Hi guys!
Welcome back to my channel and back to another Ride With Me vlog.
Stacey!
Actually...
Don't mind me.
It's okay.
One request, Miss Confetti.
I know my GoPro is waterproof, but I would appreciate it if you didn't knock it into
the water bucket.
Yeah!
In today's lesson, I have the absolute privilege of riding sweet little Confetti Cake.
I love this pony.
She is the most adorable pony ever.
She is so sweet.
She's a little bit sassy, a little bit speedy.
She's super smooth.
I haven't ridden Confetti in such a long time, so I'm super glad that I get to ride her.
It's been a long time since I've been on a pony as well, so I'm very excited for my little
pony ride today.
You're making soup, Confetti.
It's called a haystew.
Haystew?
I don't know what it is, but she's putting her blood, sweat, and tears in it.
She does that a lot.
So Confetti was putting her heart and soul into making that haystew.
It was absolutely disgusting, but you know what?
As long as she's having a good time, then it's all right.
She is making soup.
Okay, so now that we are done with grooming, I am moving on to picking out her hooves.
Confetti has the tiniest little pony hooves, especially after riding a larger horse.
I think I rode Calvin last, and then I come on Confetti, it's like night and day between
the two of them.
But now I'm just moving on to tacking up before we're ready to head in.
On today's episode of Ontario's Crazy Bipolar Weather, last week we had minus 10 degrees
Celsius, today we have plus 10 degrees Celsius.
So it's definitely a lot warmer, but we still have to put a cooler on.
Confetti!
Back.
Okay, no more soup.
Back, please.
Confetti, that's disgusting.
Confetti, back.
Confetti!
She's not moving so I could bridle her.
She's got her face in the water bucket.
She's been making soup.
And now her face is all wet.
Thank you, darling.
Ew.
I know, your soup is delicious.
I don't want any, no thank you.
Her face is soaking wet.
One of my favourite things about Confetti is her little bug eyes.
They are the buggiest bug eyes I've ever seen.
And they just suit her face so perfectly.
Especially with that GoPro angle, we get that side eye going.
Most adorable thing I've ever seen.
Um, okay, excuse me, Pumbaa pig.
Excuse me, Pumbaa pig.
I'm just going to sneak by here.
Poor Confetti.
Good girl.
Ew.
Door!
Yeah?
Okay guys, so now I'm just doing my prep steps before we get on.
And honestly, I'm so excited.
I've been wanting to ride a pony for a while now.
Specifically Confetti.
I absolutely adore and love Confetti.
She's the sweetest thing ever.
Some of you have noticed that I haven't ridden Maple in a really, really long time.
Maple is another pony that we have here if you guys don't know her.
But sweet little Maple had an injury back in August.
And she's been off this entire time.
She's actually just coming back into work again.
So maybe we'll see her soon.
Wow!
You can walk on.
There.
Good girl.
Walk on.
I feel absolutely tiny after being on a 16 three-hand horse.
Confetti is 13.2 hands.
And the funniest part is that I can't even see my leg position in the mirror when we're trotting by.
Confetti.
Oh, so we're doing some naughty pony schooling today, are we Confetti?
So every time at the beginning of a ride, Confetti is going to try some stuff.
She's going to see if she can get away with some sassy and naughty pony behavior.
But usually she'll only try like once or twice.
And then when she kind of realizes that I'm not going to let her get away with it, then she's the perfect angel.
I feel so small.
So a little quirk with Confetti is going over pulls and jumps.
She tends to like slowly slide to the right.
So I try to keep that left rein a little bit open and right leg on to keep her centered.
And then, of course, as always, holding two-point over the pull.
And the goal is to stay as straight as possible after the pull as well, because they will try to make that turn sooner.
What are lazy things?
Flopping around?
So over the pulls here, you can see I have a little bit too much left rein and not enough right leg.
So we have her nose pointed to the left.
We don't have her body.
So she's actually quite crooked instead of being straight.
I feel so sore today.
I don't know why.
Yeah, like I haven't even done.
I've had like more rest, but like my legs are hurting.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay, so that would explain why Confetti was looking really crooked over those pulls.
My right leg wasn't even really on her.
Today, it was just like I said, I was feeling super sore today.
My right leg was feeling a little bit weird, but I think my right stirrup was slightly longer than my left, which was causing some of this.
Yeah.
Does the right strip look long?
Maybe.
Okay.
I wonder.
Okay.
So those of you that saw my video with red, you know that red has been feeling a little bit wild, a little bit spicy lately.
He was definitely being a little bit fresh today.
So I had to make sure that I wasn't like speeding up behind him because I didn't want to like set him off or anything.
I was trying to stay as far away as possible from him.
Whenever I ride Confetti, she works so hard.
I'm definitely a little bit heavier than her average rider.
She's used to having featherweight little kids on her back.
So whenever I ride her, this poor girl is like puffing and puffing.
But me too, so it's okay.
But I think we had a good canter there.
We only broke once and I had her cantering the whole time, which I think is something that I've noticed a big improvement on lately,
is I've really been able to keep the canter more than I had previously.
So I guess my legs are a little bit stronger.
So when cantering, Confetti does this thing where she likes to kind of pin herself against the wall.
So normally that you would use inside leg to keep them in the corners.
But for Confetti, I need a little bit more outside leg to keep her off of the walls.
We're going to try a circle up here.
Okay, so here definitely too much right rein.
My hand is not supposed to be crossing over her neck, so ignore that.
So Red was having a little bit of a spicy moment, so we had to stop there.
But overall, I do think we had a pretty good canter.
And now we're just going to take a little bit of walk break before we go on to jumping.
Okay, so now we are moving on to jumping and Confetti literally has the most adorable jump ever.
She doesn't jump like up and over.
She just jumps straight up.
It's so funny.
Good girl, Confetti.
Her jump is so funny.
It's just boing.
Really? You should.
It's like very funny.
Poor little Confetti is honestly not very athletic at all.
She's not a great mover.
She's just not athletic, but we love her.
Good girl, Confetti.
She's so adorable.
I love this stinking pony.
Yeah, yeah.
I was like, oh boy, we're going for it.
Yeah, I think I'm getting a little bit more confident with choosing my distances.
Diagonal X going away from home.
This one.
Wait.
This one.
Then outside line.
No.
Wait.
This one.
Diagonal line.
Outside, outside.
Presents.
Outside, outside.
Oh my goodness.
Okay, one more time.
This one.
Diagonal line.
This one.
Diagonal line.
Christmas presents.
Outside, outside.
This one.
Green.
Okay, I got it, but I'm still not going first.
Guys, I am notorious for forgetting courses.
And for some reason, this one, I just had such a hard time wrapping my head around.
I don't know why.
A little rough around the edges, but.
Thank you.
Confetti is huffing and puffing.
It's hot?
Yeah.
We got these pictures post and now it's 20, 30 degrees warmer than it was a week ago.
Yeah.
It's hot enough.
Okay, guys.
So, we didn't forget our course.
So, bonus points for that.
It was a little rough around the edges.
Could use some tidying up.
Her right drift was definitely prominent over those jumps.
So, we did get the chance to try the course a second time.
Very, very sadly, though, my GoPro died.
So, this is all that I have for you guys today.
I'm sorry.
I know that's two videos in a row.
I'm sorry.
I'll fix it.
I promise.
But I hope you guys enjoyed.
Thank you so much for watching.
I'll see you in my next video.
Don't forget to like and subscribe.
Bye.
