today's video, I'd just like to take this time
to say I have partnered up with Wild for today's video.
If you haven't heard of Wild before,
then they are trying to shake up the throwaway culture we have
with bathroom products and replace them with refillable products that actually work.
It's a great way to take a sustainable step to help reduce our single-use plastics,
which is super important to me as I like to do my bit to help the environment.
So I have the deodorant here with me today,
which I've been using for some time and absolutely love.
The deodorant contains no single-use plastic with reusable cases and compostable refills,
has natural ingredients, no complex compounds, and contains no aluminium.
They have so many different scents to choose from, so there's something for everyone.
For today, I've got the limited edition vanilla and buttercream,
which smells absolutely delightful.
So I would really highly recommend giving Wild a go
and helping to reduce our single-use plastics.
So I have a discount code for you guys,
AshleyH20, which is going to get you 20% off.
I will pop a QR code on the screen now,
and there will also be a link in the description below for you to check out Wild products.
Baby boy, ready to go?
Yeah.
Wow, the door!
Oh, you opened it.
It killed me!
Steve?
Yeah?
Thoughts on today?
About in what respect?
About the arena event, what's going to happen? Do you think predictions?
She'll go clear, easy.
Yeah?
Yeah, it's on a proper float.
Okay, there's Biggan.
Mick?
Yeah?
A little pre-match interview?
Yeah, James is going to give me an interview.
Yeah, there you go, yeah, there you go.
How are you feeling about this?
You've been on great form recently.
Obviously, you've got to watch out for Booth Clevel in number four.
How are you feeling about it?
Feeling okay, feeling confident.
We might not win, but it's all about taking part, isn't it?
And having fun.
James says no, we're going to win.
We only win.
We only win, winners only.
He said you were worried about some pesky ponies.
Pesky ponies, pesky ponies that do tight turns, jump on a six fence.
We can't do that because we're a bit bigger.
So they might just pit me to the post there,
but we'll give them a run for their money.
That's the spirit.
Thanks to you and the studio.
Right, guys, we've just got here.
It's actually not that busy.
Never really is, it's not raining.
Hopefully, we'll be like this for the rest of the day.
Although we won't be very long, we're only doing one class.
So it's actually perfect.
But we're just going to go and walk the course now and see what it's like.
Right, number one, a nice spread.
A nice spread to start, we love it when we start with a spread.
Nobody likes an upright start, do they?
No.
We're just trying to figure out where to navigate around these jumps.
There's quite a lot of jumps going on in here.
I've got to make sure that if I go in between,
I just make sure he doesn't try and jump one.
Because he's a good boy and if you see something, he'll want to do it.
So we've got to make sure we don't have a whoopsie,
because I have done that before on my other horse.
Number four, nice orange spread.
It's bloody big for a 90, don't you think?
You're on a four star horse, Michaela.
Yeah, I know, but I'm just saying.
Yeah, it is, it is.
And you're trying to do a 90 and you're just stepping up.
Don't do it here, because it's big.
Yeah, it's big.
Nice double.
Five, nice double.
I'm going to say a two.
It's two, yeah.
Lovely.
Right, number six, a nice spread.
Seven, there's a nice little curving line to number eight.
Picking point.
Right, now I've really got to remember where we're going.
We're on Circus Country now.
First one's this nice cartridge.
Wobbly.
The inside of this one is Valjillion.
So come round.
We've got some new characters to add to the vlog.
Lucy and Rachel, who now own Fionn.
This is our pony club riding instructor, so we've tagged on to their horse walk.
If Mick does anything wrong, she's going to be in trouble.
You come from that to this nice shoulder brush.
Lucy, how are you feeling?
It's quite big.
I'm quite scared.
Don't rip the water off the top of it.
No excuses.
Bec, I'd rather just be on a cross-country course.
It's all a bit twisted for me.
It is quite twisted, isn't it?
I feel like you can't get lost as much on a cross-country course either.
Yeah, this is, because it's mapped out, isn't it, with string.
Right, have you remembered where you're going, Mick?
Inside 10, 11, swoop 12, 13, the tabletop 14.
Number 15, a little castle.
Nice and easy.
Jumped many of those at Barbary.
Oh, and another one.
15, 16.
But I would come through there.
I'm just going to go down there.
Yeah, you're a miniature.
On Mick, I would have gone down there.
I haven't ridden Zeb in a while, so perhaps we'll just go round.
I don't want to have it any silly, you know.
Yeah, because you won't live it down.
I won't live it down, so.
Right, so next is the Trucana.
Don't you think this, meet the Trucana, which is next rank, guys?
Oh, we're getting told off.
We need to get out.
Right, Mick, how are you feeling?
Feeling okay.
It's bigger than we anticipated, isn't it?
Yeah.
Which I mean, you know, no feet for Zebby.
But it is bigger than we thought.
The portable kind of cross-country jumps are big.
So we're going to start with walking the show jumps.
Get that bit.
I think we've learned that bit, haven't we?
And then I've got to learn where I'm going,
because there's an awful lot of jumps in this arena.
So that's going to be confusing.
It's quite twisty and turny, yeah.
A bit confusing.
So let's see.
Let's see if I remember my course.
It's a good look.
It's a look, Michaela.
Tell you what, the things I do for your YouTube channel,
letting you put this on YouTube.
I'm not trying to even put this on my Instagram,
but I'm letting go on her.
So I've just turned up, everyone.
Michaela and Izzy have walked the course.
How was it?
Good.
Big.
Is it?
Yeah.
The meter, the meter is huge.
Oh.
Big skinny brush arrowhead.
Yeah, like the meter.
Oh, just found some money.
The trachina in the meter is huge.
Oh, wait.
If you were riding, you would do the meter and be like,
this is fun, because it's like actually quite...
Decent.
Yeah.
And like quite tricky, like big roll top,
a few strides on a curb to another big roll top.
Oh, nice.
And even like the 90, the 90's big,
not like worryingly big, like it's absolutely fine.
But I said to the vlog earlier,
like if you were stepping up from an 80 to a 90 like that.
It would be a big, yeah.
It's almost like twizzle down height.
You know, twizzle down is a little bigger.
Oh, well, that'll be good for you, Zed.
It's twisty turning.
Yeah.
I'm going to push on where I can in between,
because it is twisty turning.
Yes.
Pesky ponies will be turning on six bits like Lucy.
Yeah.
Hello.
Nice.
Right, come on.
One, two, three.
Go.
God, between the two of you.
I'm really jumpy.
I was, well I'm used to someone pushing me up a bit higher.
Basically, I'm used to not doing anything.
Yeah.
Getting me up there.
All right, you ready, Zeb?
Yes.
Zeb?
Yeah.
No, it was Fionn.
It was Fionn.
It was like on my face.
He's a friend at the last minute.
Oh.
Now he's putting his ears forward, isn't he?
Yeah.
How are you feeling?
Yeah, good.
He feels good.
He feels up for it.
He feels excited to be out.
He's not been out in a while, has he now?
No.
He did a lot back to back, and he's had a few weeks off,
so he's feeling...
He's looking very well.
He's looking very good, yeah.
No, he's looking really well.
For 21, you're looking very well, Zeb.
And he doesn't have to do the boring dressage.
No, yeah, me neither.
Yeah.
Nice.
Yeah, he looks really good, actually.
How's he feeling?
Really good.
Yeah, he looks really good, actually.
Yeah, he's feeling really good.
He feels nice and loose.
He's just up for it, hasn't he?
Yeah.
He's ready to go out there, basically.
Jumping very well.
Jumping really well.
He made some progress today, which is great.
Yeah.
So we're all ready.
Yeah, ready to go.
Nice.
Pretty certain I know my course.
Ready to go, yep.
Okay, so you're going to just jump, cross-country jump,
and spread once more.
And then you're in in a minute.
Okay, well, good luck.
Thank you very much.
Mikayla's got a stitch.
I don't think I breathed.
That's a long way to not breathe.
And he lived his best.
He was loving it.
We got in there and he saw the cross-country jumps
and he just went up again.
Yeah.
With the water.
He didn't understand that I was asking him to go up there.
And then he got there and he was like,
what the hell is that?
And I didn't really have my leg on
because I figured, is that bluffs, the water?
But he didn't go back, did he?
No, no, no, no, no.
You kept going.
Yeah.
It looked quite deep.
It's deep.
It's very, it almost looks like a pond.
It's very murky.
Yeah, it's got loads of algae running in it.
But I mean, I think he flew around.
Oh no, he did.
That was great.
He absolutely loved it.
He looked so fun.
Took a few tighter turns than I thought I was going to.
Because like, he felt so,
he was listening to me so well.
I thought, screw it.
That was really good.
Well done.
Right guys, I just finished.
I'm just walking him around
because he's a little bit sweaty.
Just walking him off, cooling him down.
Nice for him to have me off his back
and have a good cool down and warm,
kind of cool down and walk off.
Oh, he flew around there.
I mean, you guys would have seen
because you would have just watched it.
But he absolutely loved every second of that, as did I.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
I feel very lucky.
You know, my little pony is 24 now
and is slowing down now.
And I haven't been able to do stuff like this for a while.
So it's amazing to be out and about
and doing stuff like this again
because I haven't done it in years.
You do miss it when you don't get to do that anymore.
So I'm so thankful to Ash that I've been able to
and equally I've been able to keep Zeb ticking.
Hey Zebby, you definitely felt good today.
Surprised me at the water.
Zeb loves water guys.
So that was a weird one,
but it was very murky water.
We live and we learn.
We kept the joker up as well.
And I feel like I pushed for a good time.
So hopefully that was good.
Over and out.
Okay, it's ready to go again.
Good boy.
All right, guys.
Okay, so results are in.
Why do you think you came?
Oh God.
Four.
Four, but if it's like seven.
There weren't 17 people in there.
So second.
Yeah, Lucy came third.
Well, Lucy did well.
It's confusing though.
So you've got clear and then it says,
so that says zero and then 2.84.
I don't know what that means.
It must be time.
That means time.
But too fast or too slow.
Yeah, I don't know.
Second.
Yeah, yeah.
Really good.
See you later.
See you later, guys.
Oh, amazing.
Well, that's a good day's work.
I wonder if that was too fast or too slow.
I know.
At times I then push and I was like,
oh, is this now too fast?
Because I just don't know.
Oh, second is brilliant.
There was an option of time.
Okay.
I'll take second.
Yeah, that's good.
You seem to have a running record of second, as I said.
Nearly coming second and coming second.
Because I came second at the last one.
Yeah.
I forgot to get my prize.
I still haven't got my prize.
Oh, I missed it now.
Yeah, I know.
It's too late.
Well, let's go and get our rosette then.
Oh, that was really good.
Well done, Zeb.
Second place.
Can't complain at that, can you?
Good boy, Zeb.
Yeah.
Zeb says, right, what do I get for second place?
Cheesy, love.
Okay, guys.
So, well, you had a very good round, didn't you?
Very good round.
I'm very pleased with that.
Yeah.
It's a very long, twisty course.
Yes.
Like I hadn't walked it when I came to watch.
It was, you have to go back on yourself a lot.
A lot of jumps, but Zeb was absolutely in his element, wasn't he?
In his element.
I took a few, like, tight turns and he just felt so, like, he almost liked that.
I think he was, like, he liked the challenge.
And it's funny because I was doing a tight turn in between two jumps.
And could you see I was going, no, don't you?
Because I could feel him thinking, which jump, which jump are we trying to go through?
So he absolutely, he loved it.
Yeah.
He really did love it.
Well, he just loves competing.
And then I think as soon as he saw the cross-country jumps, he was very-
Oh, the minute I got in that big arena and he saw the cross-country jumps,
his head just went up.
And he was so excited.
It was good fun.
And they finished second.
So absolute bonus.
And we haven't had to come very far because it's only 20 minutes down the road.
So that's an even bigger bonus.
One round, 20 minutes down the road.
Go and get some chips and we're good to go home.
Yeah.
So we hope you guys enjoyed this quickfire vlog.
Thank you for all your support as always.
And we'll see you for the next one.
Bye.
